The UN Global Compact Network UK has over 850 participating companies and we are growing quickly. The Network Secretariat Team has expanded to 28 people and is growing.

About the role

We are seeking a Participant Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, the chosen candidate will work with our member companies to maximise the impact of our programmes, driving sustainable business operations and enhancing the value they receive from their UN Global Compact participation.

The position will manage and keep track of the priorities, needs and challenges of our participating companies and ensure our offerings remain relevant and impactful for them by collaborating with our programme teams.

This role will exist alongside another individual working collectively to fulfil the responsibilities outlined below. The workload will be shared, ensuring a balanced distribution of tasks.

The Participant Engagement Manager will report to the Head of Operations and Participant Engagement. We offer a flexible hybrid working environment, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.

Who we are looking for:

• Someone excited about our mission, sustainability, and the pivotal role business can play in overcoming the environmental and social challenges the world is facing. Understanding business interests and the ability to promote our unique value proposition will be key to boosting engagement with our programmes.

• An effective communicator with a customer-focused mindset. You will engage regularly through email exchanges, calls, and meetings with representatives from participating businesses to build and nurture strong relationships with them and ensure high levels of engagement. Your ability to listen to their needs and provide relevant and timely support will be key.

• An experienced professional with a track record in account management, business development, or a similar role. Familiarity with Salesforce and Asana is highly desirable.

• Someone with experience working with SMEs would be highly desirable.

• Someone who is an organised team player, who enjoys collaboration and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• A proactive and adaptable individual who is ready to take on a variety of activities and rapidly gain responsibility as the Network’s team, programmes and members are constantly evolving.

In your first 6 months:

To help you settle quickly, we will provide a thorough and comprehensive onboarding. Through meetings with key colleagues and online training, we will help you to become familiar with our way of working and our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities - after onboarding, we will expect you to:

• Take the lead in planning and delivering our monthly members’ breakfasts, initially with support from your line manager.

• Support the team in organising and delivering our annual Kick-off event, taking place in January.

• Support the team in organising and delivering our Annual General Meeting, taking place in June.

• Contribute to implementing our Light Key Account Management (KAM) plan by responding to participant queries, catering to their needs as well as scheduling, joining, and eventually leading calls with a subset of our participating companies to nurture strong relationships with them and ensure high engagement.

• Oversee onboarding of new participants and deliver regular onboarding webinars.

• Be the main contact point for Communication on Progress matters. This includes supporting participants with their submissions but also engaging with our global team to stay informed about/provide feedback on updates to the CoP.

• Develop and launch an SME Buddy Network to help connect SME participants and give them an opportunity to ask questions specific to their needs in a 'safe environment'.

• Coordinate engagement around high-level events organised by the global team including the Leaders Summit, Private Sector Forum, and COPs.

• Track priorities, needs, and challenges of participants and collaborate with the team to ensure our offerings remain relevant.

• Measure participant engagement levels and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects. Since resuming services post-Covid, we have realized the needs and wants of the community have shifted from our previous offer. We have a strong Community Development programme to connect with and rebuild our offer, including some big changes to pre-Covid ways of working. Building on a strong track record, we intend to continue working with the community to deliver activities and events that meet local needs while also providing opportunities for fun and friendship. Our community offer includes activities connecting children to nature and tackling food insecurity; accessible community fitness and wellbeing activities; and intergenerational activities and events. We are re-developing our offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely. The role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Strategic development and oversight of community programmes for children, adults and across multiple generations

• Leadership and line management of team; oversight of sessional facilitators and contractors used by team

• Setting programme budget and service targets; monitoring and evaluation to ensure delivery against these

• Playing a key part in building, broadening and developing new funding for these programmes and maintaining relationships with current funders

• Lead role in planning and execution of community events

• Development of corporate partnerships and CSR relationships

• Responsibility for general outward communications, including social media

• Contributing to the wider organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team

• Acting as Deputy Safeguarding Lead

About you

You have a track record of developing and delivering excellent community programmes in the third sector. You’re a seasoned team leader with experience of change management. You have an outwardlooking approach and are passionate about building programmes with community buy-in. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities. You have experience of fundraising and maybe other types of income generation. You have strong relationship building skills – internally and externally - and build trust and credibility easily. You are passionate about the power of community to connect and support people.

Purpose of Role

This is a new role within the Strategy and Governance team, a team which supports delivery of the Ramblers’ strategy through business planning, project management and impact measurement, and oversees the management of governance matters.

The purpose of the Project Manager role is to:

• Manage project teams to drive delivery of key initiatives in the business plan using best practice project management approaches. (80% of time)

• Provide a Project Management Office (PMO) function, helping to raise standards and rigour in project management across the organisation. (20% of time)

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle of key projects including:

- preparing a project mandate / business case and updating as required

- identifying and tracking a clear set of measurable outcomes / benefits

- establishing and overseeing appropriate project governance arrangements

- developing a project plan setting out activities, deliverables and milestones

- identifying and managing key risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies

- preparing and managing a project budget and a resourcing schedule 

- developing and implementing communications and engagement plans, working with the comms team

Purpose of the roles:

• To be responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of Neighbourhood Watch’s partner project involving Neighbourhood Watch volunteers within the South West.
• Recruit, training and coordinate volunteers so they can deliver information sessions to community groups. 
• Research areas in needs of support and book venues where information sessions will be delivered by volunteers.
• Be able to travel to events in order to support volunteers and ensuring information sessions are delivered to the highest and consistent standards, and that feedback requests are acted upon swiftly.

