Canaan Project are seeking a Director to lead the organisation in to a new season of growing and strengthening our support for young women .
Canaan Project is a charity motivated by Christian ethos and values with a mission to work collaboratively with 11-19 year old girls and young women in Tower Hamlets to see them flourish, have broadened horizons and raised aspirations. We do this by providing experiences and opportunities through innovative approaches to youth work within schools and in the community.

The Director has oversight of the organisations effective running, ensuring it continues to meet its aims and objectives. This includes having oversight of all Canaan Project operations and activities, in conjunction with the Senior Young Women’s Worker and beingresponsible for the ongoing financial security of the project, fundraising, strategic planning and vision, development of all policies relating to the work including staff and volunteer management, safeguarding, and finance.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
Location: Based onsite either Crisis Skylight Merseyside, 96 Kent Street, L1 5BD and partner agencies on a rota basis.
Hours: 35 per week between the hours of 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday on a rota basis
About the role
As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be the first point of contact for someone who comes to Crisis for help to prevent or end their homelessness. You will:

Welcome them to the service on site and at partner agencies,

Listen carefully and non-judgementally to their story,

Complete thorough Crisis and Mainstay assessments using a trauma informed approach,

Agree realistic options and the support needed to assist them to prevent their homelessness or a pathway out of homelessness.

Help them formulate a holistic plan and help them take the initial steps, where necessary.

Hold a caseload of members who require short term intervention to end their homelessness.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience of working successfully with disadvantaged/or socially excluded groups and individuals, utilising a psychologically informed approach.

Ability to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring accessible, welcoming, and safe ‘front of house’ environment in a busy service.

Experience of assessing presenting needs, and an understanding of strengths-based assessments. You will have empathy and understanding of the barriers to accessing services.

Ability to manage successful relationships with external agencies and relevant service providers and successfully advocate on members behalf.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to ensure accurate record keeping on a variety of Case Management Systems/Databases.

Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to successfully manage a busy and diverse workload.

The ability to use your own initiative to contribute to the effective running of the service and to work flexibly as part of a team.
You may have experience in:

We are looking for a Fundraising and Events Coordinator to join our busy team. This entry-level role will work across our organisation and the successful candidate will gain valuable experience in fundraising, event planning and management and marketing.
Children and Families Across Borders will be marking our 70th anniversary in 2024 and will be using this special occasion to leverage funds and raise our profile.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and management of large fundraising events. You will coordinate the event logistics and ensure that each event is successful. Working closely with the Deputy CEO, you will help to promote both events to CFAB’s donors and prospects and research and identify potential event sponsors.
You will also help us to work on our annual online fundraising campaign, The Big Give Christmas Challenge. Working with both the fundraising and marketing team, you will help us to create initial design concepts and draft copy. You will help us to clean and segment donor and prospect data and log all communications on our CRM database.
This position will also play an important role in creating our donor communications throughout the year including regular updates and our annual impact report.

Vocations and Placements (18-30) Development Officer
Location: Hybrid (Cliff College Derbyshire or London) or Home-Based
Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House or Cliff College have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2-3 days in the office.
The Vacancy
The Methodist Church is at an exciting point in the development of its ministry with young adults (18-30). We are seeking to appoint someone with enthusiasm and passion for seeing young adults connect with God and explore their calling as a follower of Christ.
This role is integral to the delivery of the Young Adult Ministry Development Plan, and will focus on the following priorities:
- The management, development and advocacy of a new Young Adult Mission Placement Scheme, which aims to provide opportunities for young adults to be employed (or volunteer) in mission-focused placements in local churches and circuits where they can explore their vocation.
- Advocating for, supporting and enabling creative and relevant young adult ministry to be started and embedded in circuits and districts by journeying with local circuits/districts, providing advice and mentoring as appropriate to pilot creative projects for young adults to engage with and grow in discipleship and vocation.
An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be incurred by the Methodist Church.
This post holds a Genuine Occupational Requirement for the post holder to be a member in good standing of a church in association with Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CBTI) or equivalent.

This is an exciting and vital role to shape and deliver a multi-channel communications strategy for a leading mental health charity, focused on supporting the systems around children and young people including parents/carers, schools, colleges and universities. The main responsibilities will include creating and overseeing the activation of the marketing strategy and using data insights and analytics to grow and develop the Trust’s reach and support. The role will also act as the guardian to the organisation’s website as the main resource and marketing hub.
