The role will manage our communications, website and social media channels increasing engagement with key audience groups.

Our fundraising footprint and contacts are well established and very active and the successful candidate will benefit from intial support and induction of existing fundraiser.

The Welcome Centre is an independent charity providing crisis support in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. We run a large food bank operation providing practical support. We also have an in-house Advice, Guidance & Support team who work with the people accessing our food bank to help improve their longer term circumstances. Each year we support thousands of people in crisis in our community.  As Fundraising Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring we can provide the resources required.

We have a small friendly and committed staff team working across two sites in Huddersfield, supported by more than 100 volunteers. We rely on the generosity of our community and partners to support our work.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of the 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will involve working as part of a team providing 1st and 2nd line remote and on-site support to the services across London and a site in Berkshire. The ideal candidate for the 2nd Line IT Support Engineer role will have at least 3-6 years of experience in Windows Server and Desktop focused IT support. The position will be responsible for resolving day-to-day IT issues, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting a range of software and equipment across our network. . You will have strong expertise and the ability to provide rapid solutions and working flexibly in resolving and further investigating possible escalations. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Managing and maintaining computer hardware and software issues from logging to resolution, to ensure high levels of availability of the supported business  applications.
2. Liaising internally and externally with technical support companies and suppliers and working alongside the IT Manager and Application Support team, the role of 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will involve the following tasks:
3. Using the Helpdesk ticket logging system to facilitate Desktop/Remote Support.
4. Liaising with Support Companies to get issues fixed.
5. Configuring, installing and supporting any client hardware and software.
6. Configuring, installing and supporting mobile devices and internal phone systems.
7. Assisting with new user desk setups, desk moves and associated cabling.
8. Processing new and leaver’s accounts.
9. Maintaining Asset register of all IT equipment.
10. Managing, assessing, and reporting on project activities to meet deadlines.
11. Focus on solving customer’s problems, striving to understand their needs.
12. Be aware of the key IT and cyber risks, proactively operating to minimise these risks within the remit of the role, acting quickly to notify of any potential or  identified IT risks through the appropriate incidents and escalations process
13. Maintaining end-user computing solutions including physical desktops, mobile devices (laptops, tablets, smart phones), printers, and end-device security including remote access technologies.
14. To be a car driver and have access to a car during office hours and willing to drive between locations.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the Cathedral is a safe place for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults always. 

The role of Cathedral Safeguarding Officer (CSO) will be key to ensuring that all those involved in the life of the Cathedral, including cathedral staff and volunteers, are aware of and understand the safeguarding measures needed to ensure that Worcester Cathedral is an inclusive and safe place for all. 

It is both a proactive and responsive role, helping to strengthen our safeguarding culture, promoting best practice, supporting others to meet their safeguarding responsibilities, overseeing casework and responding swiftly and appropriately to any specific safeguarding concerns. The role will have both strategic and operational elements, helping to develop strategic plans for improving our safeguarding provision and taking the lead on ensuring that practical progress is made.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure the Cathedral’s governing body (the Chapter) and Senior Executive Team (SET) are supported in fulfilling their responsibilities as they relate to safeguarding. 

Respond to all safeguarding concerns and incidents, supporting victims and survivors, advising staff and volunteers, and overseeing safeguarding agreements. Be visible and accessible to cathedral staff and volunteers, helping them recognise, response, and properly record all concerns, and determining what referrals are necessary. Provide focussed support where there is frequent engagement with young people and vulnerable adults including: 

• The Welcome Team 
• Day Chaplains 
• The Music team 
• The Learning Team
• The Clergy
• Lay Readers, and 
• Other lay ministers 

To undertake casework as necessary, including: 

