Street Child is a global education and child protection NGO whose mission is to ensure that every child can be safe, in school and learning, with a focus on low-resource and crisis contexts where education is disrupted by conflict, climate disaster, disease, displacement and / or extreme poverty.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic professional based on the East Coast to both drive high-impact new business from corporations and major donors and build our visibility and external communications to support that goal. This is a hybrid role, balancing strategic digital marketing, brand-building and media engagement with income generation, deepening existing relationships with key stakeholders, establishing new partnerships and increasing our visibility.
This is a new position for Street Child, complementing our existing presence on the West Coast. The successful candidate will need to be a strong all-rounder, able to excel in a variety of work areas, although the role will work closely with and be supported by global communications, marketing and corporate fundraising teams, with existing strategies, materials and platforms to leverage and tailor to a US audience.
While this role is not office-based, the successful candidate will be located in or around NYC or DC.
Key Responsibilities:
Major Gift Fundraising (50%)
- Identify, cultivate, and secure partnerships with corporations and major donors, aligning their CSR goals and giving priorities with our mission.
- Leverage existing partnerships and relationships with corporations and major donors to grow a wider network of US-based corporations.
- Develop and manage sponsorship opportunities for campaigns, programs and events.
- Oversee all corporate engagement activities, including employee giving, volunteering and cause marketing campaigns.
- Develop and deliver corporate events to build relationships with and raise funds from our developing network of US-based corporations.
- Collaborate with corporate partners to enhance their internal communications strategies, driving awareness and engagement among their employees around shared initiatives.
- Craft compelling proposals, pitches and presentations for potential partners.
- Steward relationships successfully to ensure long-term impact and retention.
- Track partnership impact, prepare reports and communicate successes to internal and external stakeholders including funding partners and Street Child’s Board of Directors.
- Identify & cultivate new prospects among individuals and corporations.
Communications & Marketing (50%)
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications and digital marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
- Drive digital marketing campaigns across key channels, leveraging analytics to optimize performance.
- Lead content creation efforts, including blogs, case studies, impact stories, newsletters and press releases.
- Build and execute a strategy for growing Street Child’s share of voice in the sector, engaging with media and industry influencers.
- Work with external web developers to manage and enhance website content, SEO and UX to improve engagement and conversion.
- Monitor trends, conduct competitor analysis, and identify opportunities to position Street Child as a thought leader.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong track record of securing major gifts ($100,000+) from corporations and individuals, including strategic partnerships, sponsorships and events.
- High-level strategic thinking and planning.
- Experience in a similar role across fundraising and marketing.
- Proven success in driving digital marketing strategies, growing brand awareness, and managing media relations.
- Excellent storytelling skills with experience in content creation, social media management and PR, and media connections.
- Experience using digital tools such as Google Analytics, email marketing platforms and social media management tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to prepare and publicly present materials.

The 999 Club is a small charity doing big things with local people facing homelessness. For over 30 years we’ve been in the heart of Deptford providing warm welcomes and wraparound services ensuring those who need us are given the best chance of leaving homelessness behind for good.
Our Gateway Drop-In Centre offers nutritious meals, laundry and medical facilities, showers, IT access, phone charging , a safe space to rest and a dedicated Women’s Sanctury.
When members feel ready, our team of expert staff are on hand to support them into suitable accommodation where possible, secure income via paid work or benefits, and provide immigration signposting for those who need it. Once housed, our Move+ programme continues to work with them to ensure they settle into new accommodation with the knowledge, skills, community and hope required to thrive in their new life.
We also run The Bridge, a free six-week evening mental health course open to anyone in the community experiencing mental distress. The programme provides a practical toolkit to support long-term mental wellbeing.
JOB OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES
This newly created role will play a vital role in advancing 999 Club’s ambitious plans to enhance its status, reputation, and support among both existing and wider audiences. At this pivotal moment in the charity’s history, the postholder will work closely with the Head of Fundraising and Communications and the Members’ Committee to co-develop and implement a bold new communications and marketing strategy.
Building on last year’s extensive rebrand, this role will ensure that the voices of those with lived experience remain central to the organisation’s messaging and identity. A key focus will be strengthening internal and external communication, uniting our diverse membership—which includes staff, clients, volunteers, trustees, and supporters—while also reaching new audiences through social media, direct marketing, PR, and media outreach.
A major priority will be the relaunch and expansion of the 999 Club’s Membership Scheme and Patrons Programme, designed to deepen awareness and support for 999 Club across Southeast London and beyond. Underpinning these efforts, the postholder will manage the Donorfy CRM database and ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of our WordPress website.

