This role
As Smart Works moves into our next strategy phase, we are looking to strengthen our commitment to being led by data and using technology to enhance the service we provide. The Database Manager will play a key role in guiding this mission.
Smart Works is looking for an experienced and motivated database manager passionate about using data for good. This role will be crucial in managing and developing Smart Works' CRM systems that underpin the running of our key functions, ensuring data integrity, providing support to all users across the UK and enabling strong outcomes for the women we support. The post holder’s work will be essential in allowing staff across the charity to use data to improve our operations and outcomes for the women we support as we enter our new strategy cycle.
You will also play an important role in training and supporting staff across all Smart Works locations to use these systems, enabling them to harness the power of data in their day-to-day work. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff will be vital to the success of this role.
The role will be a hybrid position, based out of one our UK Smart Works centres. but the role will work across Smart Works, providing support and maintaining digital infrastructure across all the teams.
There may be occasional evening and weekend work as the successful candidate will be part of the wider centre team, supporting with networking and key events support. The post holder, if not based in London, will also be required to travel into London on occasion for training and team meetings.

The Yehudi Menuhin School based in Stoke D’Abernon, Cobham is seeking an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to have a significant impact on the lives of our current and future pupils. The Yehudi Menuhin School operates a needs-blind admissions process, and we remain determined that no pupil should ever turn down a place at YMS due to a lack of funding. More than 90% of pupils need help to take up their place, and grants from trusts and foundations are a vital source of income for our Bursary Fund, as well as a range of other projects and activities that are of direct benefit to our pupils.
You will join the Development team at an exciting time for the School. Under new leadership and with pupil numbers at an all-time high, fundraising continues to play a crucial role in securing the future of musical education and helping to develop the next generation of classical musicians. Our strategy is focused on reaching out to new donors, as well as continuing to engage our loyal body of current supporters, including several engaged grant-making trusts and foundations.
You will build on an existing portfolio of organisations that donate between four and six-figures. Your ability to develop significant, multi-year relationships with new trusts and foundations will be critical to your success. The School has also previously secured a grant from the DCMS Culture Recovery Fund, managed by the Arts Council, opening the door to possible future funding from statutory sources, which would also fall under your responsibility. This is a key role in making The Yehudi Menuhin School’s strategic priorities a reality on the ground. Your Role

Once young people are hired, CDMs use their established relationship to provide pastoral care and in-work support.

AKF(UK) Senior Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European, Asian and North American government and foundation donors to mobilise resources for ten multi-sector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. In addition, Senior Partnership Managers are responsible for reporting and donor relations on a portfolio of select grants implementing across AKDN themes and geographies in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners. This role will also include line management responsibilities.
Resource Mobilisation
• Support the Partnerships team to broker and cultivate new relationships and strengthen existing ones with institutional (bilateral and multilateral) and foundations donors
• Lead the development and review of concept notes and proposals (solicited and unsolicited), including logical frameworks and budgets, in close coordination with the Global Programme Team (GPT) and country teams.
• Develop and contribute to positioning pieces and communication materials (e.g. presentations, narrative overviews) to enable regular and effective engagement with donors
• When needed, provide direct hands-on support at country level in design of concept notes, proposals, and budgets and conduct donor or field visits to support discussions with new and existing donors/partners.
• Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way.
• Contribute to management systems, such as the Award Information Management System (AIMS).
Donor engagement and positioning
• Research, source relevant information, and perform analysis of market trends on new donors, peer organisations, and funding opportunities to identify potential funding and partnering matches for AKF and AKDN priorities.
• Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams to enable effective donor engagement.
• Engage with new and existing donors and partners to identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities.
• Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests).
• Identify, cultivate, and pre-position with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids.
• Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.
Grants management
• Manage grants through regular coordination with relevant AKDN agencies/country units and the finance department to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on-budget. Proactively support the resolution of challenges as they arise.
• Support the preparation, review and feedback process on donor reports to ensure reports comply with donor requirements and are produced on time and to a high standard.
• Be an interface with donors and communicate on a regular basis about the implementation of on-going grants to maintain a solid relationship and to address queries or challenges effectively.
Networking and building public awareness
• Participate and actively engage in relevant networking events/conferences to build awareness of AKF/AKDN with the UK and European public more broadly.
• Interface with the Communications team to identify opportunities and support the planning of events either directly targeting or planned jointly with AKF’s institutional donors (e.g., FCDO, EC).
Leadership and People Management
• Play a leadership role in the unit by setting the example of consistently high standards
• Work with the Partnerships Officers to effectively manage grants and to develop and improve quality of concept notes and proposals
• Filter the team and unit's documents ensuring improvements in standards of writing, presentation, content and context.

