Job Role:

Forces Employment Charity delivers a specialist programme to support veterans in the Justice System who may be vulnerable, socially isolated, or need support to live or maintain a law-abiding life.

The Caseworker will Manage and support a caseload of vulnerable veterans in your allocated region. As an integral and highly valued member of the team, the Lived Experience caseworker will provide peer support and practical assistance to colleagues and people using the service.

This position is full-time, 35 hours per week with a salary of £29,000. This role is peripatetic in nature - it involves regular travel across the operating region (Kent & Sussex) and working from home when not out in the community. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. However, there may be an occasional need to work outside core hours to meet the demands of the role.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role consists of managing and supporting the caseloads of vulnerable veterans in your allocated region.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Contact all clients within 48 hours of allocation.
• Undertake needs assessments and develop a care coordination support plan within 5 days of allocation.
• Carry out an assessment using the Outcome Star, understand and record Employment and Housing status, and other assessments as required by the Regional Manager.
• Review Outcome Star assessments at 3 monthly intervals to understand and demonstrate progress.
• Work with and empower clients to engage with the care coordination support plan and goals agreed upon during their needs assessment.
• Produce written reports when requested highlighting support given to clients and level of engagement.
• Support the Regional Manager and National Manager to create and maintain strong working relationships with referring organisations in the Op Nova Area, including the Police and NHS Liaison and Diversion and Probation Service.
• To participate and deliver presentations, making use of the media available, to statutory and non-statutory agencies as required.
• Work to identify and engage veterans with the service.
• Deliver emotional and practical support to veterans working with partner organisations to provide specialist support for everyone.
• Work with each client to identify future goals for employment, volunteering and or training.
• Liaise with other FEC Employment Advisors to provide employment support
• Ensure that all activity is recorded on the Salesforce case management system (CMS).
• Deliver any further activities reasonably required by your Regional Manager and the National Man
• Produce Incident reports without delay as per the Work Instructions on Incident reporting

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Competencies:

• Highly motivated and independent, capable of working remotely across a wide geographical area.
• Resilient and able to work with individuals with complex needs and cope with the rigors that arise from working with veterans in the justice system.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly organised with strong IT skills and experience of using Case Management Systems, Microsoft packages and outlook
• Commitment to working with each client without prejudice and in an equitable manner, including those who are arrested for violent or sexual offences.
• Experience working with people using a mentoring or coaching approach to engage and support the individuals we work with to change their lives.
• Excellent team player who will contribute to a diverse and dedicated team.
• Driving license and exclusive use of own car.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written
• Empathy with and a good understanding of ex-forces personnel and the challenges they can face.
• Experience in soft skills: Public speaking, presentations, relationship building, and time management
• Strong communicator.

Desirable Competencies:

• NVQ Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance
• Experience in using Outcomes Star
• Salesforce case management system experience, this training will be provided for the successful candidate if they are not already trained.
• A working knowledge of the Justice system and experience of working with offenders or ex-offenders.
• Experience of serving in the Armed Forces, Police or Probation Service

The facilitator role is a freelance position. We offer flexible hours with delivery taking place during school hours/term time in schools, partner offices or community event spaces.

Safeguarding

The facilitator's responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young person’s for whom they are responsible, or with whom they come into contact will be to adhere to and ensure compliance with the relevant Talent Foundry Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedures at all times. About the role:

The Young Women’s Mentor Advocate will work with young women aged 15-24 to provide specialist 1:1 support to those referred into the service. The service is designed to be a “whole system” response to women and girls in the Criminal Justice System, so a key part of the role will include building relationships with statutory and VCS agencies, to support and encourage more young women to access the Minerva service, as well as setting up specialist referral pathways for young women in the community. 

About You:

 To be successful as the Young Women’s Keyworker you will:

Bring an in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the Criminal Justice System. Have a strong understanding of the context and challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic violence, mental health, and sexual health.

Bring a significant experience of working with young women experiencing issues related to offending and experience of community engagement, advocacy and support work with young people and have proven practical experience of using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques with young women and girls, using a woman-centred approach to build trust and rapport.  You will demonstrate the ability to work in partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, developing and maintaining strong constructive working relationships.

  What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the Brighton Marathon, Edinburgh Marathon Festival and Great North Run. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.

This role will cover all aspects from setting budgets, creating a marketing plan, building the supporter communications, organising event logistics, delivering event weekend support, followed by remittance and thanking to ensure we maximise the funds raised from these events. Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events.

Working with our Communications teams, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with the strongest case studies, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us after completing their event.

