The Fundraising Manager will play a key role within the Income Generation team, working closely with those in the South West who wish to fundraise in aid of Grief Encounter. The role focuses on maximizing opportunities and ensuring outstanding supporter care while raising awareness of the c harity's work. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising plan designed to increase engagement and support the overall targets of the team.

We’re an award-winning charity running local learning centres in the heart of the communities where the young people we support live. Our centres provide a high-impact education programme which includes practical learning support, pastoral care, and motivational and confidence-building activities for young people aged 7-18. Our aim is to enable students from the least advantaged neighbourhoods to realise their ambitions and achieve their wonderful potential.
As the UK’s leading university access organisation, our staff team is helping 56,000 young people each year at its 44 learning centres and extension projects across England and Scotland, and we plan to scale-up our provision to 50 centres over the coming years.
We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take on the permanent role of Regional Operations Manager for our centres in the South West and Oxford, currently Bristol East, Bristol South, Weston-super-Mare and Oxford South East.
As a Regional Operations Manager you will line manage the Centre Leaders in your region to ensure that centres are working effectively, that the high quality of programme delivery to young people is maintained across the cluster, and that targets are monitored and met. And of course, you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people and helping them achieve their ambitions.

Contract: This is a permanent role. This role can be either full-time or part-time (0.8 FTE) - responsibilities will be adjusted proportionally for part-time candidates.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. Our team works in-person 4 days per week (or 3 days for a 0.8 FTE staff member) with 1 day working from home.
Location
The role would be based at one of IntoUniversity centres in Bristol or Weston Super Mare. The role requires frequent travel in your region (usually within the day), journey times can be 1 hour+. Intermittent travel out of the area is also required e.g. to London, this may include occasional overnight stays.

£40,000
Pro rata for part-time candidate.

Key Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for marketing and communications at Soundabout which includes:
• Review, update, and deliver a marketing and communications strategy and calendar to support Soundabout's goals, supported by the CEO.
• Plan and deliver strategic marketing campaigns and events (mostly digital), with strategic support from the CEO, including an annual winter fundraising campaign and ad host virtual events to promote Soundabout and build stakeholder relations.
• Develop, manage, and update the content on Soundabout's main website (WordPress), keeping it compelling, accessible, and on brand for all our key audiences.
• Maintain and update the Soundabout Families and Soundabout Choir Hubs websites, ensuring they stay up-to-date and on brand.
• Create, publish, and schedule posts for Soundabout's social media channels with the aim of engaging and growing our audience and in line with strategy, working with the CEO and wider team to determine content. • Design digital and printed marketing materials and publications, such as newsletters, annual reports / impact reports, and flyers for our different audiences.
• Collate content from across the team, to write and circulate newsletters and ad hoc bulletins, editing content so it is coherent in style, using MailChimp.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Focus on scaling and strengthening The Resilience Project, particularly developing alternative revenue generating pathways, key partnerships and long-term sustainable funding mechanisms. From this, develop and implement a long-term strategy that aligns with the organisation’s mission, vision, and values. Lead the organisation in responding to emerging challenges and opportunities in climate justice, youth mental health, and resilience-building. Embody and model our values of courage, care, co-design, community, joy and inclusivity.
- Organisational Development: Build and nurture a high-performing team of international staff and volunteers. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and empowering organisational culture. Work closely with the Senior Board to ensure effective governance and accountability.
- Financial Management: Working with the Finance and Fundraising Lead, develop and oversee budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and smooth cashflow. Diversify income streams through grants, partnerships, donations, and other revenue opportunities. Lead in the development and creation of additional revenue opportunities.
- Programme Oversight: Working with the Programmes Office, ensure the continued delivery and development of impactful initiatives such as the Resilience Fellowship Programme, community Programmes and workshops. Monitor and evaluate programme impact to ensure quality, effectiveness and relevance to the youth climate justice movement. Oversee our international expansion, leading on risk assessment and ensuring any development promotes sensitivity, inclusion, co-design and resilience.
- Partnerships and Advocacy: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and youth organisations. Act as an ambassador for The Resilience Project, advocating for youth empowerment and climate resilience on national and international platforms.
- Communications and Fundraising: Oversee the organisation’s communications and marketing strategy to enhance visibility and engagement. Lead fundraising efforts to secure the resources necessary to achieve the organisation’s goals.
- Line Management: Act as line manager to Finance and Fundraising Lead, and Marketing and Communications Lead, overseeing workflow and monthly wellbeing check-ins.

