To deliver sessions to children, young people and their families that are diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions.

To support the development and delivery of bespoke programmes of support to children and young people and their families, under the guidance of the Service Delivery Manager.

As a practitioner, you will hold a caseload, will work as part of a team, undertaking assessments and delivering a range of evidence-based interventions for those on your caseload focused on neurodevelopmental conditions.

The service is underpinned by principles centred around THRIVE and Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies.

Key responsibilities

· Through a holistic approach, assess the needs and strengths of the referred child or young person and help them and their families identify and implement strategies that will support them, help them identify individual goals (through identification and implementation of strategies) to achieve desired change

· Deliver bespoke programmes of support, to families of children and young people diagnosed with or being assessed for neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autistic Spectrum Condition and/or ADHD. This could take the form of time limited 1:1 or group sessions or a blended approach depending on the needs presenting themselves

· Use creative, engaging approaches and own knowledge along with research-based methods and models to meet the emotional wellbeing needs of CYP

· Record and collect data with various tools and use this to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions

· To take responsibility for own caseload of children, young people and families some with complex and multiple needs

· To involve children, young people and their parents in the co-production of programmes, activities and services

· To keep accurate records of individual engagement, evidence of change and celebrate progress with children and young people

· To provide, record and report the appropriate data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated 

· To provide written case studies as evidence of the effectiveness of individual interventions

· To take responsibility for the more complex cases/situations presenting within the service

· To assist with the development and progression of the service by adhering to all communication requests and assisting with peer progression development when requested through case supervision

We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
• Produce detailed case records on our case management system for the purpose of continuity, statistical monitoring and report preparation
• Apply for funds from trusts and foundations to support individuals and families with essential costs such as housing deposits or white-goods and/or cancellation of debts;
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with external stakeholders for joined up working, including statutory and voluntary service providers, making referrals for guests where appropriate.
• Enable and support guests to act for themselves, wherever appropriate.
• Monitor the progression of all cases to the point of resolution.

Other Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the charity’s record of referral and signposting agencies;

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation

Our client is looking for an inspirational leader with the skill, energy, and enthusiasm to manage members of their Services Team delivering care advice and wellbeing support for care-experienced children and young people across England.

The Services Manager (Care Advice & Wellbeing Support) will lead development of their Care Advice Service supporting care-experienced children and young people to access their rights and experience increased wellbeing as they navigate care. The Care Advice Service currently includes a Care Advice Line, rights and entitlements workshops, care advice surgeries and online resources. About the role
As Head of Communications and Marketing you will lead the communications team to deliver a high-impact strategy to promote the work of the Foundation. You will manage the continuous evolution of the Foundation’s profile and brand, coordinating and delivering compelling content for a range of audiences across all channels. The role: Royal Navy Sports and Community Infrastructure Project Officer - full time/35 hours per week 

As a key member of the Greenwich Hospital and Andrew Simpson Foundation teams, you will be responsible for developing the RN “Building Sports and Well-being for the Future” vision into a costed, designed and persuasive community hubs plan, followed by its implementation as an effectively managed transformational project delivering high-quality sports and community hubs.

Based within the Andrew Simpson Foundation, the role will drive strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and scalable delivery aligned with RN priorities. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for a disciplined and visionary self-starter to turn a vision into reality. As well as working closely with the ASF and GH Charity teams, you will be liaising with relevant stakeholders in the Royal Navy, particularly base commanders and those responsible for delivering Navy sport and supporting the community.

Experience of life in the Forces is essential, while knowledge of the challenges of infrastructure management would be a strong advantage.

About Andrew Simpson Foundation 

A dynamic 10-year-old charity founded in memory of Olympian Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson MBE, the Andrew Simpson Foundation honours his memory by opening up the world of sailing and watersports to people, particularly young people, from all walks of life, changing lives, creating career pathways and providing opportunities that last a lifetime. 

This is a 2-year fixed term contract which may be extended. 

Hybrid working with work from ASF and GH offices as required. 

Initial salary: £60,000 per annum

Key tasks 

• Conduct a comprehensive review and evaluation of current Royal Navy sports and recreational facilities at HMNB Portsmouth and the Andrew Simpson Centre to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities. 

• Develop and oversee a scalable, data-driven infrastructure improvement plan that enhances access, participation, and operational effectiveness. 

• Position the Andrew Simpson Centre (Eastern Road) as a flagship water sports and community hub for service personnel, families, and partners, ensuring the facility meets world-class standards. 

• Coordinate with Royal Navy personnel, local authorities, and national sports organisations to gather insights, co-design solutions, and build sustainable partnerships. 

• Support the creation of a national expansion blueprint for Royal Navy sports infrastructure by developing replicable toolkits, delivery models, and frameworks for impact evaluation and knowledge sharing.
