This position will be split between two services, 4 days at "Wandsworth and Richmond" and the remaining day at "South London and Maudsley"

Advocacy is having someone by your side, and on your side, when you want to be more involved in decisions about your care, treatment and living arrangements. An advocate can stand by you, and stand up for you, when important decisions are being made about your care, treatment and the way you live your life. They can help you understand your rights and options, and then support you in expressing your views and wishes to the relevant services. They can also speak up on your behalf if that’s what you want. People often work with an advocate when they’re going through some kind of assessment or review of their care or treatment.
How you will make a difference
As well as providing independent advocacy and holding a caseload, I will provide line management to a team of multi-disciplinary advocates within the service. I will provide leadership and management support to that team and be accountable for motivating them to deliver a high-quality service, whilst working to maintain the Advocacy Quality Performance Mark standards. I will support advocates to be accountable for managing the day-to-day delivery of advocacy to their clients, ensuring they take responsibility for managing their caseload and delivering positive outcomes for clients accessing the service. I will lead the team to ensure Rethink CARES is embedded in the service and in the delivery of the service to ensure a positive working culture is maintained.

• All staff and volunteers within the service
• Service users and user groups
• Community partners and voluntary sector groups
• Strategic partners within the local authority and NHS Trust
• Staff across all Rethink Advocacy services

We are looking for an Immigration Advisor to provide tailor-made advice to individual clients and to engage them in the process of making informed choices about their future direction. This is an exciting role in our Immigration Team that will work closely with the team to ensure that the centre is able to provide confidential advice and representation, whilst providing support and training to colleagues. We are passionate about defending the rights of our clients and you will be joining a team that achieve great results. The role is pivotal in providing highly skilled legal advice and representation to vulnerable clients across London at no cost to the individual. This is particularly important at a time where free or low-cost advice is becoming harder to find.
If you have the IAAS senior caseworker accreditation, you will be a key advisor with regards to Legal Aid work, including prioritising Legal Aid cases and ensuring that Legal Aid is used whenever appropriate throughout the team.

Overall purpose
Your primary responsibility will be to lead Breaking Barriers’ employment programme in Birmingham and the West Midlands, and support the Senior Employment Services Manager and Director of Services in ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency in the support we provide to clients.
Working closely with the Senior Employment Services Manager, you will take ownership of delivery within this region and lead on the delivery of the contract, including maintaining effective external stakeholder relationships and providing accurate and timely reporting. You will line manage and support a team of Employment Advisers (“Advisers”), enabling them to provide high-quality support to clients and coordinate the day-to-day operational activity which keeps our programmes running.
You are a highly organised and effective worker who knows when to adopt a creative approach and when to follow the established process. You will have an empathetic manner, be willing to go the extra mile to support clients and be proactive in looking for ways to improve our service. Lived experience would be helpful but is not essential.
In addition to exceptional people skills, you will be a strong communicator and possess meticulous attention to detail. You will be confident working autonomously, helped by excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and cope with interruptions.
You should have at a demonstrable track record of transferrable work experience in coordinating service delivery, projects or programmes, or another relevant field. Equally important is a demonstrable commitment to working with marginalised populations who face barriers to employment, particularly refugees. A strong interest in employability support and experience delivering employment programmes or careers advice would be a strong advantage.

We are seeking up to three new Assistant Properties Workers to help us develop warm, sustainable homes alongside volunteers and tenants. It’s a very special, specific role at Canopy… part eco-builder, part teacher, part support worker, so full on-the-job training is provided for all successful applicants.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to manage the Core Service, our largest multi channel advice activity. The Core Service is mostly delivered by volunteers, the appreciation and encouragement of whom is imperative. Equally imperative is ensuring that advice delivery meets regulatory, funder and internal standards.
As with everything we do, the Core Service must remain responsive to changes in the community’s advice needs, and also to how the community needs that advice to be delivered (for example the introduction of new channels or delivery points). The post holder will therefore listen well, foster an appetite and readiness for change in our people, and be persistent. In terms of day to day service delivery, they will thrive in the following environment (and support others to do the same); unpredictability, clients in difficult situations, multiple advice subjects, and incoming referrals arriving from different partners and channels.
