OVERVIEW
Rising Sun Domestic Violence and Abuse Service (Rising Sun) is an independent charity in Kent working to prevent domestic abuse and improve the lives of survivors and their children suffering from its effects. We have an ambitious vision for a world in which women and children live free from actual or threatened domestic abuse and all forms of violence.
Our team provide a range of services to adults and children who’ve experienced domestic abuse. We understand the impact of domestic abuse on survivors and so we listen to individual needs and respond in a trauma informed way. We provide one-to-one support and also deliver therapeutically informed group programmes to help survivors to recognise healthy/unhealthy behaviours in relationships and to understand the impact of domestic abuse. Bringing survivors together validates experiences and enables them to draw strength from one another.
As part of our passionate and committed team of approximately 50 staff, our aspiration is that you will thrive and develop in this varied role. You will be contributing to the invaluable work of the Rising Sun and making a lasting difference to the lives of those who are impacted by domestic abuse.
JOB PURPOSE
Liberty House provides housing and support for up to 5 homeless young women aged 16-24 who are single, pregnant or have a young child and have experienced domestic abuse.
The support worker will be required to take on key-working responsibilities for the residents at Liberty House, as well as delivering other support work within the house and within the wider Liberty team. This could be related to pregnancy and parenting, life skills, psychoeducational support, understanding healthy relationships and building supportive peer relationships within the home, and supporting them to live independently.
The post holder will work to provide a secure, stable and homely environment and to act as a positive role model to residents. They will build professional and supportive relationships with residents and colleagues.
The project works to empower residents, providing them with information relating to their rights and enabling them to make decisions based on their options using a trauma informed approach.
As a member of the Liberty Team (16 – 24 year olds), the successful applicant will work collaboratively with the rest of the Children and Young People’s team, as well as the wider Rising Sun team to support other programmes delivered within the organisation.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Service Delivery
- Provide holistic, trauma informed, practical and emotional support to residents of Liberty House through regular 1-2-1 sessions. Develop individual support plans, which address any practical and emotional needs the resident may have, such as accessing benefits, life skills and perform risk assessments where needed.
- Organise and deliver group sessions that focus on life skills and strengthening relationships.
- Encourage the residents in positive parenting.
- Manage relationships within the house, act as a conciliator, arbitrator and reconciler in disputes between residents.
- Ensure residents adhere to house rules.
- Assist with the day to day general running of the house and office, to ensure they are fit for purpose and safe for team members and residents.
- Conduct safety checks around the house. Ensure all faults/repairs are reported and that the Health and Safety Policy is adhered to at all times.
- Comply with organisational policies and procedures and adhere to confidentiality.
- Work effectively in partnership with other agencies.
- Work within our ethos of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion at all times and instil these values in all areas of work, with service users, staff and external stakeholders.

We're seeking two skilled and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Senior Practitioners for a Care Leaver service operating under the Ofsted Supported Accommodation Regulation. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing effective support to at risk young people with complex mental health, and support and coaching to staff.

ShareAction’s Financial Sector Research (FSR) team researches a variety of sectors’ performance and publishes regular rankings and analysis, as well as engaging with each surveyed institution and providing them with detailed recommendations for improvement. The FSR team also supports other campaign teams within ShareAction by providing relevant data and increasingly aims to share more data externally, too.
What you’ll do
The Senior Research Officer will contribute to this research, collecting information from institutions and databases, analysing quantitative and qualitative data, producing engaging content, and translating this analysis into actionable steps for institutions in our reports.
The focus of this role is to support the production and publication of our survey of the European banking sector. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues in both the Financial Sector Research and the Banking Standards teams to:
- Develop a methodology that is consistent with other financial sector benchmarks published by ShareAction, reflects recent market developments, draws on internal and external subject matter expertise, and reflects our campaign priorities.
- Collect, audit and analyse data regarding banks’ climate and sustainability strategies.
- Produce accurate and engaging written reports and data visualisations summarising the key findings of the research and drafting credible and persuasive recommendations.
- Support the presentation of the survey’s findings to banks, investors, funders, and the media.
- Contribute to responses to external consultations from regulators, policymakers, and other NGOs and support data sharing with external partners as appropriate.
The survey and benchmark of the European banking sector will be led by the Banking Programme team, with support from the Financial Sector Research team. This role will sit within the Financial Sector Research team, to benefit from the experience and processes already established for ShareAction’s asset management and insurance benchmarks. While you will focus on the survey of the European banking sector, there will be an opportunity to contribute to and learn about the other financial sector benchmarks as part of this role.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Analysing quantitative and qualitative data and writing reports on banks’ responsible finance performance.
- Coordinating between the Financial Sector Research and Banking Standards teams to ensure consistency across ShareAction’s financial sector benchmarks.
- Conducting research across the themes covered by the benchmarks that draws on internal and external resources to inform survey development and data analysis.
- Using Excel and Python to analyse and organise large data sets (training will be provided for Python if needed).
- Participating in engagement calls with banks and answering technical questions relating to the research content.
- Presenting findings of our work to external and internal stakeholders through blogs, presentations, webinars, and roundtables and supporting the coordination of these events as appropriate.
- Organising and planning work with a high level of autonomy.
- Supporting the monitoring, evaluation and learning of our work.

