We are seeking a VCSE Brokerage Administrator to support the development of a Brokerage Framework, working under the VCSE Brokerage Manager. The framework will provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care partners to reach VCSE organisations.
About Us
The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) VCSE Alliance launched in January 2024. It aims to influence and facilitate greater collaboration between the regional health system (BNSSG Integrated Care System) and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE). It seeks to do this by enhancing the role of the VCSE sector in the delivery and transformation of wellbeing and health, and cementing our sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care, in its widest possible definition.
The co-design of a new ‘VCSE Brokerage Framework’ with colleagues from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and System (ICS) is a key priority for the VCSE Alliance in 2024-25. The aim of the Brokerage Framework is to provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach a diverse range of VCSE organisations. The intention is that will be a new process by which grants and opportunities can be distributed to the sector.

Ensuring that we have a clear, efficient and effective administrative process for the Brokerage Framework will be fundamental to its success.

Thousands of vulnerable children pass through UK railway stations every day. Most of us wouldn’t even spot that they were in danger.
As Railway Children’s Community Engagement Worker (London), you will energise key stakeholders to come together to collectively keep vulnerable young people safe on the rail network. You will build and strengthen partnerships with – and between – the rail industry, British Transport Police (BTP) and others working locally with vulnerable young people in order to drive forward innovative approaches to contextual safeguarding.

Hybrid working
This is a hybrid role. You will be working from home and join Team Together Days in a co-working space in London 2-3 individual days each month. These days are considered commuting days. A cover letter is optional instead of completing the application questions. While we encourage the use of innovative technology in our work, we want to hear your voice and personality in your application. AI is a tool, not a shortcut. This doesn’t mean asking AI to do the work for you, or copying and pasting answers, as this would limit the way you can showcase your personal experiences and strengths.
In your cover letter consider telling us your skills, experience or approach to the headings and activities we’ve outlined in ‘Key Responsibilities'. Then tell us about how you meet the person specification.

Welcome to Xenia!
Xenia is a grassroots women’s organisation on a mission to create more inclusive, equal and welcoming communities. We deliver weekly workshops in London and Sheffield which support women from all backgrounds, ages, faiths, cultures and immigration statuses to share, connect and learn together.
Participants are at the heart of the Xenia community. Migrant, refugee, asylum seeking, and British women come together as active equals at our workshops where we use the arts, heritage and power of conversation to connect, learn from each other and take part in local civic life. Together we create a community that supports practising spoken English, reduces social isolation, connects different cultures, and gives underrepresented women access to civic and democratic opportunities.
As an organisation Xenia is non-hierarchical and participatory, meaning decisions are made collectively and are proactively informed by participant involvement. The organisation is run by an Organising Team, made up of a small number of staff (currently 5) and volunteers and the trustee board. We aim to be true to our values that everyone has something to teach and everyone has something to learn. We do not have managers and instead operate in a flatter structure in which everyone contributes to running the organisation.
This is where you come in. We are looking for the newest member of Xenia’s staff team to drive our growth forward, with the support of the staff, Organising Team and Trustee Board. This role is right for you if you have a strong desire to work in a non-hierarchical setting, have a good understanding of migrant women’s lives, and an unwavering commitment to equality and inclusion. You will have experience of raising funds from varied sources, with excellent communication skills that are adaptable to different people and situations. Most of all, you will be excited by the work that Xenia does.
If you think you could be a good fit for this role in Xenia, we’d love to hear from you. Even if you’re not sure you have the right experience, you can always get in touch and have a chat.
