This role is based in the Warrington Office, UK. You will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 3 days per week with the option to work remotely for the remaining 2 days per week.
We are recruiting to 2 roles; one full-time (5 days per week) and one part-time (4 days per week). Both are fixed term for 6 months or until the end of September, whichever comes first. Please specify in your application how many hours you are applying for.

About the role
Our team is in the unique position of being the first point of contact for the majority of current and potential supporters, both individuals and church representatives. We gain a very broad view of the work of Christian aid, both in the UK to generate support, and overseas to see the impact of that support.

We are recruiting for a Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes.
The post holder will provide line management and high-quality support to the direct reports in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors.
Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting. In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors. You will have knowledge of relevant Criminal and Civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

To be successful as the Young Persons Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
The post holder will have proven experience of working with children and young people and may have a background in youth work. They will have an excellent understanding of violence against women and girls, risk management and of best practice within the young people’s sector. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.
Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 138 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and other accessible activities for all members of the community.
T&T carries out a wide range of activities and events, but we need support and growing our voice. We have made some big changes in our ways of working since Covid, shifting and responding to community need and sector landscape. We intend to keep working flexibly to deliver the most impactful work possible and build our reach across social media, digital newsletters, website updates, while maintaining traditional communication like community noticeboards. About you

About Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone
Blackburn & Darwen Youth Zone, opened in May 2012 as an independent Charity, but we are proud to be part of the growing OnSide Network.
We work with young people aged 5-19 (up to 25 with additional needs) and offer youth work, health and wellbeing and employability services, giving young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. Whilst our building and activities provide a hook for young people to initially engage with us, the relationships they develop with our team of Youth Workers ensures they return night after night. We pride ourselves as being one of the leading youth organisations in Blackburn and Darwen.
Our service to young people is focussed around a state-of-the-art, multi million pound facility that is purpose-built and remains dedicated to young people. This facility has recently undergone a 3 million pound transformation thanks to the Youth Investment Fund. This funding has allowed us to redevelop our Blackburn site to be able to offer a wider range of services for young people whilst celebrating the history of the building. Our newly developed Fusebox is the site where electricity was first generated in Blackburn. Alongside our history we also have a football pitch on our roof, this is one of Blackburn’s best kept secrets!
Our services for young people are needed more than ever and despite the prevalent challenges around the lasting impact of the pandemic, young people feeling isolated and the cost of living crisis, our team continues to provide a home from home for young people.
The Role
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, our Chief Operating Officer will work closely with the CEO and senior managers to ensure the Charity delivers its vision and strategic objectives.
You will drive the development and execution of the Youth Zone’s operational plans and delivery of the annual business plan. You will do this by supporting, leading and motivating the senior management team, taking responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of internal operations of the Youth Zone, including the back office, administrative functions and the offer to young people. The Chief Operating Officer will deputise for the Chief Executive by engaging with a wider set of external stakeholders, collaborators and partners.

- To contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to the development and delivery of the Charity’s vision, values and organisational purpose
- Provide strategic leadership and management of every aspect of the Youth Zone’s day to day operations (covering both front-line delivery and back office) in line with the direction of the CEO, Youth Zone’s strategic goals, and requirements of the Board of Trustees

- Lead on workforce supervision, appraisals and development planning across the whole organisation
- Support the CEO to develop the risk register for the Charity so trustees can easily identify major issues and ensure effective mitigation procedures are in place and regularly reviewed
- Work closely with the SLT to ensure the Charity is fully compliant with all relevant reporting requirements and ensure necessary processes and procedures are in place, including:
- Compliance with funding and contractual requirements
- Compliance with reporting requirements to Board of Trustees

- Be responsible for the line management of our Head of Youth Work, Head of Programmes, Head of Targeted Service.

About the role
The Data Team Manager will be responsible for ensuring high quality data collection, reporting, quality assurance, analysis, and maintenance of Drive programme data, including data collected via the projects Case Management Systems. They will be responsible for excellent internal and external relationship management, supporting the delivery of high-quality data and information. They will manage delivery of programme design, delivery, interpretation and training on datasets and associated analytical techniques.
The post holder will deputise for the Head of team, where appropriate, attending meetings and liaising as required with external partners, stakeholders, and front-line services. Passion for nature conservation is essential, as well as a desire to engage with the many natural history specialists who contribute data to the NBN Atlas. We’re looking for an ambitious individual with an agile, entrepreneurial mind-set, who can drive income generation and growth.
The ideal candidate understands what an excellent data platform looks like and how to continually evolve this to keep up with trends and developments. Attention to detail and ability to horizon-scan is key in overseeing the Trust’s projects and key work streams and ensuring good governance. The NBN Trust is a small team, with a big responsibility, undergoing a period of change, and your role will be to steer the staff through this change and deliver the NBN Trust’s strategy.

With a history of 138 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and other accessible activities for all members of the community.
T&T carries out a wide range of activities and events, but we need support and growing our voice. We have made some big changes in our ways of working since Covid, shifting and responding to community need and sector landscape.
