About the role
We are looking for a Child and Family Specialist to join our partnership with the London Borough of Ealing, delivering early intervention support to children, young people, and families with moderate mental health needs. Using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, trauma-informed, and mentalization techniques, you will provide direct interventions in schools, homes, and community settings. You will also collaborate with multi-agency professionals to strengthen the support network for young people.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will provide individual and group therapeutic support to children, young people, and families in schools, homes, and community settings. You will assess mental health needs using observation, interviews, and psychological assessment tools, delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to each case. Working collaboratively with carers, teachers, and social workers, you will enhance multi-agency support networks and promote understanding of children’s mental health. A key part of your role will involve delivering training and consultation to school staff and other professionals, ensuring best practices in mental health support. You will also supervise and support Wellbeing Practitioners, offering guidance to maintain high standards of care. Additionally, you will manage risk, adhere to safeguarding policies, and maintain strong communication across education, health, and social care sectors. Your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring the success of the Ealing Early Intervention Service and improving outcomes for young people.
What you will bring
To succeed in this role, you will need a recognised qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology, Family Therapy, or a related field, alongside experience working therapeutically with children and young people, including those with SEND and Care Experienced backgrounds. A strong understanding of neurodiversity-informed and trauma-informed approaches is essential, as is experience in safeguarding, risk management, and multi-agency collaboration. You should have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage workloads effectively, and experience delivering training to professionals in education, social care, and healthcare.

Our charity, the Jon Egging Trust, is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of working with young people, to plan and deliver inspiring teamwork, leadership and employability programmes in North Wales. The role involves liaising with school staff, local partners (including the Military and local businesses) and volunteers to ensure programmes meet the needs of our young people and is supported by the Regional Manager, North Wales.
The successful candidate will be based from home with a requirement to travel to partner schools and business sites in and around Anglesey, Bangor and occasionally along the A55 corridor. Fuel expenses are paid and travel time is included as part of working hours. Working with secondary schools to provide early support programmes, core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school terms only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed as required.

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.
Tender started working in Bath and North-East Somerset in 2018 and has since gone from strength to strength, developing strong, long-term relationships with schools and funders across the region.
In April 2023, we started implementing a new 3-year strategy across Tender, and in the West of England we anticipate a continuing growth in demand for our work from schools and other settings. As the Programme Manager (West), you will play a key role in the growth and implementation of the work across the region. You will also be a key member of the wider national team, with opportunities to work collaboratively with colleagues across the country.
In this role, you will also be part of the Tender team delivering an innovative whole setting approach programme, RE:SET. RE:SET is an online toolkit to support local primary, secondary and specialist schools to explore, adapt and reset their existing relationships education across the whole school. The main purposes of the Programme Manager (West) role are:

We wish to recruit a Social Care Link Practitioners to join our established Essex Young Peoples Drug and Alcohol Team (EYPDAS) supporting young people aged 8-25 who are using or misusing substances and their families as well as being a point of contact for Essex Social Care.
You will provide direct therapeutic support to vulnerable young people, vulnerable young adults and families who are affected by substance use; engaging parents and carers into the drug treatment system, where required. You will support Essex Children's Social Care to be a point of contact and information..
Support offered will include one to one face to face interventions, targeted group work & online support across the County as well as consultation with professionals. You will also facilitate training around substances for statutory and voluntary agencies across the County.
The young people will require a skilled practitioner who is experienced in working with hard to reach, vulnerable young people at risk through the use of therapeutic approaches. You should have experience of facilitating groups or delivering training with knowledge of the issues and legislation affecting young people who are using or misusing substances.
What we are looking for...
-You will have substantial experience in working with vulnerable young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. To be able to evidence your ability to build positive relationships with groups of young people to raise awareness about substance use and the associated risks and impact.
-You will have experience of carrying out individual and group work interventions with young people and/or adults, either in an intervention or educative capacity.
-You will have experience in using Microsoft Office Applications and other relevant data systems.

About the FCLP
upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP) is a graduate programme combining delivery work (supporting our Associates) with exposure to a range of aspects of charity management.
As a Programme Coordinator on the FCLP you will be delivering personalised employment-focused support to a cohort of approximately 80 Associates, helping transform their lives by equipping them with the necessary skills to secure a top graduate job. During a typical week, you should expect to be working across a range of projects including 1:1 undergraduate coaching, group workshops, webinars (we refer to them as Video Forums), partnership management (with university partners or employer partners) and more!

Programme Coordinators spend 80% of their time (4 days per week) working directly with associates to enhance their career knowledge and skills and 20% (1 day per week) on a charity management rotation (or an apprenticeship after 18-months). No two days are the same, but your responsibilities may include:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with Associates, helping them to achieve their career goals

Developing and delivering professional development-focused support

Individual and small group work with Associates

Assisting Associates with their applications to undergraduate positions and graduate jobs

Developing sector and/or employability skill knowledge while building resources to aid all Associates
-
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with university and/or employer partners

Delivering informative workshops to enhance sector knowledge and employability skills

Planning, delivering and reporting on events and workshops with partners
When applying for this role we ask that applicants are able to commit to the full 18-month training programme and we encourage participation in the apprenticeship scheme beyond this. As you will be working directly with our beneficiaries throughout their degree, this consistency will allow you to build bonds with your Associates and ensure continuity, thus allowing us to have the most impact for the young people we work with.
What Skills and Experience do I need?
This programme would be suited to individuals who are committed to upReach’s mission, motivated to work with undergraduates and interested in learning about, and gaining experience in, charity management. We are looking for people who are passionate about social mobility and believe that background should not be a barrier to graduate employment.
Essential Skills/Experiences:

Working in a fast-paced environment and working independently to find solutions to problems

Strong organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage a varied workload

A University degree in any discipline, or equivalent experience

Self-motivation and an ability to work in a small team as well as solo

Excellent communication skills and strong written English

The ability to engage and communicate confidently with undergraduates, corporate volunteers (mentors) and employers via phone, email, and in person

Experience of public speaking or facilitating workshops
Desirable Skills/Experiences:

Knowledge of the graduate labour market in the UK and experience supporting individuals through an application process

Strong negotiation skills and experience in roles requiring influence

Working in one or more of the career sectors that upReach support Associates in applying to.
