About the role
We are looking for a Child and Family Specialist to join our partnership with the London Borough of Ealing, delivering early intervention support to children, young people, and families with moderate mental health needs. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed, and mentalization techniques, you will provide direct interventions in schools, homes, and community settings. You will also collaborate with multi-agency professionals to strengthen the support network for young people.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will provide individual and group therapeutic support to children, young people, and families in schools, homes, and community settings. You will assess mental health needs using observation, interviews, and psychological assessment tools, delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to each case. Working collaboratively with carers, teachers, and social workers, you will enhance multi-agency support networks and promote understanding of children’s mental health. A key part of your role will involve delivering training and consultation to school staff and other professionals, ensuring best practices in mental health support. You will also supervise and support Wellbeing Practitioners, offering guidance to maintain high standards of care. Additionally, you will manage risk, adhere to safeguarding policies, and maintain strong communication across education, health, and social care sectors. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the success of the Ealing Early Intervention Service and improving outcomes for young people.
What you will bring
To succeed in this role, you will need a recognised qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology, Family Therapy, or a related field, alongside experience working therapeutically with children and young people, including those with SEND and Care Experienced backgrounds. A strong understanding of neurodiversity-informed and trauma-informed approaches is essential, as is experience in safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency collaboration. You should have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage workloads effectively, and experience delivering training to professionals in education, social care, and healthcare.

We are looking for a Wellbeing Practitioner to join Safe Evolve, Ealing Early Intervention Service, a partnership between the London Borough of Ealing and Anna Freud. This role sits within a community well-being team that provides early intervention for children, young people, and families experiencing moderate mental health challenges. You will deliver evidence-based interventions, working collaboratively with schools, social workers, and other professionals to enhance support networks. This is a great opportunity to make a tangible impact on young people’s mental health within a dynamic and supportive team.
What you will be doing
You will provide therapeutic support to children, young people, and families through individual and group interventions in schools, family homes, and community settings. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT and trauma-informed care, you will address moderate mental health needs. A key part of your role will be assessing young people’s well-being, developing intervention plans, and working closely with multi-agency professionals to ensure coordinated care. You will contribute to training and consultation for school staff and other stakeholders to enhance their understanding of mental health needs. What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate will have a recognised qualification in psychology, mental health, or a related field, along with experience delivering evidence-based interventions such as CBT for children and young people. You should have experience working in community or school settings, supporting children with diverse and complex needs, including Looked After Children and those with SEND.
A strong understanding of trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed practices is essential, as is experience with safeguarding and risk management. You will need strong communication and teamwork skills, the ability to manage your workload independently, and experience delivering training or consultation to professionals.
A commitment to inclusivity, cultural awareness, and continuous professional development is key. Additionally, you should be comfortable working within a multi-agency setting and supervising junior staff. If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Supported Housing Manager at Lansworth House one of our two sites across Brighton and Hove.
Our Brighton & Hove Services provide supported accommodation for 35 young people at risk of homelessness. Lansworth House is one of our 24-hour supported housing services offering high and medium levels of housing-related support for young people aged of 16-25 with 20 bedspaces and shared communal facilities. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building. Situated in the centre of Hove, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.
In delivering the role, you will report to the Supported Housing Manager and be responsible for:
Service Provision: Supporting the Supported Housing Manager with the daily operations of the services so that they meet the requirements of the service specification including compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH) and Ofsted regulations. Oversee the residents’ referral, interview and induction processes for all beds and ensure the Occupancy Agreements and House Rules are fully understood. Ensure the quality of accommodation that is provided, liaising with the Housing and Property Services team to complete estate inspections and health and safety risk assessments, and to turn around voids and organise repairs in line with organisational targets and statutory obligations. With the Supported Housing Manager ensure effective income collection for all beds, working closely with the Rents team to create a rent payment culture.
Leadership and People Management: Directly line manage team members, ensuring their service delivery, working culture and personal development mirror best practice. Ensuring the team is adequately trained and empowered to work effectively and creatively with our young people to enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions, whilst ensuring they are supported within safe and consistent boundaries.
General: Be a member of the ‘on call’ rota to provide out of hours management support to projects in the wider locality. Reflect Psychologically Informed Environments (PIEs), Trauma Informed approaches and restorative practices.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on, all-round marketing and communications professional who will be supported by and work closely with a Strategic Communications Consultant to help manage our social media channels, roll-out campaigns, and progress sustainable, low-budget marketing and communications approaches. A large part of the role will include being responsible for maintaining our existing social media channels, including developing content ideas from start to fruition, and organic posting across Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn.
Requirements
- Knowledge of best practice for social media, comfortable working closely with an animator / video editor with minimal supervision, with evidence of publishing on social media for a business or charitable organisation