The Trust and Foundation Manager role will play a crucial role in maximising funding for Wells Cathedral, helping to preserve it for the future and open its outstanding heritage to visitors everywhere.
As Trust and Foundation Manager you will:
· Lead on creating and developing the Trust and Foundation strategy for the Cathedral, with support from the Director of Development.
· Build and maintain strong and rewarding partnerships with charitable Trusts and Foundations and achieve funding including multi-year grants, unrestricted and restricted income.
· Achieve results through persuasive and compelling applications and proposals and creating robust budgets. Amplify project impact through detailed monitoring and inspiring reports.
· Build the financial resilience of the Cathedral through prospect research, developing qualified prospect pipelines and driving new funding approaches.
· Build strong networks and advance relationships with grant makers and trustees of Trusts and Foundations, engaging the wider Cathedral team and Chapter in developing relationships and stewardship plans.
· Help realise The Vicars’ Close Project – the Cathedral’s transformational project to save Vicars’ Close and create an inspiring new visitor offer, as well as an exciting range of future projects.
· Network and keep abreast of the wider funding landscape and giving trends to inform the strategy and with a view to engaging new Trusts and Foundations and identifying funding opportunities.
· Lead on grant approvals, crediting obligations, progress monitoring and reporting deadlines.
· Develop and manage high-quality cultivation, engagement and stewardship plans for existing donors and new funders. Input into the design, delivery and support a range of unique events to inspire supporters and cultivate new relationships, bringing to life the extraordinary work of the Cathedral.
· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

The Centre for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People (CfD) is a registered small-sized charity that delivers a wide range of services including community development and assistive equipment services to people in Bristol who are Deaf, hard of hearing or deafened. As our mission statement says, we are working toward creating a Bristol “where everyone can participate in all aspects of life in the city, whatever their level of hearing”.
CfD challenges the prejudice and barriers that Deaf and hard of hearing people face in their daily lives. We are developing exciting new plans for activities that will contribute to our aims and promote equality for all deaf people.
CfD is seeking a Manager to run our Equipment Service, contribute to projects and support our CEO as we move forward with our new plans. The post-holder will be based at the Vassall Centre, Gill Ave, Fishponds, Bristol, BS16 2QQ.
This is an exciting opportunity to help CfD grow. You will manage our Equipment Service for Deaf and hard of hearing people, with a focus on developing the scope and reach of the service. You will also contribute to a portfolio of projects and support the CEO by managing staff and leading on areas of work such as HR and Health and Safety. Summary of duties:
Equipment Service
The Manager will oversee the running of the Equipment Service, managing the two Equipment Officers and the two CfD Administrators, as well as being responsible for the Resource Room. You will also be responsible for the marketing of the Equipment Service, developing the existing marketing strategy and implementing your new approach. This part of your role will take 20 hours a week.
The Manager will also be responsible for developing the Equipment Service so that we reach more people, make more use of Bluetooth technology and offer more support to existing clients. This part of your role will take 7 hours a week.
The role may develop to include spending some time as an Equipment Officer, visiting clients, making assessments and providing equipment to clients. Training will be provided for this part of the role.
These parts of the role are core. All candidates will be asked to carry out these duties.
Additional hours are also available to:
1. Work an additional 3 hours a week developing the Equipment Service
2. Work with other CfD staff to develop and run projects and support the CfD CEO. This work will be up to an additional day a week (7.5 hours a week)
Current projects include:
· Developing new ways of supporting Deaf and hard of hearing people, with an emphasis on setting up “Living with Hearing Loss“ workshops and peer support groups for hard of hearing people.

