Time2Share@WECIL’s Befriending Service links volunteers 1:1 with a Disabled child / young person. Links are based on shared interests and activities which the volunteer and young person can enjoy doing together either in the child/family home or out in the community.
What experience do I need?
You do not need any previous experience with disabled children or young people, but we ask that volunteers are friendly, caring, reliable and able to make a commitment to visit a young person regularly.
What will I be doing?
You will volunteer within Time2Share@WECIL’s befriending service for disabled children/young people (aged 5-18 yrs) and their families. This involves spending time regularly with a disabled child or young person in their home or supporting the young person to take part in social and leisure activities in their local community. You will not be asked to administer medication or deliver personal care in this role.
Who am I responsible for?
You are responsible for the safety and wellbeing of the child or young person you are linked with. All links are risk-assessed and carefully monitored by your co-ordinator.
Who am I responsible to?
The parent / carer. You must ensure that the parent / carer’s reasonable instructions and guidance regarding the welfare of their child are adhered to and that clear communication is maintained. Feedback must be given to the parent/carer following a visit.
How often will I be needed?
Time2Share@WECIL typically ask for volunteers to commit to 2-4 hours a week and the days / times are agreed between the volunteer and the family. We ask for a minimum commitment of 6 months to ensure the child and their family are able to benefit fully from the relationship.

As a Practical Family Support Volunteer for Tŷ Hafan, you will assist families in need with various light tasks such as cleaning, tidying up and laundry.

Age requirement: 21+
Location: Across South & West Wales (in your local area)
Time commitment: Flexible and can be adjusted to accommodate your personal schedule. The support plans designed for referred families are typically structured to span a period of six weeks.

Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for volunteers with some skills, experience and knowledge of gardening, either as a profession or as a hobby.

Role Description

We desire to provide free training so as many women and girls are trained, enabling increased protection against this horrific crime.
As a volunteer fundraiser, you’ll be instrumental in the organisation securing the essential funds that allow Emerge Worldwide to reach more people, including supporting and empowering victims and survivors. What are we looking for?
We’re seeking volunteers with experience in fundraising, fundraising research to help drive our fundraising efforts and expand our support network, including sponsorship. This is a unique opportunity for those eager to be part of a project evolving from its early stages to the launching of new initiatives. The volunteer will have ample opportunity to learn about charity structure, develop skills within the third sector, grow with the charity and see the results of their work as the charity develops.
What this position entails
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for formulating our marketing strategy, creating content, and managing the brand, while also laying a solid marketing foundation for the organisation.
Collaborating with the operational director, the manager will lead the crafting of our organisational strategic plan to implement marketing initiatives. This role involves developing our brand, enhancing communication and our online visibility, as well as providing robust support to the fundraising team in reaching our fundraising objectives by optimising digital presence, events and grant applications.
The ideal candidate should be capable of working autonomously, leading all facets of our marketing efforts, and managing a team. We seek a professional with experience in start-ups who can develop a brand from its inception and navigate budget limitations using free tools.
A key aspect of this position is the ability to strategically oversee and assist with marketing our fundraising events, which will take place during the summer months, as such experience with events is essential.
What do you need to become our Marketing Manager?
Essential:
• Proficient in Marketing plan development and execution
• Manage content creation with our assistants' support
• Brand management
• Manage engaging content for newsletters, social media, websites, and print materials
• Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and act as a brand guardian
• Social media and digital marketing
• Track performance metrics and optimise strategies for improved reach and effectiveness
• Ensure alignment between marketing campaigns and fundraising initiatives.
• Prepare and manage press releases, working with external PR agencies when required
• Organise and coordinate charity events, sponsorships, and marketing functions to enhance brand exposure
• Develop a framework for expanding the marketing function as the charity grows
• Identify and implement process improvements and new initiatives to support charity growth.
• Ability to manage a team.

Location: Fully Remote. But we welcome those who can come and visit the farm to understand more about us and attend events.
Commitment:
The estimate of time needed is 4 to 6 hours a week, and we welcome those volunteers that can offer more, although it is not a requirement for the role.
We can be flexible and work with you to find hours that fit ours and your schedule, including out-of-office hours and weekends- all help is much appreciated!
As a volunteer-led charity, we prioritise volunteers who want to become part of our operational team rather than those looking for a temporary assignment, as this role will involve a substantial amount of leadership. Therefore, we won’t accept applications from volunteers who cannot commit to at least 5-6 months with us.

Responsibilities: Facilitators are responsible for designing creative and interactive workshops for our young people, and delivering these workshops with our young people. We run some of our workshops online and other workshops are held in London. All workshops are held during the school holidays, in the evening and on weekends.
The workshop facilitator role is flexible and as part of your role, you may be involved in:

Delivering and leading short workshops or courses, on behalf of GT Scholars (Online or offline)

Designing engaging, interactive and educational workshops and short courses for young people and ensuring that the content is targeted to suit different abilities and capabilities

Running your own bespoke workshops, eg. workshops in coding and technology

Managing short activities and Q&A sessions during our workshops

Working collaboratively with other event coordinators, volunteers, ambassadors, workshop facilitators and speakers at our events

Person specification:

Availability: Workshops will run during the day on school holiday dates, on Saturdays or in the evening (5pm-8pm).
Additional information: We will need to conduct reference checks and you will need an Enhanced DBS for this role as you will be working directly with children. We can process this for you or you may submit one if this is less than 2 years old.
Rate of pay: This is a self-employed role. You must be aged 18 or above. Facilitator sessions range from 2 to 6 hours. The rate of pay will vary based on the budget of the funder.

Here at Youth4Youth, we have grown a strong, tight-knit community of individuals who are passionate about making a difference and improving the lives of young people across the UK. Our growing team of volunteers all contribute, significantly, to the impact that we have as a charity on our direct beneficiaries, regardless of the department that they work in of the level of time that they are able to commit. Our services primarily offer a peer-support network to young people right across the UK, allowing them to access a peer mentor who is of a similar age to them and somebody that they feel more comfortable speaking with.

About the role
This exciting role will put you at the forefront of volunteer and staff engagement. As an entirely volunteer run service, people are the heart of what we do and it's important that we are able to engage with them. As People Engagement Lead, you will lead a team of People Engagement Partners, as well as oversee policy and benefits for the Charity to ensure that we get the best out of our people and that our people get the best out of us.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of volunteers, including People Engagement Partners, the Volunteer Benefits & Reward Lead and the Policy Lead to ensure that the People Engagement Team deliver against their agreed objectives.
- Develop and execute a People Engagement Strategy, in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team and other People Team members to create a positive environment provide all of our volunteers with a meaningful and positive experiences.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team members to understand people related issues and deploy tactics to support the resolution of those issues.
- Support workforce planning activities that allows the Charity to grow in line with its strategy.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, including policy review schedules. Identify policy gaps to update existing policies or implement new policies based on organisational need.
Skills
- Prior experience in a HR business partner or leadership role, with at least 3 years experience.
- Understanding of organisational development models / engagement strategy development.
- Experience leading a team or desire to take a next step in your career to begin leading a team.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to understand the needs of clients and deliver against those needs.
- Strong courage of conviction to ensure that partners across the organisation are held to account and managing people as expected.
