About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Kentown Family Support Worker to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of the pilot Kentown Children’s Palliative Care Programme, in collaboration with Kentown Wizard and Together for Short Lives.

Reporting to the Kentown Project Lead out of our Lancaster team base and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.

About the role:

This role is based at our Gloucester office. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As a caseworker, you will:

• Effectively manage a caseload of self-referrals or referred service users, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims.

• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions

• Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures, working with safeguarding leads and other agencies to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.

• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice this could include criminal, legal and if relevant, civil remedies to service users.

• Experience of working with vulnerable adults and/or families

• Understanding and knowledge of an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities, inclusion and diversity

The Domestic Abuse Service provides professional specialist, practical and emotional support to individuals from the Armed Forces community who are surviving domestic abuse. This includes support with housing applications enabling beneficiaries to secure a place of safety for themself and their children, access to counselling sessions, and application to military assistance providers who can provide financial support to meet specific beneficiary needs.

The Outreach Worker will respond to contact made to the service, which could be via the Stepping Stone Home, and provide personalised support to eligible clients with the aim of empowering them to lead independent lives.

About the role

We are looking for someone to manage a caseload from initial contact to case closure, providing direct support, advice, and guidance while ensuring appropriate onward referrals to relevant agencies. 

Providing bespoke listening and emotional support, you will assess and respond to the needs of clients in real time. You will deliver personalised and appropriate support with a high degree of emotional intelligence, demonstrating compassion and sensitivity to those experiencing domestic abuse, mental health difficulties, suicidal thoughts, or other vulnerabilities.

Working in partnership with internal teams, statutory bodies, and voluntary services, you will collaborate to enhance the support available to clients.

You will assess client eligibility for SSAFA support using a detailed knowledge of SSAFA Regulations, conducting regular reviews to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.

You will work with a small team; Domestic Abuse Advisor, Housing Manager and Family Support worker who are both experienced and skilled.

The team are trained in Safeguarding, Domestic Abuse, Housing, Benefits and other associated topics. As a team they learn and support one another.

About you

You will have had experience in delivering domestic abuse and welfare support to others. You will also need to be technically competent as you will be required to use varied digital platforms and software.

About the Project

Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) has been awarded Hertfordshire’s CAMHS Early Help Digital Intervention Service (WithYOUth). The WithYOUth Service is an innovative partnership between BfB Labs and Hertfordshire Mind Network to provide a countywide digital service that is accessible to children and young people aged 5 – 18, at the earliest point of an emerging emotional wellbeing and/ or mental health need. The service will operate between 14:00 – 22:00 seven days a week.

Purpose of Post

As a CYP Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering this exciting service as part of a wider team, and whilst experience is advantageous, the most important thing to us and the children and young people we support is having the right values, skills and commitment to being part of this dynamic, new provision.

Our trauma-informed model offers a range of support options for CYP, based around digital interventions and supported by one-to-one and group sessions, so children and young people can engage in the way that works best for them. The service will build resilience in CYP by working with them to develop coping strategies and solutions that will enable them to improve their own health and wellbeing. We will also provide advice and guidance to parents/families/carers and professionals to provide a holistic response to supporting CYP and creating a network around them to empower and enable positive change.

To work with other professionals within the Family Safeguarding Team, to develop and deliver services to perpetrators and victims of domestic abuse in a timely manner. This includes case consultation to fully understand the dynamics of domestic abuse and the impact (using Safe & Together principles) on victims and children

The post-holder will work to empower and support all victims and survivors of domestic abuse to make positive choices and tackle the impact of abuse and neglect from within the family.

Contribute to the plan for the family through team discussions and supervision, manage and evaluate risk of offending, failure to protect, harm to self and others and the need for intervention to reduce abuse, coercive control and violence.

Keep records and update Capacity for Change Workbook and other colleagues in the team where appropriate. With due regard for service user consent, confidentiality, data protection and information sharing protocols.

We are currently recruiting for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Assistant Support Worker at Candlemas Mead in Beaconsfield.

This is a shared supported living house for six people aged between 48 and 65 years of age who each have their own en-suite room. Hoist training is required.

Working as part of a dedicated team, your role as an Assistant Support Worker is to provide appropriate support to service users with their day to day needs, within their own home, which may be in a supported living scheme or in the wider community. This may involve providing assistance with personal care and promoting life skills such as shopping, managing budgets and domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning. As an Assistant Support Worker you will follow agreed support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual`s needs, supports their aspirations and maximises their independence

About You

You do not need sector experience as we provide a structured induction and comprehensive training to support you with your role and you will have the opportunity to gain an accredited vocational qualification.

The Refugee Council supports separated children across England and part of our service is a team of staff based in Dover, working 24/7 to provide a temporary safeguarding service for children arriving there, ensuring that their basic needs are met while they await transfer to the care of a local authority. We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Floating Support Worker to join our Stopover Supported Housing team in Brighton & Hove.

Stopover provides the only female-specific supported housing for young women in Brighton & Hove and West Sussex. The service offers a pathway from high to low levels of support, giving young women aged 16–25 a safe and stable environment in which to rebuild their lives and move toward independence.

You will work primarily within our low-level support projects, supporting young women who have often experienced trauma, abuse, mental health challenges, and housing instability. Your role will be to build consistent, trusting professional relationships and support residents in developing confidence, life skills and resilience.

Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:

• Provide regular guidance, training and support including regular in person supervisory visits and other communications to Foster Carers
• Ensuring children are visited regularly and are included in TACT activities

Family Support Worker

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to deliver high-quality family support services as part of our Thames Valley Team.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social, and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