Support Role

CEO Support

2. Deputise for the CEO at selected meetings and events, and to develop and maintain relationships with key external partners and agencies.
3. Work with the CEO to cost and implement new initiatives and service delivery opportunities.
General
1. Attend conferences, training and other staff development opportunities.
2. Develop an agreed personal training plan and carry this out using internal and external training as required.
3. Adhere to and promote CfD’s policies and standards, especially the Equal Opportunities, Data Protection, Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Communication policies.
4. Act as an ambassador for CfD; promoting a positive and professional image and attitude at all times.
5. Support the CEO and other CfD staff in achieving the aims of CfD and carry out such other relevant duties as may be agreed.
6. Support CfD to find funding for new projects involving Deaf and Hard of Hearing people.
7. Coordinate and manage own Access to Work support (if needed).
Terms and conditions:
1. This is a part/full-time position of 27- 37.5 hours a week. CfD’s core hours are 10am – 4pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Applications are welcome from candidates who wish to work for any number of hours between 27 and 37.5 (full-time). Part-time hours may be split across 4 or 5 days.
2. This is a permanent post, subject to availability of funding. Equipment Service funding from Bristol City Council is renewed every 3 years subject to CfD winning a competitive tender. The current service contract will run to the end of March 2026.
3. Salary £27,500 - £31,000 a year pro rata.
Note:
The final interpretation of this job description rests with the CEO in consultation with the Board of Trustees and the jobholder. The job description will be reviewed in the course of supervision meetings and any amendments will be negotiated with the jobholder. The jobholder is also expected to share in other CfD activities as time permits and by agreement with the CEO.
Essential skills, abilities and knowledge:
· Educated to A-Level standard, including Maths and English GCSEs.

Equipment Service – Further Information:
The aim of the Equipment Service is to make sure that clients get the equipment they need and are confident in using it. We support clients to be independent by helping to remove some of the barriers they face because of their hearing loss.
The Deaf Equipment Service is contracted to CfD by Bristol City Council. CfD has run the Equipment Service for Deaf and hard of hearing people for over 10 years. Our Equipment Officers make pre-arranged visits to the homes of Deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing people within the city of Bristol. We carry out assessments to find out what clients need and then supply the equipment (usually free of charge), provide training so clients know how to use it and support clients if they need repairs or replacement equipment. Every year we work with around 400 clients. The equipment we supply includes TV listening devices, flashing doorbells, amplified telephones and personal listeners. We are developing an outreach programme to try and reach as many deaf people in Bristol as we can.
As the Manager of the Equipment Service, your main tasks will be:
1. Manage, maintain, and improve the Equipment Service to make sure all KPIs are met.
2. Manage the Equipment Service budget and make sure all activities are delivered within budget.
3. Manage the two part-time Equipment Officers and the two CfD Administrators, including conducting supervisions, and chairing team meetings.
4. Develop and implement the marketing strategy for the Equipment Service so that the service expands to meet our new targets.
5. Support the administrators to monitor the Equipment Service email inbox, responding promptly to all customer related queries.
6. Keep records using CfD’s Charitylog database, electronic files and some paper records.
7. Produce regular reports and statistics on work done.
8. Develop the Equipment Service by:
a. Exploring how workshops on hearing loss can be used to support hard of hearing people.
b. Developing peer-support as a way of promoting the wellbeing of hard of hearing people.

