Main Responsibilities:

• Receiving deliveries and support the team to ensure the stock monitoring and management process is followed all the time. 
• Ensure the Pantry 'shop floor' is kept well stocked and well presented. 
• Meet and greet customers visiting the Pantry in a warm and friendly way that promotes Pecan's values of Kindness, Belief and Hope. 
• Support the Pantry Manager to manage the ongoing operation of Peckham Pantry. 

Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):

• Experience of food-based stock control systems and knowledge of food hygiene. 
• Physical fitness, tha ability to stand for long periods, and move stock. Able-bodied, owing to the physical demand of the role. 
• Good IT skills, with a working knowledge of MS Office applications. 
• Highly organised, methodical and a good multitasker. 
• A team player, and able to work once a week in the evening on our monthly rota and on the occassional Saturday. 

Desirable knowledge/expertise

• Experience working or volunteering in a charity or community organisation.
• Knowledge of the food poverty sector.

About the role:

We are looking for an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA). This is a full time role on fixed term contract. Hybrid working would be available for this role. The aim of this role is to support victims of domestic abuse who live in Central Bedfordshire. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Bedfordshire.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training
• Supporting the Daily Domestic Abuse meeting in the IFD (Integrated Front Door), which discusses all medium/standard risk referrals that have come in over the previous 24 hours and agrees on the most appropriate source of advice and support for the family.
• Attending the BRiF meetings weekly where community partners bring concerns about family's they are working with including concerns about standard/medium domestic abuse.
• Professional point of contact for the IFD and Adult Safeguarding teams (also based at Priory House).
• Point of contact for any concerns staff have about their own relationships and dynamics of domestic abuse they need support with

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

As Training Officer, you will:

Be responsible for planning and delivering training and awareness-raising activities in relation to victims of crime in the Thames Valley.

You will deliver these to a range of audiences including Thames Valley Police, Criminal Justice agencies, educational facilities, community groups, and other statutory agencies and third sector organisations. Each training session will be tailored to your audience and some examples of training topics you will be focusing on are:

• Victim awareness (barriers to support, information on the Victims Code, promoting empathy and sensitivity etc.).
• Sexual Violence awareness
• Modern Slavery and Exploitation

The training will be delivered under the Thames Valley Victims First brand and you will spread awareness of how support can be accessed and what is available through your sessions.

You will lead on developing this new content for training in collaboration with the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley. You will be consulting with stakeholders on their training needs and mapping emerging areas where further input is required. As part of the role, you will be responsible for developing the range of training programmes and keeping training materials up to date. You will maximise the use of social media accounts for training and will attend events and presentations to engage the local community and increase their knowledge on support for victims of crime. You will also work alongside both the RJ facilitator and volunteers in this area.

You will need to be able to work flexibly to accommodate the training requirements as well as experience of delivering presentations and structured training programmes and talks to a range of audiences. You will need to be IT literate and be effective with your communication.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. If you are unable to drive because of a disability please indicate this in your application in your personal statement so we can explore the feasibility of alternative arrangements. Travel will be required regularly across the Thames Valley in order to facilitate training development and delivery. About the role

We have exciting opportunities for Advocates to join our team covering Essex. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as hospitals and care homes across the area to meet with clients and professionals and be home based for administration; therefore, a suitable home internet connection is essential.

How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community. 

When you need to travel for work, expenses will be paid (mileage or public transport costs).  

VoiceAbility offers the usual regular manager one to ones, Staff forums and communities of practice depending on role. Team meetings with a mix of virtual and in person approach.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Response are looking for an enthusiastic & creative individual to join our Communication & Fundraising team as Senior Digital Marketing Manager. The Senior Digital Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of Response’s social media strategies, overseeing both paid and organic content to raise awareness of the organisation’s work, connect with key stakeholders, and drive digital fundraising. As part of a small, dynamic team of five, including the Associate Director of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, and two Communications and Digital Marketing Officers, and a PR consultant the postholder will play a central role in enhancing our digital presence, delivering results-focused campaigns, and supporting the broader communications and fundraising goals of Response.

The Governance and Risk Officer (GRO) will provide support to the Head of Governance & Risk by providing administrative and organisational support in all areas of governance and risk by implementing and maintaining risk assurance activities, including the corporate risk registers, policy management, contract review and internal audit delivery.

Details of the role

Location

A significant portion of the work will be conducted in London-based partner schools, requiring the ability to travel regularly. There may also be a limited number of residential weeks with young people throughout the year. To fulfil the requirements of this role, there may be occasional in-person touchpoints with the team outside of London, for which reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed.