About You:
To be successful as the Young Persons Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
The post holder will have proven experience of working with children and young people and may have a background in youth work. They will have an excellent understanding of violence against women and girls, risk management and of best practice within the young people’s sector. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.
Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.
Tender started working in Bath and North-East Somerset in 2018 and has since gone from strength to strength, developing strong, long-term relationships with schools and funders across the region.
In April 2023, we started implementing a new 3-year strategy across Tender, and in the West of England we anticipate a continuing growth in demand for our work from schools and other settings. As the Programme Manager (West), you will play a key role in the growth and implementation of the work across the region. You will also be a key member of the wider national team, with opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues across the country.
In this role, you will also be part of the Tender team delivering an innovative whole setting approach programme, RE:SET. RE:SET is an online toolkit to support local primary, secondary and specialist schools to explore, adapt and reset their existing relationships education across the whole school. It supports schools to promote healthy, equal and respectful relationships and become Healthy Relationships Champion Schools.
The main purposes of the Programme Manager (West) role are:
- Managing the delivery of Tender’s educational projects with groups of children and young people in all schools and youth settings in the West of England (“West”, meaning primarily Avon & Somerset but with the opportunity for the Programme Manager to identify other areas in the West of England in which Tender could deliver its programmes)
- Managing all aspects of the development of new arts-based, abuse-prevention programmes, from creating an idea, to testing, piloting and rolling it out, in collaboration with colleagues and partners
- Managing the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of Tender’s programmes in the West and maintaining a consistent level of quality across all projects

- Leading the development of Tender’s programmes with groups of children and young people in all schools and youth settings in the West, particularly specialist provision projects

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Programme leadership - To lead the continued strategic development and coordination of the Future Generations Work Programme across CSE; to ensure that all staff are able and encouraged to engage young people in their work; to maintain a portfolio of youth focused projects which provide opportunities for young people to develop capabilities for effectively participating in the energy system transition.
- Development – To pro-actively lead the development of innovative and impactful project ideas and funding proposals for the Future Generations programme, and work with the Development and Communications teams to build and manage the relationships, evidence, and plans necessary to secure investment.
- Representation – To provide inspiration and practical guidance both internally and externally (through targeted public speaking, network-building and online media) for the better inclusion of future generations in sustainability and resilience planning; aligning the Future Generation’s programme with CSE’s strategic objectives and fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and excellence.
- Team and project management – To take responsibility for the planning and overall delivery of Future Generations projects: ensuring that the Future Generations team is well-resourced, highly motivated, and continuously developing their skills, and that project teams are well-led, efficiently coordinated, effectively using CSE systems and processes, and able to deliver work on time, to budget and to client/donor expectations. Provide mentoring to junior members of the LACE team and provide effective and timely senior management support to contribute to overall team wellbeing and cohesion.
- Safeguarding – to act as a safeguarding lead for our work with children and young people. This includes supporting the handling of any handling of reports or concerns (in conjunction with CSE’s dedicated safe guarding officer); pro-actively working to ensure that risks are well understood and managed; keeping policies and procedures up to date; ensuring that safeguarding is prioritized and that expectations of staff, volunteers, trustees, student placements, agency workers and sub-contractors are clear and adhered to.

Senior Research and Evaluation Manager

We are recruiting for a Senior Research and Evaluation Manager role within our team. This is a key role within our organisation, joining our managers group alongside colleagues in public involvement (including youth involvement), peer research, communications, and operations. This role will have programme and line management responsibility for 3 or 4 staff working from a lived experience perspective. Specifically the role will work upon a new public health evaluation programme with colleagues at McPin and The University of Exeter, and a qualitative study exploring sexism and impact on girls mental health as part of a large Wellcome funded grant led by researchers at Kings College London in collaboration with researchers in Tokyo.
We are looking for someone with well-developed research and evaluation skills applied to mental health and public health contexts, specifically advanced qualitative methods and social theory. The two current projects require advanced qualitative skills, working to deliver evaluations to tight deadlines and supporting other staff to analyse complex data, including cross-national analysis. The role will also require the postholder to develop research and evaluation skills in others, including community partners. They will lead on writing reports, papers and new project tenders, as well as co-developing larger proposals with university partners as opportunities arise.
