This senior role is crucial in shaping, developing, and implementing safeguarding and risk management policies and processes that support CISV’s mission of fostering intercultural understanding. The post holder will oversee the safeguarding and risk management systems for all of CISV’s global peace education programmes, ensuring they meet high safety standards and comply with legal and regulatory frameworks. As part of the Senior Management Team, you will report directly to the CEO and lead a small staff team as well as a volunteer network of risk managers, providing training, guidance, and expert advice on risk management and safeguarding matters.
The successful candidate will be a people person and a charismatic leader, conscious that empowering colleagues and volunteers is more effective than just ‘managing them.’ You will bring significant senior-level safeguarding experience, ideally in child protection, along with a strong understanding of UK safeguarding laws and the regulatory requirements of the Charity Commission. This candidate will also show a good understanding and ability to lead a team in broader risk management concerns. You should have the ability to develop and enforce policies, manage serious incidents, and communicate effectively across diverse cultural contexts. Experience in international or volunteer-led organisations is desirable, as is the ability to work with volunteers in a multicultural environment.

One-to-one delivery:
• Deliver a wide range of interventions, predominantly one to ones, embedding in a culturally informed and multi-agency approach to domestic abuse in the area.
• Ensure delivery is in accordance with tasks outlined in the RISE Domestic Abuse Perpetrator manual and process mapping.
• Adhere to relevant CIFA and other manuals and deliver programme sessions to ensure the integrity of delivery, which is overseen by the Advanced Practitioner and Team Leader.
Apply specialised materials to support your delivery to racialised and marginalised communities.
• Be responsible and accountable for working with Advanced Practitioner, Domestic Abuse safety advice and line manager to ensure risk is reviewed on a weekly basis.
• Practitioners will comply with the appropriate audit standards when working with perpetrators in line with RESPECT or HMPPS’s requirements.
• Use motivational interviewing techniques and strength-based approaches in building a range of therapeutic skills to engage with service users to address their abusive behaviour.
• Encourage and facilitate learning with participants on 1.-2-1 or group setting, including proactively working to elicit behavioural change and acceptance of their behaviour towards their partner, or ex- partner.
• Work closely with other professionals to ensure appropriate steps are taken to protect where there is an imminent risk to another person. Apply RISE’s escalation procedures.
• Be personally accountable for the completion of assessments, mid-way reports, and End of Intervention reports, and ensure they are to a high standard.
• Provide support and consultancy to other professionals to ensure appropriateness of referrals and improve understanding on domestic abuse.
• Ensure effective planning for the delivery of each intervention with a co-practitioner (if groupwork) in advance of the session.
• Participate in and pass the necessary training to be able to deliver all interventions.
• Assist or lead on the delivery of training courses.

Integrating the Safety Support Service:
• Liaise and engage closely with the Domestic Abuse Safety Advisor to increase the safety of partners, ex-partners and children of the servicer user to manage the risk and develop treatment goals.
• Prior to delivering of Domestic Abuse Interventions, liaise and share information with RISE Domestic Abuse Safety Officers to ensure an integrated and culturally sensitive approach is applied to risk management.
• Attend monthly risk review meetings with Domestic Abuse Safety Advisor and Senior practitioners to ensure effective risk management procedures are always applied.
Recording and administrative tasks:
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all relevant data (attendance, feedback, mid-way and end of intervention reports) using systems provided and in line with performance standards.
• Maintain an accurate audit trail of all relevant communication with partner organisations involved.
• Complete specialist risk and vulnerability assessments, and reports as per templates provided.

About the team
This is an important role based in a busy Operations team which covers office management, information technology, finance and human resources. The team play a key role in supporting the organisation to achieve its mission of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed.

