In this role you will have a mixed portfolio of high value trusts, grantmakers and major donors, to support the implementation of the Philanthropy strategy to reach new audiences and increase sustainable income growth. You will contribute to our capital fundraising campaigns and the development of special projects under our fundraising pillars: Magic, Equipment, Campus and Community, Research, Innovation and Education, and Advocacy.
You will also manage a wide variety of internal stakeholder relationships with senior colleagues in Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
Key Responsibilities will include:

Manage a diverse portfolio of existing and new major donors and funders, delivering excellence in relationship management to meet an individual fundraising target.

Build, manage and maintain a full and consistent pipeline of prospects, ensuring timely progression through each stage from identification to stewardship.

Frequent and regular contact with donors and funders by phone, video and in person.

Identification, qualification and research of philanthropy prospects, both new and from other income streams.

Work with colleagues and clinicians in the development of engaging and bespoke proposals.

The charity is currently conducting a four-day working week trial, due to end on 31st March 2025. This means that, for example, staff previously working 37.5 hours a week are now working 30 hours a week to enable a four-day working week. About the role
The Housing Supply Implementation and Partnerships Manager is an exciting new role which will be pivotal in supporting Crisis to deliver on our bold new vision to provide safe, settled, affordable housing to end people’s homelessness directly with homes for the first time in our history. This role will work closely with the Head of Housing supply on the implementation of a plan to deliver 100 homes for Crisis members over next 3 years and development of longer-term planning for delivery of 1000+ homes by 2035.
You will be working to implement this exciting new approach by developing collaborative partnerships with the right organisations to help us to succeed as well as overseeing high quality delivery in all areas of our housing supply work. This is a new challenge for us as an organisation and we are keen to get it right, trialling new approaches and taking measured risks to learn and improve along the way. We can’t end homelessness without homes.

Job Description
The purpose of this role is to raise LMK’s profile and to engage LMK’s stakeholders in our services, campaigns and fundraising efforts by delivering impactful content across all of our online and offline communication channels in alignment with our vision, mission and strategic objectives. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating quality communications, you will lead our PR and media work, be skilled in creating engaging video content and add your expertise to developing and delivering our social media, website and stakeholder communications.
Reporting to our CEO, the successful candidate will job-share with our established 2 day-per week Marketing & Communications Manager. As a member of LMK’s core staff team, you will work with LMK staff, LMK Leaders (youth workers who deliver our workshops to young people), members of our Youth Advisory Board, trustees and key stakeholders to develop and implement our brand, marketing and social media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Brand
- Co-develop LMK’s marketing strategy, leveraging key stakeholder input and action plans to support it
- Co-ownership of the execution of all marketing activities and materials, ensuring they reflect the brand and the values of the charity

We Are Survivors are looking for an experienced therapeutic manager to come and join our Community Team to help us support survivors and their supporters across Greater Manchester.

This role will lead on the delivery of our year-round volunteering programmes, with a particular focus on volunteering at our venue Aviva Studios. This will include the recruitment of Aviva Studios volunteers, training and induction, and support for volunteers taking part in our programmes. Responsibilities
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for:
Statutory Reporting

Work alongside the Finance and Administrative Executive to support the Director with financial reporting for the audit in line with SORP regulations.

Coordinate with the Finance and Administrative Executive to prepare all schedules for the annual audit and support the relationship with the auditors. Co-ordinate all audit, accounting and taxation services.

Financial Management

Support the Director with the preparation of quarterly management accounts and associated narrative reports for the board of trustees, attending and minuting finance sub-committee meetings.

Work closely with the Finance and Administrative Executive and the Director to ensure efficient financial management for Bite Back, making recommendations on systems, controls and processes to resolve challenges and ensure robust and accurate financial governance.

Accountability for all month end processes resulting in accurate monthly Management Accounts, restricted fund reports and updated cash flow. Support the extended leadership team to monitor budgets and financial performance. Investigate and explain variances of budgets to actuals.

Financial Policies and Controls

Oversee the monthly credit card reconciliations for the team, following up with the Finance and Administrative Executive as needed for internal coding and sign off as well as managing the credit card platform. Revenue Generation and Monitoring
Work closely with the Grants and Fundraising Manager, Director and CEO to:

- Leadership & Supervision: To provide leadership to the dynamic team and keep an oversight on the performance of the team members on regular basis, provide guidance and supervision as required, to organise monthly 1-2-1s with the team to provide support in achieving their objectives.
- Strategy: To develop and lead on effective and coherent Community Fundraising Strategy along with work plans, defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor departmental performance.
- Partnerships: To identify strategic fundraising partners and engage with the relevant stakeholders to enhance the UKIM’s donor base and fundraising profile within the sector.
- Fundraising Campaigns: To develop various Community Fundraising Campaigns (calendar)/ Community Outreach, appeals (including TV/ radio), identifying suitable presenters/ fundraisers, street collections, organising fundraising events/ challenges, secure sponsorships from small & medium businesses etc.
- Budgets: To prepare departmental budget, monitor progress of income targets and expenses incurred. Prepare quarterly reports for the Executive Director and Trustees and present the progress to F&GPC regarding Community FR and other income streams and expenses incurred.
- Coordination: To regularly coordinate with the Finance Team and Media, Marketing & Comms Team regarding the status of fundraising income recorded and follow-up with any pledges made by the donors.
- Donor Engagement: To actively engage with high net worth donors/ individuals and identify 1-2-1 sponsorship for profile-based projects.
- Reporting: To ensure that any profile-based project reports are shared with the respective donors.
- Working as part of team: To work with other Heads and Managers to ensure effective delivery of all fundraising campaigns and activities.
- Communication: To effectively communicate with other departments to coordinate and streamline all fundraising activities.
- Management: Manage a dynamic team to ensure UKIM’s International, UK and other programmes/projects maximise in their fundraising income.
- Horizon Scanning: To undertake horizon scanning, to continually review the sector trends, identify new fundraising approaches, identify innovative fundraising ideas.
- Regulatory Compliance: To comply with the regulatory bodies guidelines including FRSB, ICO (including GDPR), Charity Commissions etc.
- Reporting: To be able to produce Brief Reports regarding departmental activities and plans.
- CRM System: To keep the organisational CRM system up to date, including keeping regular contact with the donors for profile-based projects.
- Complaint Handling: To handle and respond to any donor complaints in a timely manner.
- Recruitment: To undertake recruitment (as required) for casual workers engaged during campaigns/ appeals.
- Website: To ensure that all fundraising campaigns/ events information is always up to date on UKIM’s website and is aligned with the CRM system and with the Finance systems.
Person Specification:
- Education at a minimum of Graduation, Masters in preferable in relevant field/ discipline.
- Experience of raising a charity’s profile through developing and delivering creative, engaging Community Fundraising Campaigns and organising fundraising events.
- Experience of managing a WordPress website CMS, including Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), site navigation, Gutenberg page structuring.
- Excellent writing skills and ability to consistently create content that is clear and engaging.
- High level of digital competence and creativity to support strategic goals
- Proven Fundraising experience.
- Experience in managing budgets.
- Experience in developing team strategies and plans.
- People management experience.
- Knowledge of varied funding sources and structures and BME and faith-based communities.
- Extensive knowledge of a wide range of fundraising techniques.
- Understanding of the Charity Act and other legislation affecting fundraising ventures.
- Inter-personal communication skills.
