We’re looking for a Freedom Volunteer Coordinator, who will be responsible for recruiting and supporting our volunteer foster carers, who play a critical role in helping people find freedom from domestic abuse.
About this role:
As Freedom Volunteer Coordinator, you will:
- recruit volunteer foster carers for the project, including handling queries from prospective volunteers, ensuring documentation is completed and supporting with training and induction,
- help with volunteer recruitment, such as attending recruitment events and supporting with virtual recruitment campaigns,
- support with ongoing management and retention of volunteer fosters, working with regional managers to ensure volunteering standards are maintained, and volunteers are recognised for their important contribution to our work,
- write regular communications to volunteers, including designing and producing promotional materials of the project.
This role is being offered as a fixed term contract for six months.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience of working with volunteers in previous role, ideally with experience of recruiting, inducting, and managing them. You’ll also need experience of home visiting and working in a public facing role, combined with a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills. Critically, this role requires an understanding of domestic abuse, and it’s impact on pet ownership, as well as the emotional resilience to manage the emotional demands of the role.

The Outreach team runs several projects supporting pet owners who are homeless or in housing crisis in the UK, including Freedom, a pet fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse. Most referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services. The service places dogs into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners are able to be reunited with them. The Freedom Project runs in Greater London and the Home Counties, Yorkshire, the North East, the North West, East Anglia, Scotland, Wales, and Hampshire.

Project Indigo maintains a youth-led and person-centred approach, with this role being developed in consultation with our members to address the barriers they face in accessing training and development opportunities.
We are seeking a Peer Mentoring Coordinator to develop and manage our new LGBTQIA+ Peer Mentoring Programme, training and supporting Project Indigo members to train as mentors and deliver mentoring sessions with younger LGBTQIA+ people in the local community. You will enrich Project Indigo’s holistic offer by providing young people with the opportunity to access training, qualifications and work experience while receiving high quality support tailored to their needs.
Off Centre is a service that provides a range of targeted mental health focused support services to young people aged 16 to 25 who registered with a City and Hackney GP. These include: individual, counselling and psychotherapy, individual and group art psychotherapy, key-work support, out of hours drop-in service on Thursday evenings, targeted provision for children and young people of African, Caribbean and mixed heritage (ACH), and an Information and Advice provision.
Main Responsibilities:
· You will develop and lead Project Indigo’s new Peer Mentoring Programme.
· You will understand young mentors’ needs and goals, and provide high quality supervisory support throughout the training and mentoring process.
· You will develop a structure for the Mentoring programme, consulting with relevant organisations, finding appropriate partners, and keeping accurate records to monitor progress for administrative and evaluative purposes.
· You will offer sensitive supervisory support to young LGBTQIA+ mentors, supporting their diverse need by maintaining an empathetic, intersectional and youth-led approach.

· You will be a confident communicator with proven experience of working in a supportive role with LGBTQIA+ young people[SR3] and/or evidence of in-depth knowledge of issues relating to LGBTQIA+ young people, in particular trans and gender diverse young people.

· You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to manage your time and workload effectively.

JOB PURPOSE

Innovation Fund administration
- Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations of the Innovations Fund

Our team in Greenwich work together to offer a range of support to promote wellbeing and help people to manage their mental health. Client needs shape our services and they are at the centre of all we do.
We are recruiting a Peer Support Coordinator to lead the development and delivery of Peer Support sessions and work with Peer Support Volunteers to develop new opportunities. Groups will be held at our Greenwich centre and at venues across the borough of Greenwich. We particularly want to increase engagement of under-served communities in Greenwich.
You will have experience of group development, collaborative working across service teams and an excellent understanding of service user engagement. You will be highly organised and ensure all client data is accurately entered into our Views database. All records of groups and activities will also be entered promptly onto the database. Additionally, you will complete all client Peer Support registrations to ensure client needs are assessed and positive outcomes are achieved through engagement with the Peer Support Services.

Age UK Westminster is seeking a Digital Inclusion Coordinator to join our home visiting digital inclusion team funded by Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust. The Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster Social Isolation project supports and enhances existing Older Adult Mental Health services provided by CNWL by providing targeted outreach digital inclusion support to vulnerable older people with the aim of reducing the impact of loneliness and isolation. We are looking for someone who has confident Digital Inclusion experience and ideally some experience of working with people living with dementia.
The role will include providing intensive coaching, support and troubleshooting with IT skills and equipment as well as working closely with Age UK Westminster’s other services including digital inclusion group sessions and dementia activities.
The role will demand a division of time in the office and in client’s home in Westminster.

As a Playground Coordinator you will be supporting disabled young people and their families by coordinating the delivery of an adventure play service at Lady Allen Playground. This is a great opportunity to develop your existing skills in a rewarding role and gain a strong sense of achievement.
Working context:
- You will be required to work variable/unsociable hours including evenings and Saturdays
- Based on playground sites outside of regular office hours
- You will be required to work from a second playground site (Chelsea Playground) on occasion
- Managing a flexible workforce
Key responsibilities:
- To manage and supervise staff in the provision of the service
- Brief staff effectively so they provide a positive play experience
- Make sure there is a programme of activities that provide children with choices and opportunity for different play and social activities
- Respond to and develop play episodes with children and other play practitioners
- Take responsibility for providing 1-1 support for children with a range of disabilities
- Keep written children records up to date and accurate
- Demonstrate and record that children are involved in the development and planning of the playground
- Effectively recruit and prepare play staff to undertake the requirements of the role
- Co-ordinate and take management responsibilities for external visits and outings
- To assist the Manager with the physical responsibilities of the playground including site inspections, maintenance, renewals and utilities.
- To be aware of the budgets and the management of them
- Make sure the playground meets regulatory requirements including Ofsted, H&S and Quality in Play.
- Liaise on operational level with relevant Local Authority officers
- Attend relevant regional and KIDs meetings
- Participation in your own supervision and Continuing Professional Development
- Within the post there is an agreed level of decision making responsibility in the delivery of the service especially in the absence of the Manager.
To be able to carry out this role it is essential that you have the following characteristics:
- Significant experience of working with disabled children in a play setting
- Knowledge of disabilities/ impairments and impact on child and family members
- Ability to engage and support children in a variety of play experiences without supervision
- Experience of implementing an activity programme
- Experience of coaching and mentoring sessional workers in areas of good practice
- Understanding of current Safeguarding processes
- Ability to work on your own and problem solve with little input from line managers
- The capacity to undertake, when required, the range of management, development, administrative and liaison duties.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Computer literate- good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Excellent range of communication skills with children, parents and other professionals.

Our Greenwich Counselling Service, including our culturally specific Asian service, has been offering free counselling to Greenwich borough residents for more than 40 years. It has grown organically from telephone counselling and crisis intervention to longer term and culturally specific counselling and relationship work. CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.
The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for providing families (parents/carers and children up to ten years) affected by cleft with opportunities to access accurate information, connect with each other and form supportive communities.
