Causeway Education is a charity supporting young people to overcome barriers in accessing Higher Education and apprenticeships. Overview

Main duties

Programme Support 

• Provide support across Causeway's broad portfolio of programmes, such as online mentoring, insight days, work experience weeks and university and employer outreach schemes

• Organise programme-related events, such as workshops/webinars 

• Deliver online and in-person workshops to students and stakeholders, alongside other members of the Programmes Team

• Look after our shared inboxes and share queries with relevant team members 

• Support the collection of information as part of programme reporting requirements

• Support in the design and creation of new programme resources

• Support other team members with management of external communications including the Causeway website, Twitter account and newsletters 

• Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement with Causeway’s programmes (for example, student 1-1 calls and emails)

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. Job Purpose 
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow. It is anticipated that this time will be flexible and adjusted according to the needs and priorities at the time. Specifically the role with include: 

IT administration

• Administration of IT systems, logins and spreadsheets for the team, volunteers, staff and freelancers (keeping these up to date and amending systems as required).
• Ordering and setting up IT hardware and software for individuals joining the team.
• Oversight of IT systems used by Growing Hope including ticket tailor, jot form, mail chimp, Microsoft office, google adverts and tracking. Supporting with problem solving when issues arise. 
• Overseeing and training others in Canopy (clinic administration software) and helping support and problem solve with using this. This includes liaising with a freelance software developer to manage the development project.

HR administration

• Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
• Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity. 
• Writing, drafting and sending out HR letters, contracts and contract variations. 
• Organising internal events on behalf of the team including away days, training days and ad hoc events. 
• Organising online training as required for members of the Growing Hope team.

Office Support

• Overseeing the day to day office and building use including the alarm, maintenance visits, wifi, printer and other equipment. This includes liaising with other individuals who have office use.
• Liaising with the Director of Operations around the use of the office.
• Ordering office supplies as required, ensuring office space and storage is kept organised. 
• Supporting with external events planning including finding venues, sponsorship and items needed.
• Ordering equipment as required across the team.
• Ad hoc tasks as required across the team. 

Volunteer admin support

• Processing volunteer applications and induction as required. 
• Oversight of volunteers using the office space on a day to day basis. Including allocating volunteer tasks and explaining and supporting with these as required. 
• Managing volunteer IT access. 

General 

• Sending letters and emails and making phone calls as required.
• Logging all actions on Salesforce database.
• Maintain data protection & confidentiality in line with Growing Hope’s policy.
• Ensure adherence to Safeguarding and wider Growing Hope policies.
• Actively contributing to staff prayer meetings and upholding Growing Hope’s Christian values.

Person Specification 
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in the charity sector, an interest in additional needs and inclusion are highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL

• This role has an Occupational Requirement to be a Christian, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.  Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work with Microsoft word, excel, outlook and ppt efficiently and effectively.

Position Overview

The Programme Officer will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Fobzu's advocacy and awareness, and building UK-Palestine higher education links programmes. This role involves working closely with the director, partners, managing projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives aimed at mobilising support for Palestinian universities and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advocacy and Awareness Programme

• Assist in organising webinars and in-person events.

• Help in the delivery of workshops to educate stakeholders about the challenges and opportunities within Palestinian higher education.

We are recruiting for an experienced Operations Officer to support the HR and Operations team to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of our core operations functions with a strategic focus on accessibility and user experience in a neurodiverse organisation. 

The Operations Officer plays a key role in the delivery of infrastructure projects and provide essential support to the effective day-to-day running of the charity and works closely with all core teams, ensuring processes operating effectively to allow CASPA to grow and adapt to the needs of our members and staff. 

The ideal candidate is a resilient, solution-focused person, able to work efficiently on their own initiative and collaboratively within a team.

Prospectus are delighted to be supporting a community foundation based in Surrey with the recruitment of a new Grants Officer role. The foundation brings together local donors with voluntary organisations addressing the challenges within the local community.
 
