Devon Community Foundation

Who we are

Devon Community Foundation empowers Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations to create positive change in Devon. Our mission is to foster flourishing, equitable communities by inspiring philanthropy and providing grant funding.  

Each year we provide over 300 grants to local organisations, large and small. Since our foundation in 1996 we have given more than £20 million in funding, addressing key issues like mental health, poverty, and climate change. Our vision is to build a philanthropic and grants giving community that can drive a step change in the sustainability and influence of our county’s VCSEs, supporting and pioneering new forms of funding, engaging diverse donors, and collaborating for a sustainable future.  

We focus on health, economic equality, community empowerment, and environmental progress, while shaping philanthropy through valuable insights. Uniting donors and community-led organisations, we drive impactful change, working towards becoming a sustainable and independent grant funding source for the sector in Devon.
