The Role

This role is all about people – connecting with church leaders and other individuals within church communities, sharing your passion for freedom of religion or belief through sermons, presentations and conversations to inspire others to take action. You’ll be a natural networker and someone entrepreneurial who takes initiative and comes up with your own ideas for how best to reach busy church leaders and congregations. You will be self-motivated and able to work collaboratively.

Key responsibilities (full responsibilities listed in the application pack):

• Proactively source speaking engagements in churches across the UK and fulfil these engagements, both by deploying a network of staff and volunteer speakers and by speaking yourself.
• Develop a plan to reach new and lapsed churches for CSW
• Use the CRM, as well as your own connections, to identify key church stakeholders to approach about partnering with CSW
• Build meaningful relationships with new and existing church partners, with the view to supporting churches in learning about justice and religious freedom issues and establishing or renewing support through prayer, campaigning and giving

You will cover West Essex (Harlow, Epping & Uttlesford), playing a pivotal role in supporting unpaid family carers who look after someone due to their age, disability, long-term physical or mental health condition or an addiction. The role of Recovery Support Keyworker involves one-to-one and group support with our residents; encouraging and supporting them in all practical aspects of their recovery including objectives and goals, leave and visit planning, behaviour and health, housing and employment matters. You will be a committed Christian, with excellent inter-personal and the ability to implement firm but caring boundaries, plus good administrative abilities, able to complete care planning and risk assessments. What you will do:

About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy Officer to join our Legacies team. This is the ideal role for someone looking to gain more experience in legacy fundraising, and for someone who wants to make a difference to our communities when time matters most.

You will help deliver the legacy fundraising programme with the aim of securing and retaining legacy pledges, and ultimately growing income from this vital source of support.

A large part of the role will also be focused on the stewardship of existing pledgers, considerers and enquirers.  You will be comfortable engaging with the public, handling enquiries, and keeping our supporters engaged with and updated on our work.

You will also work closely with the Legacy Lead to develop marketing campaigns, legacy materials, and to support other promotional activities and the wider Legacy team

About you:

Empathy and listening skills come naturally to you. You will be pro-active and have good attention to detail, excellent communication skills, as well as some working knowledge of databases.

You may have previous experience working in a fundraising environment, in relationship management/direct marketing or in a customer service related role.