Sense has a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Fundraising Team as our Regional Fundraising Manager covering the East and London. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week, working flexibly between home and our offices in King's Cross, London as well as other locations across the East and London, including Barnet, Luton and Cambridge.
This is a key role within the Midlands region for Sense, responsible for generating income and engagement, working closely with services, volunteers and engagement staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating community fundraising income in the Midlands .You will lead on the implementation and delivery of the community fundraising strategy in order to generate net income and attract more people to support Sense within the region. You aim will be to achieve the income target for the Midlands of £105,000 through 4 key income streams – local businesses, groups and associations, trading and education institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and build long term relationships with key regional contacts, such as local businesses, organisations, schools and high value individuals to encourage financial and long-term support for Sense within the region
- Local businesses and grants are the largest income drivers for Sense community fundraising. Therefore, this role will build and develop a prospect list of key businesses and community grants in the area, to connect and then apply for
- Work with the Head of Community Fundraising to develop the Community Fundraising strategy for the London & East area, implementing core activities and identifying other potential regional opportunities
- Achieve agreed income targets, monitoring and forecasting on a regular basis and taking remedial action when necessary
- Manage our Team Community Fundraiser who is based in London & East and support their key areas of work and regularly review and monitor their performance
- Collaborate with other teams in Fundraising to pass on supporters and generate potential leads for teams such as Events, High Value Partnerships and Legacies
- Support colleagues in our Operations and Trading teams to develop their fundraising potential including spotting and maximising potential higher value opportunities
- Build a strong relationship with colleagues based at Sense Centres in Barnet, Luton and Cambridge
Key skills and experience
- Understanding of Community based fundraising trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to keep clear and accurate records, producing reports and analysis and presenting them in an effective way to stakeholders and Head of Team
- Extensive experience of recruiting, supporting and stewarding fundraisers or volunteers
- A track record of generating income through various community income streams including groups and local businesses
- Extensive experience of building successful internal and external relationships
- Experience of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while still providing the highest level of customer care to all supporters

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead MOVE Against Cancer in its next phase of growth, ensuring that our programmes continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those living with and beyond cancer. The CEO will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to ensure the organisation’s financial growth, programmatic excellence, and alignment with its mission. This role will require a visionary leader with experience in charity management, HR, fundraising, strategic planning, and navigating the dynamic landscape of cancer support.
CEO - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income Generation & Financial Responsibility
Lead the development and execution of MOVE Against Cancer’s income generation strategy across a diverse range of funders, including trusts and foundations, business partnerships, individual and community fundraising. Create and manage a realistic, achievable annual budget, ensuring that all financial performance aligns with organisational goals. Monitor and report on the organisation’s financial performance, providing regular, accurate updates to the Trustees. Develop relationships with current and potential funders, reporting back on the impact of their donations and securing further financial support. Identify new opportunities to diversify and maximise income streams to support organisational growth, ensuring that the charity can meet its long-term goals. Oversee compliance with fundraising regulations, ensuring that all fundraising activities adhere to legal and ethical standards. Ensure monthly financial reporting and performance tracking, reviewing risks, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
Strategy
Lead the sustainable growth of MOVE Against Cancer, ensuring that the organisation adapts to the evolving landscape of cancer support and related sectors. Work with the Board to regularly review and refine the organisation’s strategy, ensuring it remains responsive to external changes and opportunities.
HR, Compliance & Infrastructure Management
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements, including health and safety, Charity Commission guidance, safeguarding, and fundraising regulations. Oversee data protection policies, ensuring that MOVE Against Cancer meets all General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data privacy laws. Develop and review organisational policies and procedures at appropriate intervals to ensure best practices and compliance with regulations. Establish a continuous improvement framework, gathering feedback and data to guide the organisation’s strategic direction and operational excellence. Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure that all services meet or exceed the expectations of funders, partners, and beneficiaries.
Stakeholder Relationships
Protect and enhance the reputation of MOVE Against Cancer by acting as the organisation’s spokesperson Actively seek collaborations and partnerships with other charities, NHS Trusts, and relevant statutory bodies to strengthen MOVE Against Cancers impact.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience in growing and leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, with a proven track record of success in expanding reach and impact. Previous experience leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, including strategic planning, governance, and financial management. Demonstrated experience in leading and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including managing major donor relationships, grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising campaigns. In-depth knowledge and experience of cancer support services and the challenges faced by people living with and beyond cancer, including their families. Strong track record of working collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders including funders, healthcare professionals, and the public.

MOVE Benefits
Location: Remote, with occasional travel for events, workshops and meetings (Please note that this role is only available for applicants with the right to work in the UK)
The post is subject to a six months’ probationary period. We understand the importance of a work-life balance and respect individual needs. We offer a full-time position but we are also open to considering requests for a 4-day work week or part-time role for candidates with the right experience.