About this role
We are looking for a talented professional with a strong understanding of CRM and digital systems and a passion for maximising the value of data, who is looking to join an organisation where they can put their skills to use across all aspects of our operations. You will join at a key time to develop and embed our work in this area, providing critical support to all our teams as well as maintaining and developing our cross-organisation systems.
You will lead on the development, administration, and staff engagement with, and training on, our Salesforce CRM system. This will include data from, and working with, all departments of Impetus, including our donors and prospects, our collaboration with partner charities, and our communications with email audiences. You will also manage the relationship with our existing Salesforce partner agency, drawing on them for additional support resource and coordinating broader development projects. The successful candidate will have experience developing and drawing value from Salesforce, including both technical development and collaborating closely with teams to drive engagement and best practice.
You will be responsible for our other cross-organisational digital systems, including our office and file storage platforms, data warehouse, visualisation, and ETL tools, website analytics, and Digital Asset Management system, as well as providing support for our Finance and HR systems, including providing training to staff and answering any questions related to these systems. You will collaborate closely with our Communications team, for example around website and social media analytics and reviewing the progress of the social media strategy. From time to time you may also be asked to provide support or advice to our portfolio charities. The role will also be responsible for helping to drive adoption of GenAI across Impetus.

- Own the development and administration of our Salesforce system.

About the role
Following an external and independent gender synthesis review in 2020, Sightsavers’ Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team is commissioning a second synthesis review on gender equality.
The objectives of this exercise are:

To understand what has changed in relation to gender equality in Sightsavers programme planning and implementation since the last gender synthesis in 2020

To identify achievements, challenges and gaps in relation to improving gender equality throughout the project cycle

To explore the link between strategic direction and implementation, and to identify areas that require strengthening

To generate a set of learnings and recommendations that can be applied to our programmatic processes and approaches (design, implementation, SBC, MEL), and further inform our strategic thinking and advocacy plans
The purpose of the review

To assess the progress that Sightsavers has made in gender mainstreaming (in terms of both process and outcomes), following the previous review in 2020. How far have we progressed on the recommendations and what more needs to be done. What progress has been made towards achieving equality or equity for women in our programmes.

To capture and collate operational learning in a form that is useful to Sightsavers, enabling us to review achievements and challenges (i.e. what works, in which contexts and why, and what is inhibiting progress on gender mainstreaming).

To identify discussion points and key learning about the organisation’s strategic approach to gender inclusion to make recommendations, where appropriate, on areas that could be strengthened.
Deliverables

Write a short inception report in English, covering approach, methods and sources to be used (to include an evaluation matrix). This will be finalised after review by Sightsavers.

Final report in English, edited after at least two rounds of comments from Sightsavers internal review team, to include an Executive Summary which can be used as a standalone item.

About you/your team
Sightsavers welcomes proposals from individual consultants or small teams interested in undertaking this synthesis review. The expected skills and experience include:

