As our new Relationship Fundraising Manager, you will lead our fundraising efforts by cultivating relationships with corporate partners, donors, and the wider community. About Us
The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the UK’s only charity focused on aplastic anaemia and related rare bone marrow disorders. Aplastic anaemia is a rare, serious blood disorder where the bone marrow fails to produce enough blood cells. This can lead to fatigue, infections, and excessive bleeding, requiring urgent medical treatment. Our mission is to enable life-saving research, provide expert support, and build community networks for those affected. We are small but ambitious, working closely with clinicians, researchers, and patients to ensure people can live fulfilling lives despite their condition.
The Role
As CEO, you will lead our dedicated team, oversee the delivery of our strategic goals, and act as the public face of the charity. You will work directly with the Board of Trustees, the clinical community, and key partners to shape the future of the AAT. From leading high-level strategy to engaging with our warm and passionate patient community, this role offers both challenge and reward.

• Role: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of The Aplastic Anaemia Trust
• Salary: £65,000 per annum
• Contract: permanent, full time
• Location: Remote (UK-based)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and delivery of AAT’s strategic plan and business objectives.
• Foster relationships with clinicians, researchers, donors, volunteers, and beneficiaries.
• Serve as an ambassador for AAT, representing the charity across healthcare, research, and fundraising sectors.
• Provide leadership to a small but expert remote-working team, ensuring effective collaboration and empowerment.
• Drive sustainable growth and innovation, ensuring financial health and strategic impact.
About You
We are looking for someone with strong leadership experience, ideally from the charity, health, or social care sectors, but most importantly, a passion for our mission. You will have:
• A proven track record in leadership and strategy development.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
• Experience in fundraising, organisational growth, and stakeholder management.
• An understanding of or lived experience with serious or rare diseases is a bonus, but not essential.

Time commitment: 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.
Remuneration: monthly rate based on skills and experience.

As Philanthropy Officer, you will join a passionate and collaborative Fundraising Team, working closely with the Head of Corporate, Philanthropy & Events and other CBUK departments. With support, you will take personal ownership of a portfolio of high-value donors and prospects, contributing to the charity’s Major Donor strategy. You’ll be part of a supportive team that fosters creativity and teamwork, working together to secure essential funding that directly impacts the lives of bereaved families across the UK.
We are seeking someone creative and analytical who has strong research, administration, relationship management and database skills, and who can provide excellent donor stewardship.
As Philanthropy Officer, you will:
- Identify and research new potential major donors supporting a team income target c.£1.5m
- Manage a portfolio of major donor relationships at 4-5 figure level
- Develop donor cultivation and stewardship plans
- Implement a patron and celebrity stewardship plan

The Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) has an international award-winning reputation in heritage conservation and regeneration for its own estate. For this reason CCT has been contracted to deliver a programme of work for Historic Chapels Trust (HCT). HCT owns and cares for 20 of the most significant Nonconformist and Catholic chapels no longer in regular use by their congregations, all listed at Grade I and Grade II*. Key to the project is management of the assets, funded by the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF) through their Cultural Assets Fund (CAF).
As a member of CCT’s national Conservation team you will be the main point of contact for all chapel maintenance related issues, liaising closely with contractors, local groups and volunteers. Alongside the Conservation Projects Manager for Chapels you will deliver the maintenance programme, including regulatory and legal compliance, as well as deal with utilities and insurance of chapels. 10 of the chapels are in our North region, 6 in our West region and 4 are in our South East region.
You will have previous experience in the field of historic buildings maintenance, repair or property management. You will be an effective communicator, be able to plan and deliver your own workload and also work as part of a team. As you’ll be working at chapels throughout England it is essential you have a full driving licence.
