Programme Overview

The Refugee Employability Programme is a new initiative that offers enhanced support to defined cohorts of legally recognised refugees in the UK. Starting in September 2023, the programme will provide tailored support for each participant focussed on gaining sustainable employment. Palladium will work with employers, local government, and other community partners to ensure that individuals are fully supported with their journey back to employment and integration into UK society. The programme includes delivery of employability- focussed English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) tuition for some of the defined cohorts.

Palladium is responsible for delivering the programme in the South East of England

Primary Duties and responsibilities:

As Case Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the front-line support to customers on the Home Office Refugee Employability Programme, ensuring that they receive excellent service which is compliant with all Home Office requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Take responsibility for engaging with potential customers, explaining eligibility and bringing in referrals to the programme as part of a coordinated team approach.

· Be accountable for your caseload of assigned customers and working with them to address their learning, integration and employment needs in line with both contractual requirements and the individual’s needs. This will include:   

o Building rapport and a positive working relationship with each customer.

o Assessing the customer’s starting position to decide how to best meet their needs. 

o Creating and following through with individual Personal Development Plans, ensuring appropriate and effective activity is undertaken by each customer.

o Providing challenge, advice, and guidance where appropriate, to develop customers’ capability in the recruitment process ensuring they have the necessary skills and confidence to secure employment.

· Develop an understanding of specialist signposting services in the local area/region, so that you are able to source and refer customers to additional support when needed;

· Cultivate a welcoming environment and ensure a high level of engagement / re-engagement with customers;

· Work collaboratively as part of a small team to ensure excellent support for all customers;

· Deliver programme in accordance with contractual Service Level Agreements and company standards;

· Maintain customers’ records in accordance with data protection requirements so that personal information is safeguarded, and the customer journey is accurately recorded;

· Meet personal performance targets, Key Performance Indicators and Quality and Compliance measures by delivering high quality employability provision to customers, both remotely and face to face;

· Develop relationships and networks with key local stakeholders including employers to provide the best possible support for customers.

Skills and experience:

Required

· Experience of providing one-to-one support and coaching to individuals with the ability to constructively challenge where needed

· Experience in the management of a caseload of individual customers according to a set of contractual standards and requirements

Location and compensation

You will primarily working on an outreach basis within the community and you will be given a base location. Any travel to meet customers outside the base location will be reimbursed in line with the travel policy.

Compensation: You will receive a salary in the range 26,000-29,000 GBP per annum, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including private health insurance and up to 10% employer pension contributions.

We have three exciting opportunities for an Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) to join the team, with one permanent role and two positions to cover maternity leave. As an ISVA you will deliver 1-2-1 support to clients in the community across Lancashire and at criminal justice locations. These roles are all full-time working shirts between 9am and 6:30pm with at lease two 6:30pm finishes per week. About the role:

This role offers help and support directly to victims and survivors of sexual violence, working to the national ISVA framework to provide support throughout victims criminal justice journey, or if they haven't reported the incident to the police, on their own recovery journey.

The role involves regular travel across Lancashire, and supporting victims and survivors directly at criminal justice hearings: a driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.

The successful post holder will ensure victims and survivors receive ongoing continuity of support, advocacy and impartial advice and information including reporting to the police, accessing Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) services, and specialist support such as pre-trial therapy and sexual violence counselling.

ROLE SUMMARY 

The Head of Fundraising & Events will contribute to the growth of upReach through the raising of significant funds; you will have oversight of income generation from various sources including major donors, individuals, trusts & foundations and a portfolio of events. The role will suit innovative individuals with significant experience of fundraising from major donors and at least one of the other specified income streams, and event planning. 

You will represent upReach externally, advocating our work and building strategic relationships across our markets. You will be accountable for agreed income targets, developing the fundraising strategy and identifying new opportunities.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head of Fundraising & Events will support upReach's mission by meeting financial targets, recognising when to make the fundraising ‘ask’ and leading the annual budget process. You will use clear, creative written communication to produce convincing cases for support, represent the charity at relevant networking events, work closely with the upReach Development Board and act as an ambassador for the organisation.

Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will manage three direct reports and support individuals participating in the Future Charity Leaders Programme (upReach’s graduate scheme). You will work closely with  the CEO, Programmes and Finance teams and colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team.

The core responsibilities include: 

Leadership and strategy 

• Lead income generation to realise financial targets in line with the overarching strategy, personal responsibility for securing 5 and 6 figure gifts. 

• Provide leadership and inspire staff and volunteers to excel and achieve, champion the upReach values and defined Leadership qualities.

• Commit to the annual appraisal process, including deadlines and develop stretching, SMART OKRs (objectives and key results) to meet our strategic goals. 

• Deputise for the Director in their absence and play an active role in the Leadership team.