About the role
The Campaigns Manager will shape and lead our campaigning and communications work, supporting our network of grassroots volunteer campaigners across the country, ensuring that grassroots advocacy is at the heart of what we do. You will be an expert at developing and managing campaigns and communications and supporting volunteer networks, with excellent written English, and proven experience ensuring that written and visual communications and digital outreach contribute to our organisational advocacy work. About the role
The Capacity Development unit seeks a Capacity Development Officer to support the implementation of the Advocacy Institute Regional track.
The NCD Advocacy Institute is a flagship Capacity Development initiative designed to strengthen NCD civil society to ensure a more effective NCD response. It consists of a multi-year partnership with organizations and alliances, supporting and strengthening the growth of NCD civil society across selected geographies. Its Seed track supports the establishment of NCD civil society networks in countries/regions where these are non-existent or young. The Accelerator track works with established NCD alliances to strengthen advocacy efforts where there are windows of opportunity for specific NCD policy change.
The Regional track focuses on strengthening regional NCD civil society in their coalition building and advocacy efforts with a key element of leading mobilisation and accountability efforts ahead of and in follow up to, the 2025 High Level Meeting on NCDs. The track supports regional alliances in Africa, Caribbean, Eastern Mediterranean, Latin America and South East Asia and includes a mix of grant support, tailored technical assistance, access to relevant training opportunities (Seed, Accelerator, different thematic tracks according to the capacity needs and strategic interests of each alliance), networking and knowledge exchange opportunities across other regions. The track also focuses on enhancing the role of regional NCD alliances in the capacity building of national NCD alliances in the region and pays special attending to building close linkages with Our Views Our Voices Initiative. A key element of this track is to build effective connections between national, regional and global advocacy efforts and maximise global and regional advocacy opportunities in the lead up, and in follow up, to the 2025 UN High Level Meeting on NCDs.
The Regional Advocacy track aims to:
·Strengthen the organisational capacity of regional alliances as an enabler for effective advocacy, supporting coalition building, strengthening organisational processes and governance structures;
·Support strategic advocacy and accountability efforts led by regional alliances, strengthening linkages between global, regional and national advocacy levels, maximising global advocacy milestones, particularly the 2025 UN High level Meeting on NCDs;
·Promote and support the role of regional NCD alliances in mobilising NCD civil society and national alliances in the region, and the role of regional NCD alliance in supporting regional networks as such.
The Capacity Development Officer will play a key role in the implementation of the Regional track by supporting coalition-building efforts, strengthening regional advocacy initiatives, and enhancing the capacity of NCD alliances to drive policy change. NCDA seeks applicants with suitable experience and background for a full-time role as Capacity Development Officer. This position reports to the UK-based Capacity Development Manager. This position is possible thanks to NCD Alliance’s partnerships with Bloomberg Philanthropies and is subject to yearly renewal. The role is based in London, UK, and is open to UK citizens and other applicants who already possess a valid work authorisation. NCDA will not sponsor visa applications. The Capacity Development Officer would be mainly home-based/remote with the expectation of working from the London office 1 day a week.
Core responsibilities
•Support the roll out of the Advocacy Institute’s Regional track, by strengthening regional coalition-building and advocacy efforts, enhancing the capacity of regional NCD alliances to drive policy change and accountability.
•Perform grant administration duties, to support the Advocacy Institute and its Regional track, including grantee communications, support grant awards, monitoring and grantee reporting.
•Monitor local conditions and opportunities for the Advocacy Institute participating alliances and collect M&E data regularly to help with programme development and the provision of tailored technical assistance to NCD alliances part of the Advocacy Institute’s Regional track.
•Support the development of research and knowledge products in support of CD work as needed (e.g., civil society mappings, guides, reports, programme documentation, etc.).
•Support the organisation of the Advocacy Institute trainings and live sessions, and other CD events as required, including supporting curriculum development, participant support, administrative functions, and evaluation.
•Provide written content to promote regional and national activity through NCD Alliance communication channels, including social media and website.
•Leverage NCDA expertise providing technical assistance to alliances and facilitating networking opportunities, enable access to NCDA expertise, advocacy advice and support, and access to a broader network of advocates who can provide peer-to-peer support.
•Support broader Advocacy Institute and NCDA webinars and events for regional and national NCD alliances.
•Coordinate regional and national efforts with global advocacy to ensure maximum impact of the Advocacy Institute and broader CD efforts.
On-going activities:
•Ensure an updated record of activities by organisations and NCD alliances supported by the CD projects and initiatives, to inform NCDAs capacity development, advocacy and communication activities.
•Maintain regular communications with regional and national NCD alliances for advocacy and network updates.
•Gather relevant regional information to support the offering of appropriate and relevant technical assistance to NCDA member regional and national NCD alliances.
•Help maintain an updated contacts database of regional and national NCD alliances.
•Help maintain up to date Capacity Development content in the NCDA website.
•Handle administrative responsibilities in support of CD activities as needed.
•Mobilize regional and national NCD alliances in support of global advocacy campaigns.
•Provide support to civil society regional and national meetings as required, including administrative and content development support.
•Support Advocacy Institute webinars for regional and national NCD alliances.
•Look for opportunities to showcase regional and national progress in global events and platforms.
Required experience and skills:
•Advanced university degree in public health, international relations, public policy, or similar, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the non-profit area.
•Demonstrated interest and understanding of global health and development; knowledge of NCDs would be ideal, particularly on aspects related to health policy and/or public health background is preferred.
•International work experience is highly desired, as well as professional knowledge and/or experience of advocacy, policy and/or programmes.
•Excellent organisational and strategic planning skills and ability to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
•Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in an international team environment with solid interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
•Excellent judgment, strategic thinker, initiative taker.
•Excellent analysis, writing and oral communications skills in English – foreign language skills are a plus (Spanish and/or French).
•Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•Availability for international travel (10%; as needed)
