Family Support Coordinator

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to support our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure the families we support have access to the services they need.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for sourcing practical goods and services in the region, applying for grants and benefits, as well as working with other charities or community providers to obtain goods, equipment or funds for families that Rainbow Trust do not provide directly.

Having worked in a stressful or emotionally-demanding environment with an understanding of the complexities of working with children and families, you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and strong networks with other organisation to provide meaningful assistance to the families we support.

· Professional experience of working in an administrative or coordinator role - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have provided services in a health, social care, youth or education setting within a charity environment.

· A friendly and socially-focused approach – you have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and develop effective relationships with a wide range of people, you enjoy helping others.

· Well-organised, with a high level of attention to detail – you work well within established systems, produce high quality work and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial management

● Lead the setting, tracking and reporting of budgets and fundraising targets

● Maintain accurate records of income and expenditure on a cash and accrual basis

● Manage bookkeeping for the charity, including invoicing and bank reconciliations

● Keep accurate records of funding allocations, especially restricted and unrestricted income

● Work with our accountant to produce end-of-year accounts and prepare for audit

● Build strong relationships within The Economist Group finance team to support with financial management and compliance

● Ensure the charity remains tax compliant, including managing quarterly VAT returns and reviewing funding contracts

Operations, people and governance

● Build and maintain operational processes across the organisation which support the successful delivery of our work globally

● Support the team to accurately monitor and evaluate their progress towards targets

● Work with senior leadership and hiring managers to continually improve the recruitment and onboarding process

● Line manage the Programme Officer and support them to deliver programme and admin support

● Work with our company secretary to prepare annual accounts

Data management

● Manage GDPR-compliant data collection and storage, with accurate and up-to-date data to report on key targets

● Manage the presentation of data so that it is clear and accessible

● Build strong relationships across departments in The Economist Group to support with data management and legal contracts

● Work with team members to create and deliver comprehensive data metrics and collection plans and track progress towards KPIs on projects

● Work with our Head of Design and Product to lead on an upcoming digital transformation project including choosing an appropriate Customer Relationship Management system (CRM)

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Trusts Fundraiser to contribute significantly to the development of income generation at Raystede. You will expand our existing programme of Trusts support by creating persuasive applications and undertaking effective research, with the aim of securing funding for a variety of core costs and capital projects.

This is an exciting role as you will help our Funders to engage deeply with our work, and the lives of the animals in our care, as you present tailored cases for support and gratifying evaluations.

An excellent storyteller with a keen eye for detail, you will be able to interpret financial data and funding criteria, as well as strategically plan for existing and future funding needs. You may have experience of Trusts in another fundraising role, or perhaps you’re also an animal-loving fundraiser, or someone who researches, complies and writes reports professionally.

You will also be responsible for setting up a stewardship plan for Trust Supporters and building and maintaining relationships over the phone, through written communications, and on-site or at events. You will be supported in delivering excellent stewardship.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, you will have autonomy to plan your time and manage and grow the Trusts & Foundations pipeline. You will be encouraged to take an innovative approach to stewardship and be supported to continue your professional development.

About Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare

Raystede is a charity that aims to give animals a better life through rehoming, rehabilitation and sanctuary, and give people the support and knowledge they need to treat animals with care and respect. Raystede is Sussex’s biggest animal welfare charity, with nearly 70 years’ experience of caring for and rehoming animals. Uniquely, we care for a huge range of animals - from dogs, cats and donkeys to rabbits, parrots and alpacas. Our experience, expertise and partnerships enable us to deliver an exceptional quality of care for the animals we help. Many of the animals have been neglected, abused or exploited. Raystede helps most of the animals find new homes but also provides life-long sanctuary for elderly horses and other animals that cannot be rehomed. St Peter’s Charity is a small Charity founded in 1861. Once an order of Anglican religious sisters running hospitals, today the Charity runs St Columba’s House Christian retreat and conference centre and a small grant making trust. We are based in Woking, Surrey.

A part time Finance Manager is needed to cover all the finance and accounting functions within the Charity from payroll to producing monthly management accounts and presenting reports at Trustee meetings. This is an exciting opportunity to join Project Indigo, an LGBTQIA+ youth project run out of Off Centre at Family Action that fosters a safe space and sense of community amongst LGBTQIA+ young people in Hackney.  We support young people aged 16 to 25 through offering them a weekly facilitated social space and 1-to-1 support and advice sessions.  Having run for almost a decade, Project Indigo is well known in Hackney, and works alongside local LGBTQIA+ projects, as well as mental health and youth services.  Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to address the barriers they face in accessing sensitive therapeutic support.

We are seeking a motivated and empathetic counsellor/psychotherapist to offer therapeutic support to members of Project Indigo, our LGBTQIA+ youth group.  The counsellor will make a positive impact and expand Project Indigo’s offer to include 1-to-1 counselling, including sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.

Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who registered with a City and Hackney GP.  These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings, targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH), and an Information and Advice provision.

Main Responsibilities:

· You will provide affirmative therapeutic support to our LGBTQIA+ young people who identify under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella or are exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity; including 1-to-1 therapeutic support, sessions up to 24 weeks and therapeutic drop-ins.

· You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing a safe, confidential and affirmative therapeutic space for our members; supporting young people with a range of difficult life and/or mental health issues, which may include bereavement, domestic violence, relationship difficulties, sexual abuse and trauma.

· You will maintain an in-depth knowledge of issues facing young LGBTQIA+ people, in particular trans and gender diverse people, and will have clinical experience working with this group.

· You will maintain an understanding of LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as intersectionality and the multiple oppressions faced by our diverse group members, in particular racialised, neurodivergent and/or trans and non-binary people.

· You will address the diverse needs of our young people by maintaining an intersectional and person-centred approach.

· You are BACP /UKCP (or equivalent) registered with proven experience of working affirmatively with LGBTQIA+ young people in a clinical setting and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of how to support LGBTQIA+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.

Background

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. We have just finalised our new Global Strategy for 2024-30, which will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from leprosy and LF.

Job Context

It is an exciting time to be coming into Lepra as we currently celebrate our organisation’s Centenary year this year. In 2023 we underwent a strategic review and developed our new 6-year global strategy to re-establish our work into the future. We are using our Centenary year in 2024 as a springboard to launch our new strategic period. Our new strategy will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from disability and discrimination.

Our Finance and Operations team plays a critical role in supporting the wider Lepra UK team with our finance and HR function delivering and supporting on all finance management processes and HR related support at all levels.  The Finance and Operations team has experienced staffing changes this year and with some staff looking to work part-time, an assistant position has become available to support both the Finance & Administration Lead and the HR and Executive Support Assistant Manager as well as the need for support with our office move.

Job Purpose

To support the Finance and Operations team which includes the HR function as well as coordinating the upcoming office move and facilities operations.

CDS UK (Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a small psychotherapy clinic, offering assessment and long-term specialist outpatient treatment to people with dissociative disorders. CDS UK is a charity and an approved supplier for the NHS and is subcontracted by NHS CCGs nationally on a per-patient basis, where local mental health services are unable to provide appropriate treatment.

The Role:

This role will support the Head of Finance in all aspects of accounting and financial management responsibilities including bookkeeping, processing and approving supplier invoices, issuing monthly sales invoices, reconciling bank accounts, supporting preparation of managements accounts, budget and year end accounts. The role will also be liaising with the admin team, as well as suppliers and customers.

The Role
