This role involves managing key operational and governance functions, supporting the Executive Director and President, and ensuring the smooth running of various committees and Special Interest Groups (SIGs). The Executive Administrator will also assist with the ABN fellowship scheme.
Key Responsibilities of the Executive Administrator
Executive & Governance Support
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and President.

- Process and track expense claims for the Council and Executive team.

- Assist Governance & Grants Manager with the administration of the ABN Fellowship Programme, including maintaining records and supporting application and review processes.

Financial & Operational Support
- Ensure office supplies are maintained, including stationery and consumables
- Assist with financial administration, including processing expenses and payments.
- Liaise with finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Deputise for Website & Finance Officer in their absence
- Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting as required.
The ABN has a small office team, and all staff members are required to take on duties outside of their main job description from time to time.

The CouRAGEus project is a partnership between 12 leading organisations (WGN, Ashiana, IKWRO, London Black Women’s Project, Solace Women’s Aid, nia, Southall Black Sisters, Respond, Jewish Women’s Aid, Galop, Advance and Imkaan) in the VAWG sector established to provide advocacy, specialist mental health advocacy, counselling, VAWG awareness and well-being programs for minority young women and girls experiencing violence against women and girls, mental health and/or multiple disadvantages.
The post is currently funded until March 2027. In the role of Young Women and Girls Advocate you will hold a caseload of minoritised young women and girls aged 14-24 years old who have been subjected to sexual violence. You will work from a trauma-informed feminist framework, recognising multiple and overlapping oppressions. You will support those whose choose to report through the criminal justice process. In addition, the role involves providing broader support to young women and girls to address the multiple impacts of VAWG. The advocate will work with the wider young women’s team to deliver group work and prevention activities.

About the Organisation
The Grenfell 'Education Hub' will open later this year to serve those most affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The hub will provide educational support to children and young people, their families, and local schools.
A consultation process in 2023 and 2024 about the needs of the community and the bereaved and survivors led to proposals for an educational ‘hub’. Role Overview
Around 75% of your time will be devoted to securing funding from trusts and foundations. Responsibilities:

About the role
As one of two Regional Programmes Manager, you’ll inspire and lead a team of Senior Programmes Officers and Kinship Family Workers to effectively deliver high quality support services for kinship families across Greater London, the South of England and the Midlands.
You’ll do this by working in close collaboration with local authority teams who have commissioned our services and other funders where appropriate.
You’ll have accountability and ownership for ensuring we deliver impactful services for kinship carers and that we meet targets for our commissioned services. Working collaboratively with our other managers in other services, you’ll ensure we’re delivering high impact programmes.
You’ll ensure your team have real clarity and direction on their role and responsibilities - encouraging curiosity, learning and solutions-focused thinking. As a leader in the organisation, you are a key model for the team.
Your team will deliver the following programmes:
- Kinship Connected – in-person one-to-one support and support groups in the community
- Kinship Reach – remote one-to-one support and virtual support groups
- Kinship Ready – online workshops to prepare new and prospective special guardians for their role, as well as wraparound one-to-one support (in one local authority)
You will also manage a new role of Grants Officer - London, funded by the Aviva Foundation.
As one of our deputy safeguarding leads, you’ll be part of our key safeguarding structure. This means you’ll take ownership to make sure our people feel confident and well supported to demonstrate best practice and making sure safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:

Oversee the day-to-day running of programmes, supporting mostly home-based Senior Programmes Workers and Kinship Family Workers to ensure high quality, consistent and impactful programme delivery.

Work actively and positively with other managers within Kinship to ensure sharing of best practice, problem solving, relevant connections and consistency of delivery across England and Wales.

Essential requirements include:
- Substantial experience in managing a regional service or programme with high quality outputs (national experience desirable but not essential).
- Substantial experience of managing, developing and evaluating effective and innovative services for families experiencing crisis and experience in reaching ‘hidden communities’ and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
- Experience of leading and managing continuous improvement in changing contexts.
- Experience of governance and managing risk on high profile service delivery.
- Experience of ensuring that services are designed and led with user needs at the heart, ensuring that the voices of our kinship carers inform ongoing design and development of our programmes.
- High quality digital and data literacy and using technology to help us to be better in our processes. You’ll have to own Salesforce and be a massive champion for the team. You will be accountable for ensuring they use it well.
- Substantial experience of leading high-performing service teams including managing wellbeing, development and performance.

We have a hybrid approach to the way we work. Our Senior Executive Team meet with our Senior Leadership Team twice a month on a Monday. These meetings are face to face. One is in central London and one is at our Hatfield office. In addition, you will be required to attend at least four face to face organisational All Staff Together days which are predominantly in Hatfield, one directorate meeting a month in Hatfield, as well as attending the Hatfield office with the rest of the HR team one day a week. One to one’s will be face to face with direct line reports and your line manager once a quarter.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes.
