About the Role

We are now recruiting for two Case Workers who will each manage and support a caseload of Black and minoritised migrant women with multiple and complex needs in contact with the criminal justice system and under immigration restrictions, providing holistic, long-term support and advocacy to empower women to rebuild their lives.

This role will support women, including young women, being released from prison to the London area, encompassing support for those on probation, ‘through-the-gate service’ users, un-sentenced women in custody and women in contact with the criminal justice system in London. The post holder will proactively develop partnerships, acting as the main point of contact for referrals in prisons, detention centres and with probation staff to identify Black and minoritised migrant women who are eligible for our services and support.

These roles will involve managing and supporting a caseload of 25-30 women at any one time, working collaboratively with each service user to develop an individual support plan with achievable and realistic goals, and supporting her to work towards them. It will include supporting women to participate in education, training, providing outreach support, and ensuring the women they work with have a clear understanding of their rights and obligations by providing up to date information on housing, health and welfare benefits. The post holders will be responsible for maintaining detailed case notes, goals, activities, participants’ attendance for funding and monitoring purposes.

The post holders will also be expected to effectively manage safeguarding issues and concerns, ensuring they are appropriately documented and referred. The successful candidates will also provide cover and support for our Women’s Centre and workshops

About you

We are particularly keen to attract talent from Black and minoritised communities and those with lived experience of immigration and the criminal justice systems, and/or violence against women and girls.

The successful candidate will have significant experience of working directly with Black and minoritised women, including young women under 30, affected by the criminal justice system, the immigration system, and/or violence against women and girls. You will have a good understanding of the specific intersectional issues faced by Black and minoritised migrant women in the criminal justice system and on release.

You will have demonstrable experience of delivering individual support, wellbeing, advocacy and empowerment interventions to women with complex needs, practicing a trauma-informed, women-responsive approach in your casework provision. You will be confident in providing information and advice on a range of matters including immigration, welfare, education, training and employment, providing advice in line with IAA (previously OISC) accreditations.

You will have a solid understanding of safeguarding needs, identifying and managing concerns and risks and adhering to internal policies and procedures. This will require an ability to maintain clear boundaries, maintain high levels of confidentiality and demonstrate a proactive approach to working.

You will also have an understanding of one of more of Hibiscus’ key work areas – criminal justice, immigration and migrants’ rights, racial justice, and/or violence against women and girls and gender justice.

This role will focus on managing and growing our network of volunteers while also strengthening relationships with the community through outreach initiatives.You will play a key role in recruiting, supporting, and retaining volunteers for our hub and community programmes, as well as leading fundraising initiatives to engage schools, businesses, and individuals.

About Sebby’s Corner

Sebby's Corner is based in Barnet, EN5 and our aim is to ensure that no child goes without the basic essentials they need to thrive. We supply items such as clothing, nappies, formula and baby equipment to local families living in poverty. Families in need get referred to us by social workers, health visitors, family support workers, midwives and other professionals. We work with almost 800 different referral partners across 400 different organisations.

We also offer school uniform support and we have a Birthday Club that ensures that a child who would otherwise go without has a gift, cake, balloons and decorations to celebrate their special day. At Christmas, we host a Grotto where parents can come and choose a gift for their child at no cost. We have a new partnership with Citizen’s Advice Barnet that allows families to book an appointment with an advisor at our hub.

In addition to our baby bank services, we work to engage and inspire the community through fundraising, volunteering opportunities, and outreach programmes. Key Tasks and Accountabilities

Volunteer Management

• Oversee the day-to-day management of volunteers, ensuring tasks are clearly defined and their time is used productively.
• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies to attract new volunteers and new hub leaders including targeted campaigns and partnerships with local schools and community organisations.
• Create and maintain a volunteer database, tracking availability, skills, and engagement.
• Deliver volunteer induction sessions and ongoing training as needed.
• Build a welcoming and inclusive volunteer culture, ensuring volunteers feel valued and motivated.

Community Outreach

• Represent Sebby’s Corner by speaking at schools, community groups, and local businesses to promote our mission and encourage support.
• Develop and deliver outreach programmes to inspire community involvement, such as fundraising initiatives and challenge events.
• Act as a key contact for schools, organising donation drives and volunteer days.
• Recruit participants for fundraising activities such as marathons, walks, or bake sales.
• Send thank-you letters and certificates to fundraisers and donors, recognising their contributions.

Event Planning and Support

• Assist in planning and running Sebby’s Corner events, including seasonal fundraisers and awareness campaigns.
• Support the organisation and delivery of volunteer and community recognition events.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate records of volunteer hours, community partnerships, and event outcomes.
• Develop reports and insights on volunteer and outreach activity to inform future strategy.
• Support the team with general administrative tasks related to volunteers and community outreach.

About your skills and experience

Essential

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience managing and recruiting volunteers.
• Ability to organise and prioritise multiple tasks effectively.
• Comfortable speaking to groups and delivering presentations.
• Strong relationship-building skills and a passion for community engagement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word). 

Desirable

• Experience working in the charity sector.

What we can offer

Salary and pension

The salary for this role is £28,500 annum FTE (this will be pro-rated to reflect your working hours if you work less than 35 hours per week and is subject to normal deductions). If eligible to join the pension, we will match your contributions by 5%.

Annual leave

You will be entitled to 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays (these will be pro-rated to reflect your working hours if you work less than 35 hours per week). We usually give the team time off between Christmas and New Year that doesn’t come off your allowance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join our growing team, developing new services and support for our carers in Kent. Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. About the project 

The proposed service Kineara aims to provide is a Community-Based Housing Advice and Support Service for lone parents living in TA (Temporary Accommodation) and to provide a prevented service that advice and support lone parents living in PRS and social rented accommodation, where their tenancies is insecure.

This service will address urgent housing concerns, provide essential advice, and offer tailored, intensive support for those with complex needs. The project will focus on delivering maximum reach through our outreach while maintaining smaller 1:1 caseload for high-needs cases.

About the role 

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate community -based housing advice and support worker. This role involves conducting community drop- in surgeries which will be delivered across Lambeth Schools, Children’s Centres, Community Groups, GP practices and

Housing Advice Surgeries offering face-to-face housing advice, legal support (where necessary), and signposting to additional service.

You will have experience of working with families and individuals with complex needs. You will be an enthusiastic person who has empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to working with clients and who thrives when working independently with a passion to support change. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of housing policies and tenants' rights, experience of delivering holistic support, be a solution-minded thinker, have a good understanding of strength-based approaches and be able work committing to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work. To work as part of a team and independently, the roles require you to think creatively and use the resources around you effectively. 

Strong partnerships will be essential to the project’s success. Building on relationships developed through the Homeward consortium, you will work closely with local schools, Lambeth Council, children’s centres, community organisations, and legal advisors to ensure meaningful signposting and wraparound support for families.

The successful candidate will work with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. In this role, you will be working in partnership with community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to address their housing issues. Harrogate Homeless Project is seeking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join the Client Services Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team and to have the opportunity to make a real difference to our work.

The post holder will be responsible for leading and managing the support worker team in achieving HPP objectives; including ensuring the smooth day-to-day administration of our hostel, flats and Springboard meeting our clients’ personal, social, learning, work and housing needs.
