Hospital Liaison Worker

The Role

Using a caring, compassionate and trauma informed approach you will be engaging with individuals who have been admitted to hospital and have a substance use support need. You will deliver a range of interventions including advice, harm reduction and structured psycho-social interventions. You will work closely alongside colleagues within the hospital to ensure that appropriate support is offered to all those in need.

The post will work within the Likewise alcohol and other drug service to establish a high quality hospital liaison service for patients; ensuring and providing appropriate assessments, interventions and co-developing multi-agency discharge plans and pathways to reduce relapse and hospital readmission. 

Based within the local hospitals, the post will ensure effective communication with relevant hospital departments (e.g. Mental Health, Hepatology & Gastroenterology, A&E, Maternity) and externally with Together and other community services (e.g. GPs, outreach, housing and community justice services). 

The post will provide advice, guidance and training to healthcare professionals in recognition, treatment & management of alcohol and other drug related problems, including the delivery of brief interventions. 

As a Hospital Liaison Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Attending hospital ward rounds and maintaining good communication with hospital staff.
• Responding to hospital liaison referrals from within the hospital.
• Delivering interventions to clients face-to-face and over the phone.
• Working autonomously to manage a caseload of their service users, including delivering a range of psychosocial interventions. 
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to undertake ongoing assessments, risk assessments, and appropriate referrals within the community

About the role 

As one of our Senior Marketing Managers in the Brand team, you will be at the forefront of delivering the integrated Christmas campaign for 2025. This campaign is crucial in inspiring more people to engage with and support the BHF’s life-changing, life-saving work.

You will oversee the expert delivery of our brand messages and the application of our visual identity across all communications charity-wide. You will challenge agencies, partners, and in-house teams to create integrated and inspiring work that showcases the power of the BHF brand. 

With a deep understanding of the charity, its strategies, objectives, brand challenges, and project priorities, you will contribute to briefs, develop creative ideas, and provide feedback to agencies and campaign leads. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, as you will help leverage, manage, and integrate key partners, including agencies and teams across the organisation, to increase income through established fundraising and brand initiatives. 

This role is essential in helping BHF provide information and support to everyone affected by cardiovascular disease. 

About you 

With a strong experience in developing and leading integrated brand campaigns, you’ll be both innovative and creative, with expertise in brand and visual identity management.  

You’ll have a CIM/IDM or similar marketing qualification and a proven track record in leading multi-channel marketing campaigns, preferably in charity or health marketing, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to brief. 

Additionally, you have strong influencing and negotiating skills, with previous experience managing agencies and suppliers and fostering collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders, using diplomacy and empathy. 

To be successful, you will be:

• Proven experience in developing and leading ATL integrated brand campaigns
• Experienced in marketing activities across various channels and formats including TV, radio, outdoor, press, digital. 
• Experienced in leading large external and internal partners in the delivery of an integrated campaign. 

Working Arrangements

This is a  fixed term contract until 31 March 2026. 

This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office (NW1 7AW).

We are recruiting for a Service Manager who is passionate about supporting survivors who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. This is a multifaceted, fast paced, and exciting role where you will join our team in Derby to lead on the delivery and development of high-quality refuge and outreach services for survivors of domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. 

The post holder will provide line management and high-quality support to the direct reports in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures. This will include providing supervision on complex and high-risk cases, overseeing operational emergencies, and ensuring high standards of casework. The Service Manager will lead on the delivery of the multiagency aspect of work, working jointly with the Refuge teams and wider stakeholders to deliver best services to the survivors. 

Candidates must have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to vulnerable people, managing, and motivating staff, managing casework as well as working within multiagency setting.  In addition, you must have an excellent knowledge of domestic abuse and other gender-based violence and its impact on survivors.  You will have knowledge of relevant Criminal and Civil law legislation, as well as Housing and Health and Safety legislation.

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota. Please note that this is an on-site role.

At London City Mission, we are partnering with churches who have a growing passion for reaching out to the communities around them, but who need equipping and building up for this crucial work. Our aim over the next five years is to see 150 new missional teams established in churches across London. These missional teams are groups of church members who take responsibility for a ministry to a community who may not otherwise hear about Jesus, are affirmed and publicly supported by the church leadership, pray for each other and for the people they want to invite to follow Christ, using their different gifts regularly to reach people who are part of this community. The Missionary role is, therefore, a Church mobilisation role.

This position is a full-time, permanent appointment. Starting salary is £22,045 per annum plus £1,200 per month housing allowance (taxable). • Customer-Centric: Ensure customers feel central to our work and achievements, motivating them to continue supporting our research long-term.

About You:

You’ll have solid experience in direct or integrated marketing roles across several channels, with expertise in analysing data to drive decision-making and optimising performance and engagement (especially direct mail, telemarketing, and email). You will have demonstrable experience managing customer retention marketing or loyalty campaigns in a fast-paced direct marketing team.

To be successful, you will have:

• Experience leading campaign delivery across multiple channels, generating growth and engagement.