Qualifications
• Master’s degree in a relevant field highly preferable

Position
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Senior Regional Engagement Manager to lead our dynamic UK field force, offering clear and supportive management to ensure high performance, and supporting our growth efforts in existing and new global markets.
As an integral part of IChemE’s management team, the role holder will represent the organisation’s key field force, supporting and driving operations through frequent liaison with other IChemE management, functional teams, member groups and committees. The role
The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.
FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The coalition
Send My Friend to School is a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.
It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all children across the globe. Each year thousands of schools and young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices in chorus with others across the globe to create positive change.
Send My Friend to School is the UK coalition of the Global Campaign for Education movement which is present in over 90 countries around the world.
Location
This role will be employed by Send My Friend to School Steering Group member Results UK, on behalf of the Send My Friend to School coalition, and will be based in Results UK’s office near Waterloo. Hybrid working is in place whereby staff are required to work from the office at least 2 days a week.
Terms & Conditions
This is a full time (35 hours per week), permanent post, with a 3 month probation period. Street Child, one of the world’s fastest-growing international children’s charities, are searching for an impressive and experienced corporate partnerships, new business minded professional to play a key role in continuing the organisation's extraordinary growth - from a start-up, aiming to support 100 children into school in Sierra Leone under 15-years ago, to our current status operating in 20+ countries and having recently reached over one million children since our inception.
Corporate Partnerships constitutes a key strategic growth area and income stream for Street Child, especially of unrestricted/flexible funds - and is one we are committed to significantly developing as a key pilar of our plans for continued growth. Live major partners include the likes of Liberty Global plc, UBS, Accenture, Infosys and Boodles the jewellers - as well as 70+ other firms, supporting at different levels, ranging from niche outfits to household brands. For the past few years Street Child, in collaboration with corporate partners, has hosted events at Davos, the UN General Assembly, and at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona - exciting initiatives that provided fantastic platforms, that we are keen to build on, with the support of this role.

The role:
We believe Street Child has a huge opportunity to achieve even more growth in the Corporate Partnerships sector by diversifying our coverage and relationships into new industries and growth markets. The New Business Manager role will play a key role in leading our New Business activity outside of our existing portfolio. Reporting to our recently appointed Senior Manager for Partnership and New Business, your role will involve:
1. Core New Business activity: Researching and development of prospect lists for priority industries to implement New Business campaigns capable of securing multi-year high value partnerships. Responsibility for building Street Child’s network of corporate relationships and growing pipeline of corporate partnership opportunities.
2. Partnership and proposition development: Working closely with our colleagues in the Corporate Partnerships and Global Programme Funding teams to develop engaging and impactful partnership plans and project propositions, focusing on priority countries and programmes to support Street Child’s strategy and mission.
3. Corporate engagement with events: Utilising the portfolio of events Street Child has across the year to engage and steward corporate relationships, including Street Child owned events and external events including the World Economic Forum and UN General Assembly.
4. Supporting on cross-organisational fundraising activations: Leading on new corporate engagement activities, including new fundraising and sponsorship activations, to support cross-organisational initiatives including our Spring Gala, annual Back to School Campaign and other key milestones throughout the year.
Key activities in this role:
- Development of New Business engagement plans – identifying, researching, engaging and cultivating new corporate prospects and relationships;
- Implementing ambitious New Business campaigns to target priority industries, including the oversight of prospecting and marketing mapping activity;
- Management of new business pipeline and prospect lists, including use and maintenance of corporate prospects data on CRM;
- Close collaboration with Partnership Development and Account Management teams to promote best practice corporate donor stewardship and partnership delivery;
- Active networking and attending various international events to maximise New Business opportunities;
- Consistent, proactive New Business activity via Street Child networks and cold approaches;
- Searching for suitable open corporate partnership opportunities/calls to apply to and working with colleagues to submit high quality applications;
- Supporting our corporate advocacy events, including inviting new corporate attendees for Street Child events - and working with colleagues to help plan/strategise Street Child presence as appropriate (including Davos, UNGA);
- Working with colleagues to develop our corporate propositions – both fundraising products and exciting, innovative new project proposals alongside our Programme Funding teams.
Key qualities:

- New Business mentality but with a highly strategic mind and passion for creating genuine value-exchange partnerships between the NGO and private sector;

- Strong corporate fundraising and/or corporate background (preferably in sales/marketing);
- This is an exciting role in a small team with hugely ambitious and exciting global growth plans in the coming years. This role will be at the heart of our rapidly growing organisation making a great difference to the lives of children living in the world’s lowest resource and most dangerous humanitarian contexts. You will have huge support - but also a lot of scope to make the role your own and choose your path to impact. The opportunity here for impact, and career progression, is vast.
We will consider candidates with two types of backgrounds:
1. Proven superb, corporate fundraising track-records, ideally in the international development/humanitarian sector (or otherwise demonstrating strong development/humanitarian knowledge and clear passion for the sector); &/or
2. A compelling, commercial background - coupled with a super clear desire to use your skills and experience in the humanitarian/development space, and the ability to rapidly build relevant technical skills and knowledge.
A prior background in international development/humanitarian is preferred but is not essential. A strong commitment to Street Child's cause is essential.
The role is envisaged as UK-based but is global in scope. A willingness to travel is expected. The ideal candidate would work full-time; and physically in our City of London office for a minimum 3 days of the week – with some flexibility considered for outstanding candidates.
