Key responsibilities include leading and overseeing all aspects of the charity’s welfare and grant services. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ management experience, with a strong understanding of the UK & Ireland benefits system to ensure charitable support complements statutory support. Significant financial competence is crucial, alongside a background in evaluating and administering grants to individuals in a fair, transparent, and accountable manner.

You must be an analytical problem-solver, who can apply business analysis skills to evaluate, streamline, and simplify complex processes and procedures improving efficiency and accessibility, keeping beneficiaries’ needs at the heart of operations. Outstanding interpersonal skills are crucial - with a proven track record in supporting people in need (e.g., due to health, financial, or mental health challenges) with sensitivity and confidentiality.

Summary and key purpose 

This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care. 

Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week. 

A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.

Your expertise and skills: 

To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.

Key responsibilities: 

• Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
• Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.
• Manage our newly appointed fundraising agency, and in doing so, help deliver an ambitious appeal programme and income target.
• Review and develop operational plans for individual giving (including regular giving, in memory, digital fundraising and appeals) working to achieve agreed targets.
• Communicate and document key performance indicators across individual giving appeals. Ensuring you provide commentary to accompany results reporting, drawing on insights and the wider picture to add context and make recommendations from your learnings.
• Work with the fundraising agency and RABI communications team to produce and edit appropriate collateral.
• Devise and deliver supporter communications, including stewardship activity, welcome journey content and appeal communications. 
•  Help ensure that we comply with legal and compliance requirements including industry best practice, GDPR/PECR regulations and the CIOF code of Fundraising Practice. 
• Develop and maintain good working relationships and liaison with other members of RABI staff.
• Take part and contribute to team meetings.

About the role:

We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs, relationship building and wellbeing. Situated in the middle of Horsham, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our Horsham Y team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Safety and security

• Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house welcome to residents, visitors and staff, and ensure the building is safe, secure quiet and welcoming 
• Maximise the wellbeing of residents and visitors by ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and house rules, all within the terms of tenancy agreements
• Assess and monitor the risks presented by residents to ensure they can keep themselves safe and, where possible, continue their development
• Record all incidents and accidents and share appropriately with the wider team, your manager and, if necessary, the central safeguarding team 

Engagement with residents

• Welcome residents home and provide informal and responsive support so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure resident’s views, aspirations, concerns, and ideas are sought so they can play an active role in influencing the services they receive
• Proactively promote the services on offer and ensure residents are encouraged to engage with those services
• Contribute to, or support, evening groupwork activities so that residents can access tailored solutions that meet their needs, wishes and aspirations

Administration and housekeeping

• Undertake tasks as directed, including but not limited to: inputting data, assessments, reviews, case notes onto our client database and entering new residents details/closing ex-resident records
• Completing health and safety/compliance checks, and recording estate inspectors and room checks
• Adding maintenance requests to our property services system

General

• Work as part of a team, on a rota four on four off shift pattern, alongside another Housing Night Worker, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective at night, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to work lone work, work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team
• IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office 365 package, as well as healthy and safety and client management systems (training on YMCA DLG systems provided)
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately

Woman’s Trust is looking for an interim Senior Communications Consultant to support the delivery of our ambitious organisational strategy, and our goal to ensure more survivors of domestic abuse have access to the mental healthcare they need.

We are looking for someone with a minimum of five years’ senior media relations experience within the VAWG or mental health sectors. This is essential as we work at the intersection of both policy areas and need someone who understands the unique position that puts us in, in terms of the services we provide and our expertise.

We are looking for someone proactive, with a keen eye for uncovering news stories within an organisation and spotting opportunities to respond to issues in the media or more widely.

Applicants must also be able to demonstrate they have secured recent print and broadcast press coverage and that they have experience supporting vulnerable survivors with media work.

The priorities will be to:

• Generate media coverage using case studies, data, research, spokespeople and in response to the news agenda (newsjacking)
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists
• Support senior staff and domestic abuse survivors with media work and speaking at events
• Review and update our website
• Monitor, manage and engage with communities proactively and reactively across our social media channels, including creating content
• Support the development of a communications strategy to underpin the organisational strategy
• Provide senior communications counsel and advice to the CEO, Chair and Senior Leadership Team

You will need experience of delivering frontline services, supporting adults from diverse backgrounds with multiple and complex needs and/or multiple disadvantages. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of Manchester based services and community assets, be able to represent Shelter externally and have an appreciation of the barriers and personal difficulties faced by people accessing local services. Proactive, creative, and collaborative in your approach, you will have great relationship building skills, a flair for leading change and the confidence to challenge the status quo.  You will also have demonstrable experience of working with volunteers and co-production to make decisions.

Hospital Liaison Team Leader

Location: London, N15 6HR (You will be required to travel between locations, North Middlesex University Hospital and Whittington)

The Role

HAGA is seeking a compassionate and motivated Hospital Liaison Team Leader to join their dedicated team. This is a non-clinical role that plays a vital part in bridging the gap between clients accessing their alcohol services and those receiving hospital care—whether through emergency admission at A&E or ongoing treatment for other health conditions.

Primarily based at North Middlesex University Hospital, the role will also involve occasional travel to other hospitals within their localities to ensure consistent support for clients wherever they may present. The position is co-located between hospital settings and their Seven Sisters Road office, promoting strong integration and continuity of care.

You’ll manage a small, committed team and take responsibility for maintaining effective communication pathways between hospital staff and the service. Often, you’ll be the first point of contact for clients in clinical environments—offering reassurance, understanding, and practical support when they are feeling vulnerable and uncertain.

You will assess appropriate referral pathways, both within HAGA and with external services, while maintaining regular communication with both hospital teams and staff at the main office. You’ll oversee and coordinate this essential pathway to ensure seamless, person-centred care.

Skills and Qualifications

While team leader experience is desired, it is not essential. They welcome applicants with experience in the Substance Use field and/or hospital settings, as well as those with transferable skills suited to this role.

The successful candidate should also be open to working occasional evening hours if service demand indicates a future need for increased flexibility.