Main Duties 

Reports to Chief Executive Officer Contract Permanent

A member of the senior leadership team the post-holder port directly to the CEO. Working in a person-centred environment the Head of Fundraising will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual income targets.
• Lead and manage a diverse range of fundraising activities.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and sponsors.
• With the support of the Digital and Communications officer, develop and raise the charities profile.
• Act as a spokesperson for the charity, building relationships with the media and outlets managing public relations.
• Ensure the organisation meets all its legal and statutory requirements including HR, Health and Safety, Charity Commission and GDPR.

Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the Director will be responsible for providing visionary leadership, fostering a collaborative and inclusive organisational culture, ensuring financial sustainability, effective governance and the successful delivery of strategic objectives. They will serve as the primary spokesperson for the World Heritage Site, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring experience in the culture or heritage sectors, strong communication and interpersonal skills, financial and fundraising knowledge, and a passion for Edinburgh’s historic environment. 

This role presents a chance to make a lasting impact on one of the world's most celebrated World Heritage Sites. 

• Salary: £35,700 p.a.
• Contract: Full time, Permanent 35hrs a week (Part time Part time – 28hrs a week would be considered)
• Location: Remote (based in UK) with the option to work from CSW’s New Malden office.

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced grants fundraiser to join CSW to use their skills to help people who are harassed and persecuted for their beliefs. You will play a key role in generating sustainable income for our work through securing grants from charitable trusts, foundations and institutions.

Key Responsibilities (a full list of responsibilities is listed in the Application Pack)

• Research and identify new sources of funding to grow pipeline of prospective trusts, foundations and institutions
• Write high-quality, compelling applications and bespoke funding proposals to secure grants
• Manage relationships with existing funders in a way that secures multi-year grants
• Schedule and write reports according to funders’ requirements

The Person

You are an excellent researcher, self-motivated and able to write compelling applications that align with funders’ priorities. You have strong research and time management skills. You are able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders and understand the importance of stewarding relationships with funders well.

• A minimum of three years fundraising experience for a charity.
• Proven track record of securing five-figure gifts from charitable trusts, foundations and/or institutions
• Writing high-quality, compelling funding applications/ proposals that match funders’ interests with CSW’s mission and activities
• Account management or managing relationships with high value donors and/or trusts and foundations

Our mission is to help people manage their money effectively, and our independent, confidential and flexible approach is tailored to individuals’ needs, allowing us to reach those who find it most difficult to access advice. You will be joining a large team of Money Advisers providing specialist level debt and benefit advice and casework. 

We have 2 posts available - 1 based in our Brighton and Hove office, and the second either based in our office, but fully remote working possible.  For both posts you will have lots of variety, providing telephone specialist debt and benefit advice and casework across a range of projects.  If you are based in our office you will also deliver face-to-face advice both in the office and other outreach locations including Foodbanks and with inpatients.

Ideally you will hold a qualification in Money Advice, obtained either through the Institute of Money Advisers or the Money and Pensions Service.  If you do not have a qualification, you must be prepared to work towards obtaining this, included some study in your own time. You will have excellent communication and digital skills, be comfortable delivering advice in person and by phone, and be able to plan and organise your work effectively.

Fundraising Officer

We are looking for a Fundraising Officer to join this charitable programme based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus with a mission of working in partnership to improve healthcare globally.

Position: Fundraising Officer

Location: Hybrid working to include days in the office on Cambridge Biomedical Campus

Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum FTE (depending on skills and experience)

Hours: Full time (37.5 hours per week)

Contract: Initial two-year fixed-term contract (part-time considered)

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate and expanding team at a pivotal time in their development. As Fundraising Officer, you will play a vital role in helping to secure funding across multiple income streams to support healthcare improvement projects in the UK and internationally.

You will work closely with the Fundraising Lead and wider team to grow support from trusts and foundations, individuals, corporate donors and community fundraisers. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build your skills across diverse fundraising activities, contribute to compelling funding proposals, and support stewardship and events.

Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

• Write high-quality funding proposals and donor reports.
• Provide excellent stewardship for supporters, including thanking and ongoing communication.
• Research and develop new income opportunities from trusts, corporates, and individuals.
• Support the delivery of CGHP fundraising and stewardship events.
• Promote and manage CGHP's Giving Circle and help CGHP members with their own fundraising.
• Work with the Communications Lead on fundraising campaigns and promotional materials.
• Maintain accurate records and financial data using a CRM database.

About You:

To be successful in the role of Fundraising Officer, you will need fundraising experience and be highly organised, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic about global health.

You will also need to have the following skills and experience:

• A strong interest in and commitment to global health work.
• A proven track record in fundraising, particularly writing proposals and reports.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work proactively within a small, collaborative team.
• A self-starter who can use initiative and think creatively.
• Willingness to work flexibly, occasionally outside of normal hours, and to travel if required.
• A sense of humour and enjoyment of being busy!

Desirable: Experience working across multiple income streams and with volunteers would be an advantage.
