About the Role
Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We work with all kinship carers – the grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and family friends who step up to raise children when their parents can’t.
We’re excited to be launching Kinship Reach in Staffordshire, a completely new contract that will extend our trusted support to many more kinship families. Reach is delivered entirely online, offering tailored one-to-one and group support that is flexible, accessible and rooted in kinship carers’ lived experience.
As a Kinship Family Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support through a digital model that fits around carers’ lives. You will:

Complete online family assessments and develop tailored support plans.

Provide emotional and practical support over a structured intervention period.

Run online group sessions that build connection, confidence and community.

Help carers access wider services and community assets in Staffordshire and beyond.

Work closely with our partners in Staffordshire to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.

The role
SAFE! Support for Young People Affected by Crime is a dynamic Oxford based charity working across the Thames Valley.We are looking for experienced practitioners to provide support on a freelance basis to young people and parents/caregivers across all our services.Sessional practitioners are contracted on a freelance basis to provide one-to-one support to young people and their parents.There are also opportunities to co-facilitate group work.Sessions may be delivered remotely or face to face, dependent upon the needs of clients.Freelancers are home-based practitioners who travel to meet young people and /or parents face-to-face (within a 25-mile radius), provide remote support online, or a combination of both.
SAFE! Sessional Practitioners
Locations: Opportunities across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, and Berkshire
Payment: Practitioners submit invoices monthly and are paid at a rate of £25 per hour, plus £10 per hour travel cost.They are liable for all tax and business expenses.
About you
You’ll have extensive experience of working with young people in a supportive role with a proven track record of building appropriate relationships and providing outstanding support to children, young people, and parents.You’ll be confident in designing individual intervention plans based on needs. About the role:
This role is based in the Victim Help Centre, in St Asaph, North Wales and working in liaison with North Wales Police and other relevant agencies.
In this position you will contact Victims by telephone to undertake a comprehensive needs assessment and commission a range of services to support identified needs if appropriate.
You will refer victims to partner agencies and contact approved suppliers to deliver services to victims. You will also direct referrals to appropriate colleagues to allocate Victim Support workers for further support.
You will identify and manage the victims immediate service needs and contribute towards risk assessment processes and following agreed safe contact processes and recording all contact securely.
The nature of service required will vary depending on individual circumstances and specified outcomes will be achieved through building trust and confidence with victims who will be vulnerable and have complex needs.
Level 4 Welsh Language skills and the ability to communicate fluently through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this role.