• Lead the strategic and operational planning process for the functional areas of responsibility and ensure the involvement of relevant stakeholders. 

• Keep abreast of developments, changes in trends and patterns, new techniques and legislation. Take responsibility for own professional development.

• Ensure planned activity is delivered in compliance with relevant charity law, other legislation, best practice and corporate policy.

• Act as a senior sounding board to ensure strategic decisions regarding donors and funders resonate with our objectives and mission.

• Contribute to strategic thinking including risk management and mitigation.

• Collate and present timely monthly management reports for each income stream.

• Lead the annual budget and financial forecasting processes to facilitate reporting and  strategic-decision making.

Working with stakeholders (internal and external) 

• Collaborate with colleagues in the income generation and external engagement team to identify and secure all various income generating and profile raising opportunities, ensuring maximum impact and contribution from funders. 

• Lead, champion and model a culture of outstanding donor stewardship and supporter care; including best practice and behaviour. 

• Develop and foster effective relationships with key external contacts at all levels, e.g. donors, supporters, suppliers. 

• Make the fundraising ‘ask’ as and when appropriate, or support others to do so.

• Respond promptly to requests for information and action from supporters.

• Report and disseminate the key issues to emerge from supporter feedback. 

• Manage the complaints procedures for the department and conduct full investigation of all complaints received by the department.

Developing, maintaining systems and procedures 

• Determine and manage the operating systems needed to deliver activity and enable effective donor, supporter and volunteer relationship management. 

• Effectively develop the donor journey.

• Ensure records in the CRM are up to date.

• Conduct analysis of data from across functions responsible for, drawing conclusions, making recommendations to the Director. 

• Ensure the management of systems and processes comply with the organisation’s data protection obligations, charity law and other legal requirements.

People Management and Team Working

• Recruit and lead the Fundraising & Events team, rotatees and volunteers as required.

• Ensure upReach promotes a high performance culture and professional integrity.

• Continue to develop the skills and knowledge of you and your team to ensure you are up-to-date with changing regulation and fundraising best practices.

• Lead and champion the implementation of business improvement and people development initiatives including training and rotations.

• Collaborate with colleagues across the department and organisation.

Major Donors and Individuals

• Develop and implement fundraising strategies to grow income.

• Nurture relationships with donors including high net worth individuals maintaining the highest level of donor care.

• Research, identify and engage prospective donors to secure 5 and 6 figure gifts.

• Lead the team on increasing donors numbers and gift income.

• Develop a legacies strategy and oversee delivery of awareness campaign.

Events

• Oversee the delivery of a sector leading events portfolio, achieving 5 and 6 figure income targets and building a pipeline of future activity.

• Lead the team on the delivery of multiple and complex events and activities at the same time including the Student Social Mobility Awards (SSMA’s).

• Engage, steward and motivate key stakeholders including the Development Board, potential event committee members and other high value volunteers to grow our network and deliver successful fundraising events.

Trusts, Foundations & Corporates

• Oversight of Trusts, Foundation & Corporate fundraising strategy.

• Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to identify and build relationships with Companies, Trusts and Foundations which are mission and/or programme aligned.

• Support the acquisition of new, multi year funders and existing donors.

Other

• Regular out of office work may be required in order that the organisation is able to deliver on its commitments to its stakeholders

• Some UK travel will be required from time to time

About the Role

As the Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure major donations from individuals in the first instance. You will also manage the Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager. You will develop and execute a dynamic strategy to secure major donations, ensuring the annual income targets are met. You will nurture key relationships with existing donors, ambassadors, celebrities, and potential new supporters, leveraging these connections. You will build and manage a robust pipeline of supporters, ensuring continuous growth and rejuvenation.

Your strategic mindset and innovative approach enable you to develop and execute successful fundraising initiatives that drive results. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

We do this through the provision of supported housing and enhanced management services for individuals with multiple disadvantages, who are in housing need.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Housing & Support Worker, where empowering individuals living in our supported accommodation will be at the heart of what you do. 

The successful candidate would work across all DASH supported housing projects, but primarily within our Dispersed Service based in the Durham area.  You will be responsible for providing enhanced housing management, advocacy and support to residents with mid to high, multiple needs including mental and physical health issues, history of DV, substance dependency and housing related support needs. 

You will be focussed on helping our residents to build on their strengths, overcome problems and support them to move towards a more independent lifestyle. You’ll do this through your care, respect, empathy, and commitment to creating and delivering tailored, personalised support plans, and multi-agency working.

Maintaining a safe and secure environment is key, this may see you dealing with emergency situations and so you will work within H&S procedures especially regarding Risk Assessment, Safeguarding, and Lone Working.

