The role:

This role offers the chance to work with a global NGO, providing valuable experience in tackling key global development challenges, along with hands-on involvement with project and partnership management systems, grant tracking processes, and an opportunity to contribute to the development of impactful programmes. It provides exposure to the operations of an International NGO, invested in community-led holistic solutions to some of the most pressing problems of our times. You would enhance your knowledge and experience of the charity sector funding landscape in the UK and internationally. You would significantly expand your practical knowledge of project delivery and monitoring in diverse areas of international development such as water and sanitation, prevention of violence against women, food security and nutrition, rural livelihoods, biodiversity conservation, and community disaster resilience. You would write about our projects for funding applications and project reports, blog posts, newsletters etc. You would have the chance to network with other NGOs and funders at events and international development conferences. You may have the opportunity to travel to south Asia or Africa for project evaluation or conferences / networking, subject to funding. As you gain experience, there may be scope for you to contribute to project design.

Person specification:

You would  research potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships, including trusts, foundations, corporate groups, and statutory sources. Some charity-sector fundraising experience is desirable.. The ability to draft inspiring narratives for different audiences, as well as creating programme budgets using spreadsheets are crucial aspects to this role.. You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts, campaigns, and the charity’s administrative needs. A basic lf knowledge of video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.

The UK branch of Pragya is a small team; the ideal candidate would be a self-starter, capable of managing their own work load. Development Operations Officer
Duration: Temporary - 4 months

About the Role

About The Mare and Foal Sanctuary

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is the largest equine welfare charity in the South West peninsula dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of horses and ponies who have suffered neglect, abuse and trauma. We also deliver a range of Equine Assisted Services with our rescued horses and ponies. Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. You will play a key role as, together, we provide direct support to children and families, unite services and professionals, campaign to change the system and raise funds to sustain our vital work.

As our Communication Officer, you will:

• source and manage stories and other content from families of seriously ill children

Reporting into the Heads of Finance for both dioceses, you will play a key role in operational cashflow management, financial reconciliations, and process improvement. In this Finance Officer role, you will:

• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations for all diocesan entities, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly recorded.
• Complete quarterly investment reconciliations, updating the investment register and processing revaluations as needed.
• Manage the school’s ledger, overseeing payments, fund transfers, and project accounting reconciliations.
• Collect the Common Mission Fund via direct debit, reconcile payments weekly, report figures to the National Church, and support monthly reporting.
• Assist with year-end preparations, ensuring timely and accurate statutory accounts and audit support for all entities.
• Monitor daily cash flow across diocesan entities, transferring funds as needed and overseeing Barclaycard and NatWest credit card accounts.
• Act as system administrator for accounting and banking platforms, supporting users, resolving queries, and assisting the finance team.

The Production Officer will play a crucial role in managing workflow into the Creative, Digital and Comms teams, and coordinating creative projects.

They will be the ultimate super user of our production management tool, Hive. They will set up projects on the system, ensure the smooth running of the system day-to-day, and help trouble shoot any issues that arise. The role will also help ensure that users internally are trained and confident in using the platform.

The Production Officer will also coordinate creative projects, to ensure they are delivered smoothly and on time, as well as supporting with the management of our content and photography library.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Support with the day-to-day management of the production tool, Hive. This will include setting up projects, ensuring teams are assigned, keeping the platform up-to-date, and carrying out other administrative tasks crucial for the smooth running of Hive.

· Liaise with Hive to troubleshoot any issues and stay up to date with new features on the platform.

· Be a Hive super champion across the organisation, delivering Hive inductions for new starters.

· Build and maintain strong relationships across the organisation, supporting teams to brief in work to Brand, Comms and Digital.

· Support the Creative team with the production of projects, including setting timelines, managing workflow and coordinating sign-off.

· Supporting with the management of the content and photography library, ensuring that photographs are correctly uploaded and tagged, with correct consent and removed from the system on the expiry date.

· Carry out additional directorate-wide responsibilities to support the smooth running of the directorate, for example, support with workshops and planning days.

What we are looking for:

· Experience of using a production management tool in a creative or communications environment.

· Excellent experience of coordinating projects, including managing and briefing meetings, setting timelines, and coordinating sign-off.

As Income Officer, you'll play an important part in ensuring all income is accurately processed and allocated, while maintaining high standards of supporter care.

• Process income from various channels using the Raiser's Edge database, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Allocate restricted income in line with supporter requests
• Build and maintain positive relationships with supporters to understand their giving intentions
• Respond to telephone, email and written queries, including complex cases, with professionalism and care