About Aspens
Aspens is a charity that provides high-quality person-centred care and support to individuals on the autism spectrum and with learning disabilities, and their families. We provide an integrated network of services and support across the South-East to empower individuals to lead their lives as independently as possible.
We support children, families and adults across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey and the London Borough of Bexley. Our services include registered care homes, supported living, community outreach, day services, children and young people’s groups and support, specialist support, and online support for families and carers across the South-East.
Aspens has three charity shops in Bexhill, Crowborough and Paddock Wood and online stores on eBay, Etsy and Vinted. We also have The Bluebell Café and animal farm and a pre-loved donations centre in Pembury.
Purpose of Role
This role will work with direction from the Marketing and Communications Manager to deliver marketing campaigns to raise awareness of and promote Aspens’ services, income-generation activities including fundraising, retail and hospitality, and recruitment; engage with our internal and external stakeholders; and reach new audiences. A key part of the role will be internal ‘customer’ support, collaborating with departments across the charity to meet shared goals in line with Aspens’ strategic objectives.

Fundraising and Finance:

Purpose
The Marketing Assistant is a varied role, working primarily in our Supporter Relations team, but also supporting other areas of the Fundraising and Communications team.
The primary focus of this position is to provide an excellent customer experience for CBM supporters so that every interaction is carried out with excellence, integrity and efficiency. This will help to create and be part of a supporter experience that develops and maintains long-term relationships with dedicated individuals and churches across the UK. The Marketing Assistant will ensure supporters feel valued and engaged with CBMs work.
On a day-to-day basis the position holder will be engaging with supporters by phone, email and writing, in responding to a wide range of enquiries, and carrying out administrative activities associated with marketing campaigns, donations, fundraising events and requests for materials.
The successful applicant requires strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as confidence to make outbound phone calls to build relationships, thank supporters, to share updates on our work, and ask for donations to build relationships, grow supporter engagement and maximise long-term income.
The position is part of a dedicated and enthusiastic Fundraising and Communications team, and part of this role is to provide additional administrative support to the wider team, specifically in areas such as 121 supporter communications to fundraisers doing events, churches, and legacy and in memoriam supporters.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inbound enquiries (40%)
Respond to the needs of CBM supporters and the public through the handling of inbound calls and emails in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
This includes:
a. Taking and processing donations over the telephone.
b. Handling requests, feedback and complaints in a respectful and timely manner, and offering solutions when appropriate.
c. Updating supporter records on the Customer Relationship Management system (currently Salesforce) and carrying out mail or email follow-up when required.
d. Responding to emails in the giving inbox, directing queries appropriately and maintaining organised records of communication.
e. Co-ordinating and responding to comments made on CBM’s social media platforms.
2. Outbound 121 communications (30%):
Carry out outbound calls to potential and existing supporters to inspire donations and explain over the telephone how support will transform lives, following set briefs and guidelines, but when applicable engaging supporters in conversation in a non-scripted approach. This includes:
a. Regular outbound calls and emails include thanking and stewardship communications, asking for support by Direct Debit, clarifying Gift Aid statuses, and discussing the possibility of supporting the charity in a Will.
b. Update the outcome of calls on supporter records on the CRM system.
c. Process donations made over the phone, carrying out mail or email follow-up when required, using existing materials and letter templates.
d. Refer follow up actions that are outside of the team’s remit to the relevant team or individual.
e. Contribute to the creation and development of guidelines for in- and out-bound telephone conversations.
3. Additional administrative duties (30%):
Perform a variety of other administrative tasks to support the wider fundraising team:
a. Data inputting, preparation and reports.
b. Updating and proofing fundraising materials.
c. Supporting speaker and church coordination when required.
d. Co-ordinating the stock and the distribution of supporter materials and fundraiser resources.
e. Mailing out church packs, thank you letters, and personalised communications, such as handwritten cards.
f. Liaise with colleagues and attend meetings to ensure up-to-date knowledge of CBM’s work.