Rough sleeping data shows that migrants make up more than 50% of the people rough sleeping in London. The MAPS service provides a rapid intervention to support clients who are migrants and rough sleeping in London to find a route into accommodation that is suitable and sustainable in the UK or elsewhere in the world. We are looking for someone to join our team as a Service Manager where you will:

· Lead a well-established flagship service within St Mungo’s and help develop best practice in support for non-UK nationals sleeping rough in London

· Support a team of Coordinators and Assessment and Reconnection workers to identify and deliver effective routes off the streets for non-UK nationals.

· Through the practice of the team, evidence the barriers to ending rough sleeping amongst Non UK nationals and work collaboratively across the sector to address them

· While your usual working hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, occasional work during early or late hours may occur in response to challenging situations and to prevent rough sleeping.

About you

We are a small team so try to maximise our resources and find creative solutions to resolve people’s homelessness. Due to the legislative climate in which we work, accommodation options are often limited for our client group, and so we are looking for someone who can be flexible, proactive and is passionate about working migrants.

Ideally you would have experience of working with vulnerable people and an understanding of the needs and support requirements of this client group, particularly non-UK nationals.

About the role:

• An excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with staff and colleagues in different cultural environments
• Outstanding written skills with the ability to work with programme and finance colleagues to design robust project proposals, reporting, and monitoring and evaluation
• Confident in working with financial information including project budgets
• Excellent written and verbal skills with strong attention to detail

The Organiser's work will include identifying, recruiting and supporting people charged or denied healthcare and facilitating their participation in the Patients Not Passports campaign, as well as supporting migrant movement builders to organise, lead and deliver organised and effective social justice actions locally, regionally and nationally alongside supporters and allies. 

Our Senior Practitioners will provide interim cover across SHP, providing supervisory support where needed to staff teams. This could include our Multiple Disadvantage and Complex Needs accommodation services, Young Peoples Services or Floating Support Services.

About the role and services:

Multiple Disadvantage and Complex Needs: These services provide accommodation and support to people who are moving from rough sleeping and who have needs relating to their mental and physical health, their substance addiction, offending behaviour and mental health. Often at the point of referral, a client’s needs have not been met by any of the services they may require. Part of our role is building the trusting relationships required to put the necessary support in place. Understandably, therefore, these services operate in challenging environments and require resilient and compassionate staff.

Young Peoples' Services: These services are dedicated to providing support to young people, specifically in relation to leaving care, offending behaviour, gang affiliation, complex mental health and anti-social behaviour. We work within a strengths and recovery framework embedded within a trauma informed approach to ensure client needs and aspirations are at the centre of the support planning process. Working in these services would mean overseeing the support and development of the young person’s needs and aspirations. The postholder will hold a caseload of complex cases and will be responsible for supporting the team to manage complex cases. You will guide and signpost the young person to the relevant statutory and non-statutory services and will be key in motivating and coaching the young person to develop independent living skills.

Floating Support Services: Focussed on fostering independence and empowering your clients, we work to support individuals to sustain their tenancy, enhance their wellbeing, build resilience, and achieve their goals and aspirations. Whether assisting with housing issues, addressing mental health concerns, or supporting the development of daily living skills, the primary goal is to enable clients to navigate challenges and lead fulfilling lives. All work undertaken will be in line with planned support, making sure that clients are actively involved and that the support offered is full and holistic. You would be part of a supportive and inclusive work environment that values teamwork and individual growth.

We are looking to recruit permanent staff with these qualities to provide SHP’s clients with consistent support in line with SHP’s values, delivery model, policies and procedures and support planning tools.

Advance is an award-winning and innovative women-only organisation, established in 1998, providing emotional and practical support to women and girls survivors of domestic abuse and supporting women with short-term sentences to reduce offending.  We believe in empowering women and girls to lead safe, non-violent, equal lives so that they can flourish and contribute to the community.

About the role:

Are you an excellent relationship builder who can work with women and a diverse range of delivery partners to ensure that she meets her potential and successfully progresses through and beyond her probation supervision? Can you meet a women wherever she is at in her journey and work with her to create an individualised support package that gives her the best chance of breaking the cycle of offending?

In your role as a Community Keyworker, you will be working with women involved in the Criminal Justice System; those on Probation in the Community and those women being released from Prison as part of their Post Sentence Supervision; providing some in-reach and ‘Through the Gate’ support. You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide holistic one to one community support to women with a variety of needs.

About You:

To be successful as the Community Key Worker you will need the below experience and skills.

You will need to hold a UK driving licence with access to car that can be used for work purposes. A creative self-starter who will support the service and look for innovative solutions to support clients with complex needs. You are confident professional relationship builder with have good awareness of Safeguarding procedures. Strong Administration skills and understanding of compliant behaviours also, experience of supporting. With good knowledge of the criminal justice system and awareness of other support provisions within the Hampshire area.