Hours of employment are:

0.8FTE (28 hours per week)
8 months fixed term contract. Core hours are Monday to Friday 10am-12pm and 2-4pm with an unpaid lunch break.

The role

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager is a new and vital role, created to maximise income generation across FareShare’s national team and 18 Network Partners. This role is integral to driving collaboration and establishing a strategic approach to fundraising across multiple sites.

FareShare has a vibrant national fundraising department that has consistently grown the organisation’s new and existing income streams in recent years. As we have grown, so have our regional delivery partners, who are independent charities, each investing in their own fundraising to sustain larger operations. The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will join FareShare’s Fundraising Leadership Team to enhance these efforts through strategic collaboration and clearly defined ways of working to maximise opportunities across our income streams.

Central to this role is the development and co-design of a strategic plan for fundraising across FareShare and our Network Partners. This plan will ensure we are better equipped for income generation, adopting consistent ways of working and a co-ordinated approach, which avoids overlapping our respective audiences and keeps the supporter at the heart of our decision making. 

The Senior Network Fundraising Manager will facilitate and coordinate fundraising activities across multiple partners. This requires involving and inspiring key stakeholders, managing conflicts, setting clear expectations and responsibilities and driving continuous improvements to the way we work together. The role will ensure that the tools, frameworks, resources, monitoring and evaluation methods, and relationships are in place to successfully share information, champion successes and build new funding opportunities across FareShare and our Network Partners.

The role offers a fantastic and unique opportunity to develop a new strategic approach to fundraising across multiple charity partners, operating under the same brand and mission. You will have a strong track record in income generation, and experience or understanding of organisations working together in a federative structure. Cross-team collaboration is crucial to the role, and you will demonstrate strong relationship building, communication and influencing skills.

Main areas of responsibility

1. Lead the development of a Network Fundraising Strategy, incorporating co-designed ways of working and objectives across FareShare Network Partners.

2. Lead on culture change and new ways of working to ensure network partners are consulted and considered in all new fundraising activity.

3. Manage and coordinate FareShare’s monthly forum of network fundraisers and foster a culture of best practice, collective effort, collaboration and learning.

4. Identify network-wide investment projects and support the development of joint funding bids to secure significant income for FareShare and our partners.

5. Ensure national fundraising activity gives full consideration to network fundraising and its potential to be delivered locally.

6. Investigate and take learnings from how local fundraising activity could grow and be delivered nationally.

7. Stay abreast of all Network Partner fundraising activity, financial performance and longer-term business plans.

8. Act as the main point of connection for the flow of information between Network Partners and FareShare’s national fundraising team.

Working across the Crisis Brent teams you will lead on the delivery of our volunteer programme and member involvement opportunities. You will work across teams to ensure volunteer’s experience of volunteering is positive and play a key role in volunteer retention. You will be creative and inclusive in establishing Brent-specific member involvement opportunities so members can influence our service locally. You will work across teams to ensure we deliver our service with people experiencing homelessness, instead of delivering a service to people experiencing homelessness. You will work with the central Crisis team to respond to member involvement opportunities, influencing policy and providing members with the opportunity to share their story with the wider public and media.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will provide proactive and inspiring management to a team of SOS caseworkers, where you will plan and support the team’s daily workload, monitor and review probation periods, conduct annual performance reviews and ongoing one-to-one throughout the year and review ongoing personal development plans and agree appropriate training.  You will be expected to provide advice and support to team members and attached volunteers in the form of team meetings, regular supervision meetings and daily contact, plus attend community events and meet with commissioners of service to promote the service and build relationships.

• To have worked on an offender-led support project, had personal experience of the criminal justice system, served a prison sentence, or still be serving a prison sentence in a prison within reach of London

ACCESS TO A CAR AND A CLEAN FULL DRIVING LICENCE IS A REQUIREMENT OF THIS POSITION

We are looking to recruit an experienced person-centred leader who is passionate about delivering services that make a difference to people’s lives. You will have responsibility of maintaining a high level of service delivery with strong outcomes. You will lead a team of staff with oversight of each service area, will be organised, able to make decisions and use your initiative. The role will also involve monitoring service processes, systems, and workforce capacity to enable us to identify areas for change and improvement.

We work in partnership with Age UK Buckinghamshire to deliver the Hospital Discharge Support Service. The service covers the county of Buckinghamshire and aims to improve the experience of people leaving hospital, at what can be a very difficult time for them. Our teams work with patients to make this experience more manageable and to minimise the risk of readmission. This service supports people aged 18 who are leaving hospital after a stay. Older people are highly represented in this client group.

The purpose of the role is to manage and deliver the day-to-day operation of the service. Operating across Buckinghamshire, our discharge staff are based at both Stoke Mandeville and Wexham Park hospitals. Our community team are based in the Age UK Buckinghamshire offices in Aylesbury but reach out to serve residents across the county. Additionally, a team of volunteers provide additional capacity and reach. The post holder will be based at the office in Aylesbury but will be expected to travel across the two hospital sites when required.

The hospital teams operate 7 days a week supporting patients on discharge. Over a year more than a thousand patients will be taken home by our teams and helped to settle in safely. The community team will support residents post discharge, liaising with any other services, offering practical support to settle in at home such as shopping, light housework or picking up prescriptions and offering a regular call to ensure all is well.
