The HR & Administration Assistant will support the HR team in providing an efficient and streamlined service to WHAG for all HR-related administrative tasks. This role has a wide remit which includes the efficient and effective smooth running of WHAG’s HR functions enabling WHAG services to be delivered and being an effective team member, You will act as an integral part of the HR Team offering support to the wider organisation.

WHAG is a leading charity delivering quality support services to vulnerable homeless women, young parents and women men and their families who are affected by domestic abuse, across the of North West England. Improving the safety and life opportunities of the people who use our services and supporting them in their recovery.

We support the people we work with to overcome the experiences they have had. We empower them to build up the skills and resources they need to take control of their own lives, access a tenancy of their own and maintain a quality of life in the long term. We give them the information they need to make positive choices about their futures.

As well as delivering courses to our staff WHAG delivers Healthy relationship training to employers and schools to assist in the education and prevention of Domestic abuse.

This is an exciting opportunity to support and develop the work of the Christian Funders’ Forum (CFF).  We are looking for an experienced coordinator with excellent relationship skills to continue to support and grow the membership of the CFF to enable the group to deliver on its mission to live and share Christ’s love through supporting each other and serving the Christian charitable sector.

The ideal candidate will possess administrative, digital, and social media expertise alongside the interpersonal skills needed to champion a positive, engaging membership culture to foster learning, sharing and collaboration.

You’ll be responsible for communication with members from both the Chairs and Executive CFF groups to coordinate meetings, ad-hoc training, and networking events. You will keep the intranet hub content rich and the website up to date to nurture the membership community.

About this role

We are pleased to advertise for a Head of Death Penalty Projects- US to oversee our work against the death penalty in the United States of America. 

Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.

The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.

Contract, location and salary

The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance.Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home. There is the opportunity for international travel in the role.

Background

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. We have just finalised our new Global Strategy for 2024-30, which will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from leprosy and LF.

Job Context

It is an exciting time to be coming into Lepra as we currently celebrate our organisation’s Centenary year this year. In 2023 we underwent a strategic review and developed our new 6-year global strategy to re-establish our work into the future. We are using our Centenary year in 2024 as a springboard to launch our new strategic period. Our new strategy will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from disability and discrimination.

Our Finance and Operations team plays a critical role in supporting the wider Lepra UK team with our finance and HR function delivering and supporting on all finance management processes and HR related support at all levels.  The Finance and Operations team has experienced staffing changes this year and with some staff looking to work part-time, an assistant position has become available to support both the Finance & Administration Lead and the HR and Executive Support Assistant Manager as well as the need for support with our office move.

Job Purpose

To support the Finance and Operations team which includes the HR function as well as coordinating the upcoming office move and facilities operations.

Working Relationships

→ For the initial six months you will report into the Director of Finance and Operations.

→ Working with all of Lepra UK on all matters regarding HR, Operations and Finance.

→ Close working links and collaboration with the Finance & Operations team consisting of Finance & Operations Director, Finance Manager, HR & Executive Support Assistant Manager and Finance & Administration lead.

Key Responsibilities

Premises and Facilities Management

→ Point of contact for office queries from tenants and Octagon Management company and co-ordinate any necessary contractors (stock kitchen, keep shredding bins filled for collection).

→ Clear and sort any items in the loft storage area as required

→ Act as Fire Marshall

→ Collect and sort post

→ Point of contact for all Lepra UK staff regarding office bookings and office use

Finance

→ Logging all donations on CRM system including gift aid administration

→ Running any required reports

→ Payroll support

HR and Administration

→ Sending out appropriate induction email template to all new starters

→ Ordering any IT equipment or arranging current IT equipment for new starters to be configured and for IT to be couriered to new starter/ liaise with IT provider as required

→ Setting up induction training on our online training portal

→ Assisting in arranging induction meetings for new starters

→ Assist with travel and accommodation for colleagues and any visitors / Trustees

→ Arrange for printing and sending on any mailings to staff members

→ IT starters and leavers administration

Recruitment

→ Assisting in the formatting of job descriptions

→ Arranging for job advertisements to be sent to various recruitment advertisers and Lepra website

→ Liaising with Universities regarding intern/volunteer recruitment

General

→ This role sits within a busy finance and operations team which deals with Finance, Human Resources, IT, Governance and premises/facilities. In period of team staff absences, you will be expected to cover work tasks as appropriate

→ If you have spare capacity you will be expected to undertake any reasonable tasks within the team

Role Summary:

As the Corporate Partnerships Lead, you will be responsible for developing and managing a successful corporate fundraising strategy that maximises income from existing and new partnerships. You will, deliver innovative campaigns, securing multi-year partnerships, and manage key relationships to support our life-saving work.

Strategy and Planning

• Work closely with the Corporate, Community, and Events Fundraising Manager to develop and implement a sustainable Corporate Partnerships Strategy.
• Create short, medium, and long-term activity plans, budgets, and forecasts for corporate fundraising.
• Regularly review and refine the corporate partnership proposition to align with the charity’s mission and market trends.

Corporate Fundraising & Relationship Development

• Lead the development of new business engagement plans, identifying and cultivating new corporate prospects and relationships.
• Implement ambitious new business campaigns targeting priority industries, overseeing prospecting and marketing efforts.
• Manage the new business pipeline, ensuring effective prospect data management in the CRM system.
• Proactively network and attend relevant events to identify partnership opportunities and represent the charity.
• Develop and implement corporate base visits, events, and corporate engagement programmes at the charity's HQ.

Account Management

• Lead the account management of existing corporate partnerships, ensuring partners receive high-quality stewardship and service, with support from the Corporate, Community and Events Officer.
• Develop and implement a segmented stewardship programme that maximises donor retention and engagement.
• Work with the corporate partners to deliver impact reports and meet agreed KPIs.
• Provide high-quality written communications, pitches, and reports tailored to the needs of each partner.
• Create a tiered recognition programme for corporate partnerships, ensuring clear partner visibility and acknowledgment.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Support

• Work cross-organisationally to ensure other teams are aligned with corporate partnership initiatives and aware of their progress.
• Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing teams to promote events and corporate activities, ensuring consistent and impactful external communication.

Reporting and Evaluation

• Track, monitor, and report on corporate partnership performance, delivering monthly and ad hoc reports with analysis and insights to inform decision-making.
• Provide end-of-year reviews for multi-year partnerships, ensuring the effectiveness and impact of the relationships are clearly communicated.
• Ensure all corporate fundraising activities comply with fundraising and data protection regulations.

About You:

• Proven experience in corporate fundraising, business development, or corporate partnerships management.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience creating and delivering fundraising strategies, with a track record of securing five-figure partnerships.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask, manage projects, and meet deadlines.
• Proactive, results-driven mindset with a creative approach to problem-solving.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
• Experience with CRM systems like Donorfy.
• Fundraising qualifications or equivalent experience.