CONTEXT AND ORGANISATIONAL VALUES
There are millions of highly educated, well-paid, politically engaged people who care deeply about the world. Every morning, they go to work in professional services firms, knowing that the firms they work for and the industries that they are a part of are blockers rather than enablers to a just transition.
They look for ways to ‘make a difference’ internally but fall at every hurdle. They think about quitting but feel financially tied to their jobs. They become accepting of the fact that things are how they are. They become disillusioned and start to feel helplessness and even shame. They offer little value to the just transition that the world needs and that they themselves yearn for.
Impatience Insiders’ job is to get these people organised, educated, and mobilised on terms that work for them, and turn shame and disillusion into action and progress. Our ambition is to fill a gaping hole in civil society organising infrastructure and create a permanent piece of the civil society landscape.
We are looking to build and invest in a series of insider movements in food retail, management consulting, advertising, public affairs and finance. By 2030 we aim to see the ‘insider movement’ model mainstreamed as a vehicle for private but collective activism for corporate insiders. Insider Movements will be thriving within scores of just transition-critical industries. The successes of early insider movements will be well known and held as examples of how insider power can help transform industries and drive a socially just and environmentally regenerative transition.
Your job will be to help seed and support these movements as well as helping build the broader insider ecosystem.
OVERVIEW
This is an exciting opportunity to join and help shape a new and innovative social organisation that is working to train, support and mobilise corporate ‘Insiders’ to help them transform their industries to support a more just and regenerative world.

We are looking for a self-starter who will flourish as a facilitator of insider groups, as a recruiter of Insiders, as an advocate and sector-builder for the insider community, and as someone who can put the building blocks in place for an organisation that is set to grow and flourish.
To begin with, you will be hosted at non-profit Impatience Ltd who are providing hosting support to Impatience Insiders.

Support the Insiders group. Undertaking meeting prep, presenting documents and supporting recruitment and onboarding of insiders;

Help research and identify partners to turn insider insights into campaigns to influence change within the sector;

Help with the organising of the UK’s first ‘Insider Summit’ where we bring together people doing insider work across a range of industries and forms;

Input on the develop the methodology for insider group development;

Support fundraising efforts;

Help with the project-management of external agencies that are conducting delivery work for each project, from conception through to delivery and dissemination with civil society organisations, government, media and/or investors.