• Supporting individuals (and staff and volunteers involved) as required. 
• Undertaking risk assessments and safety plans and, with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), manage any allegations against staff and volunteers. 
• Keep casework records electronically, in line with the protocols and templates mandated by the Church of England or required by the DSA. 
• Undertake an annual review of safeguarding policies, practices and relevant documents e.g. Cathedral Safeguarding Handbook and advise the Chapter on developments in safeguarding practice and regulation
• Undertake safeguarding risk assessments, draw up safety plans and monitor implementation as required. 
• Collaborate with the People Administrator and Diocesan Safeguarding Team to ensure that appropriate and necessary training is delivered and documented for all staff and volunteers.
• Determine the training needs for all those who work in the cathedral (staff and volunteers), meeting the requirements of the Church of England and developing context-specific training for key roles. 
• Provide quarterly safeguarding reports to the Safeguarding Committee and other committees / groups and as required. 
• Lead on safeguarding projects on behalf of the Cathedral. 
• Co-ordinate the Cathedral’s response to Safeguarding Audits and other work required by the National Safeguarding Team (NST) or Church of England.

About You
You will have substantial experience in a safeguarding role previously.

Qualifications / Experience Required

• Proven experience of managing the delivery of effective safeguarding operations.
• Proven experience of managing complex safeguarding casework. 
• Experience of working at a strategic level, at least at middle manager level, influencing decision-making and implementation.
• Knowledge of the statutory framework, pertaining to safeguarding.
• The ability to communicate the importance of safeguarding to non-safeguarding audiences.
• Confidence to challenge senior leaders, to ensure best practice in safeguarding in all areas of the Cathedral's life.
• Curiosity about the complexity of the Cathedral, and the particular challenges and opportunities that creates good safeguarding practice.

What is the role?

This a 12 Month Maternity contract.

About the role:

We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) to be based at Luton & Dunstable Hospital this role will compliment the Hospital IDVA based at Bedford Hospital. This is a full-time post on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse predominately risk assessed as standard/medium to compliment our high risk service across Bedfordshire. This is a key role at the hospital working alongside the safeguarding team to ensure that victims of domestic abuse have access to appropriate support.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training to hospital staff and local partner agencies

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer to join the communications and fundraising team at Day One Trauma Support, could that be you?

The Role

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated person with a passion for volunteering and training who can aide in helping to build and sustain a solid and quality framework for the volunteering and workforce training provision at Mind BLMK.

The successful candidate will aide in the creation and administration of cohesive processes and systems for workforce training and in ensuring that Mind BLMK increases its engagement of volunteers, which will include establishing community links and supporting the organisation’s vision and values.

Key Duties

• Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and mapping of Mind BLMK’s current workforce training offer, helping to identify gaps in provision (e.g. through staff appraisals, supervisions etc.), evaluate alternative solutions and making recommendations for effective and impactful training pathways as needed for all staff and volunteers.
• Continue the ongoing audit of existing staff and volunteer training records and maintain the framework for storing and reviewing staff and volunteer training records.
• Monitor and develop if necessary the monitoring system that shows staff and volunteers are completing the training required for their role and taking action when gaps are identified.
• Manage the staff training inbox and coordinate the administrative aspects of the training cycle, such as scheduling, booking, invoicing, and reporting.
• Promote and support the value of volunteering within Mind BLMK and with external organisations.
• Continue to review and monitor all existing volunteer roles on an ongoing basis to ensure an effective volunteer contribution in line with contractual obligations where appropriate is maintained across all departments.
• Aide managers with procedures for designing volunteer roles, managing enquiries, applications, interviews, references, DBS checks and provide a supportive oversight of each candidate’s volunteering cycle.
• Support the induction of volunteers ensuring they are positively onboarded into Mind BLMK and understand the culture, values, and code of conduct.
• Ensure processes are in place for all volunteers to receive training and regular one to one support by the appropriate person.
• Facilitate and manage meetings with volunteers and project staff as appropriate.
• Be responsible for ensuring the volunteer database and administrative tasks, including monitoring, and recording in relation to these duties is kept up to date.
• Support the recruitment of volunteer trustees.

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners are aged between 16-25 years, have some level of additional need and as a result have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).  Some of the most common areas of need that our learners experience are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.

• To be responsible for a caseload of learners with EHCP's aged 16-25 years

The Role

The Mental Health Support Worker will provide flexible, practical, holistic, and accessible support to Gypsies and Travellers across West Yorkshire to improve and promote mental wellbeing.