This role is on a 12 month contract and available on a full-time (37 hours) or part-time basis, 3 days a week (21 hours per week). This role is hybrid, with travel to the office based in Woking, 1 day a week. The salary range for this role is £23,000-£26,000.
 
The Grants Officer will report to the Grants Manager and provide support to the wider Grants Team. You will play a key role in supporting the Foundation to deliver an efficient and effective grants programme. You will have the opportunity to support with grant assessments, including due diligence reviews and funding recommendations to meet the grant programme criteria and assess the impact of the grants awarded.
 
You will also provide front-line contact, outreach and capacity building support to assist voluntary and community groups to apply for funding for various funding programmes. You will also help the team to plan and implement a new Customer Relationship Management system.

To be considered for this role, you will have demonstrable experience of working in an office and using Microsoft Office softwares. You will have knowledge/experience of using CRM databases. You will have strong organisational skills and be able to manage your time wisely.  
 
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will enjoy working as a part of a small team and be able to work on your own initiative. You will also have a strong attention to detail.
 
Desirably, you will have experience working in the not-for-profit sector and reviewing grants applications and working on grants programmes.

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS HOME BASED BUT REQUIRES THE POST HOLDER TO ATTEND REGULAR MEETINGS AND EVENTS IN PERSON, IN LONDON. 

The role will involve developing and nurturing relationships with those who own, manage, design or have an interest in green infrastructure by proactively facilitating our networks and supporter activities to engender more effective and collaborative working, knowledge sharing, and connection.

This is a great role for someone who is excited by working with senior stakeholders across London who play an active role in maintaining and enhancing London’s green spaces.

The successful candidate will be a confident ambassador for the charity, and capable of building long term partnerships. The post holder will need to use their initiative, creativity and proven partnership building skills to enable the charity to expand and maximise the impact of its existing networks, support internal and external development, and plan and coordinate supporter-focused activities.

As part of a small charity, the successful candidate will need to be a team player, ready and willing to respond and adapt to opportunities and challenges, working closely with the rest of the Parks for London team and trustees.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver and enhance our network and engagement programme to support green space owners and managers
• Support and coordinate the administration and delivery of a range of virtual and in-person network meetings and events
• Identify and develop relationships with potential new supporters 
• Support the identification, and engagement of new audiences who could benefit from our work
• Identify and develop relationships with potential collaborators with whom we can work in partnership with, to maximise our capacity and expand our reach
• Support the sustainability of the charity by driving and maximising existing income streams as well as identifying and delivering new opportunities for income generation
• Represent Parks for London at events and wider engagement opportunities, and promote the interests of the charity, our services, and our supporters
• Keep abreast of local, regional, national and international funding opportunities to identify opportunities for both the charity and those in our networks
• Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Parks for London and our services
• Play an active role in strategic reviews, business planning, and contribute to the wider thinking and planning of the charity
• Carry out other duties and activities as agreed with the Executive Director

About the Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP)

The Brent Centre for Young People is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 700 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, tackling self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. We aim to reach significantly more young people in the years ahead, drawing on our heritage that combines specialist treatment in-house and outreach into communities. The Brent Centre is also an important Research Centre on Adolescent Breakdown and Adolescent Psychotherapy.

Fundraising at BCYP

BCYP has historically been very successful in raising funds from non-statutory sources, particularly trusts and foundations, and is grateful to hold a number of established relationships with grant- makers. We work hard to ensure that we submit excellent, data-driven applications and evaluations. Until now, applications have largely been submitted by our Fundraising Manager- Trusts & Foundations, with occasional support from a freelance bid-writer. We now want to recruit a new member of the team, to help us to grow our income stream in this area and help us to steward these key relationships.

In this exciting newly created role, you will be responsible for helping to grow our income from grant- makers to design and promote funding opportunities, and to steward relationships with supporters through the giving cycle. We are looking for a fundraiser with at least three to four years of experience in identifying prospects and grant-writing, and who has experienced success in securing funds. Vitally, we want to recruit an individual who is as committed to Brent’s vision, and who will work with us to help us be there for young people in the coming years.