The Opportunity
WorkWell is a government funded programme that offers an early-intervention work and health support and assessment service. This provides holistic support to overcome health-related barriers to employment, and a single, joined-up gateway to other support services.
We work in partnership with mental and/or physical health clinical teams, GP practices and other referral partners who refer clients who are currently in employment but are experiencing difficulties in the workplace and require assistance to help them return to work, remain in work or find new employment. This programme will also support those who have fallen out of work to get the support they need to return to employment. That support will be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
We need a team of four Work and Health Coaches to provide highly effective support to individuals and guide them on their journey to returning, remaining or finding new employment while also supporting them to improve their health and wellbeing. The Work and Health Coach will also be instrumental in supporting participants to remove health related barriers by sourcing and funding appropriate interventions.
There is a total of four roles, with three full time and one part time, Work and Health Coaches.
Who we are:
Founded in 1992 by a group of mental health professionals, Working Well Trust was established to address the issue of low employment rates for people who have experienced mental health issues. Since starting we have seen advances in the specialist support offered to people seeking employment and a change in cultural attitudes towards mental health.
In the last few years we have adapted this approach to work with people with Autism (ASD), people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or complex issues including homelessness or addiction.
We focus on four main areas:
Employment Support – offering support that meets the individual’s needs using both the traditional stepped approach and the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
Employer support – enabling the recruitment and retention of their employees.
Social Enterprises – we offer training within social enterprises for people who want to gain a new skill, increase their confidence and be part of a team.

The Opportunity
The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) role will be well-suited to someone who is focused on the best ways they can help the aims of the charity as well as those of our participants and partners. You will be a Mental Health and Wellbeing Lead who is passionate about supporting MAC-UK’s objective of working collaboratively with young people, innovating services and systems and their approach to mental health, to address health and social inequalities. We aim to support services to be more accessible, flexible and responsive to excluded groups, and to change the systems that lead to and maintain inequality. This role will have management responsibilities and is ideal for someone who is looking to apply their proven management and therapeutic skills alongside the area of social action.
We are very excited to be part of a pilot service, new in England working as part of a consortium of four organisations, alongside Lambeth Council. This will be a residential support service for young people aged 16-24 years at risk of serious youth violence, who are already caught up in the criminal justice system and at high risk of remaining part of the system. You will be working across three London properties alongside a large multi-agency staff team made up of experts by experience/profession in psychology and therapy; youth work; offending; education, training, and employment (ETE) and housing. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to exit environments involving youth violence, identify and reach their goals and aspirations, move on successfully to appropriate independent living, and importantly to sustain this life. Wherever possible staff and young people will co-produce what this service looks like and what activities the young people engage in.

The BBFC is at an exciting time in its journey, working in partnership with regulatory bodies around the world to establish a new organisation that uses the power of AI to respond to the ever-changing need to provide locally recognisable ratings on media and digital content globally. The BBFC is also developing a bespoke AI tool to identify and tag content issues, with the potential to bring large-scale efficiencies to the classification process domestically and globally. Through a new trading subsidiary, the BBFC will deliver the culmination of over seven years’ work, developing new technologies to improve how we view content and represents a major opportunity to reshape content classification, making it more cost-effective, faster and globally scalable. The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in the roll-out and development of our new ventures.
The Role
The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for providing strategic leadership across finance and the broader strategic growth of the BBFC. Reporting into the Chief Executive Officer and as part of the ELT, your responsibilities will be as follows:
- Lead the delivery of all required financial resources and advice to enable the highest quality services to internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and engage in strategic discussion and decision-making as member of the Executive Leadership Team and other governance committees
- Work with internal and external stakeholders in the roll-out of the BBFC’s new AI tool and commercial trading subsidiary
- Provide management information and analysis of the BBFC’s actual and forecast financial performance, providing a business partnering service to colleagues; producing concise and meaningful commentary on performance against agreed targets and comprehensive risk analysis
- Manage the BBFC finance team (2 staff), supporting in mentorship, training and skills development
- Build and contribute to external networks and commercial partnerships, building on BBFC’s reputation, and ensure that BBFC learns from and builds on best practice
- Accountability for the organisation’s financial accounts and the other statutory financial information
- Act as the main point of contact for external Auditors, HMRC, Banks, Investment Managers, Suppliers and any other appropriate body to ensure the BBFC’s financial and commercial interests are protected
- Ensure compliance with current UK legislation, including the Companies Act, HMRC regulations, and any other relevant legislation. Maintain a register of policies
About You
- You will be an experienced Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer or equivalent.
- You will be a qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or qualified by experience with extensive relevant experience in a similar role
- You will have experience in operating at executive leadership level, including working closely with C-Suite level individuals and Board members to oversee financial strategy for an organisation
- You will be proactive in identifying solutions and be able to make decisive values-based decisions
- Experience of working with investors and raising funds desirable