We’re looking for a dedicated person to join our established, experienced and high-performing Events and Community Fundraising team, that has ambitious plans to grow income to £16M+ by 2030. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Leading People Operations: embedding excellent policies and processes, and advisory support

• Provide leadership of the the day-to-day People and Culture team at the Charity, including direct management of the People and Culture Manager, Volunteer Development Manager, and Learning and Engagement Manager.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engaging Champions Groups e.g. EDI Champions, to make The Charity a great place to work
• Provide senior leadership advisory support to Heads of Teams peers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure we have the right skills and culture to enable our strategic priorities
• Provide advice, guidance and support to leaders and manager on employment law, people policies and practices, and manage complex employee relations matters as required

• Lead change management projects, whether that’s supporting organisational growth, redesign to support capacity and capability for the future, or responding to external challenges

Head of Fundraising (full time employment contract)
£54,000 pa; 7.5% pension contribution by St James’s with 0.5% contribution by the employee; 25 days annual leave plus public holidays. 

St James’s Church Piccadilly is at an exciting moment in its 340 year history. Fundraising for the ‘Wren Project’, a £20m capital campaign, and plans for an endowment campaign, are well underway and the team is progressing well towards its initial target. 

This new role will lead the staff team, liaising closely with the contracted Director of Development, in ensuring the Wren Project funding is delivered, and that necessary funds for the social outreach, arts programming and running costs of the church are raised in a timely and effective manner. 

Experience in fund raising in the charity sector is essential, including a good understanding of the regulatory environment. Experience in fund raising in the faith sector would be an advantage.

The role holder will deputise for the Charity Chief Executive providing strategic leadership and effective governance of the Charity, its Trading Arm, and all Shared Services.
 
The Deputy Chief Executive will oversee Union Development and Talent work to support students’ unions in line with the their Charity Strategy. They will also be responsible for supporting the strategic work around Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. The Charity adopt a flexible approach to line management and project management. Other direct reporting lines and key projects will be agreed based on strengths and experience. For example, if the successful candidate has a strong commercial background, they may also be asked to line manage the Trading Support function.

The Refugee Employment Network (REN) is the UK’s only national network dedicated exclusively to refugee employment. About the role

As Network Coordinator, you will play a key role in strengthening and expanding the Refugee Employment Network (REN). Working closely with the CEO, you will support its growth by improving engagement with network members, ultimately enhancing employment outcomes for refugee talent and strengthening hiring practices across UK businesses.

You will collaborate with network partners, experts by experience, businesses, and refugee support organisations to convene and facilitate meetings, working groups, training, and advisory boards that share best practices, pilot initiatives, and build skills to enhance refugee employment.

Additionally, you will represent REN at events, speaking on the barriers refugees face in accessing work, and contribute to the delivery of impactful projects and programmes.

Purpose of the role

• Strengthen the Refugee Employment Network by delivering events and opportunities for members to share knowledge, best practices, and collaborate on initiatives to advance refugee employment. 

• Support refugees in accessing fulfilling employment that matches their skills,  qualifications and experience, and employers to access refugee talent through REN’s Refugee Jobs Board, mentoring programmes and Refugee Job Fairs

• Ensure the smooth administration of REN, including project and organisational admin, event planning and coordination, communications with network members, and managing job board listings.

Key responsibilities 

1. Member Engagement: 

• Act as the key point of contact for REN members, providing timely responses and support.

• Ensure all member information is captured and kept up to date on our database and website

• Organise meetings and networking opportunities to facilitate relationships, share learning, and collaboration on employability skills workshops, job fairs, and mentoring projects.

• Provide clear communications to participants, members and partners through emails, website copy and newsletters.

2. Event Coordination: 

• Coordinate a calendar of events, including job fairs, member meet-ups, an annual conference and training sessions, managing project timelines, registration, and evaluation.

• Provide logistical and administrative support for events, Job Fairs, workshops, and member activities including bookings, delegate lists, venue coordination and catering.

• Attend and facilitate in-person and online events, representing the Refugee Employment Network and welcoming participants and partners.

3. Mentoring Projects:

• Coordinate the day to day running of mentoring projects, including reviewing mentee and mentor applications, matching mentors with mentees and being the first point of contact for all mentors and mentees. 

• Design and deliver mentoring training, guides, and toolkits to ensure impactful mentoring experiences. 

• Monitor and capture impact through surveys, focus groups, drop- sessions, impact reports and case studies

4. Jobs Board administration: 

• Regularly upload job opportunities to the Refugee Jobs Board and serve as the first point of contact for employers, recruiters, and job seekers.

• Work closely with the CEO on the digital development of the jobs board

5. Administration & Database Management: 

• Maintain accurate records and manage project data to support programme development, insights and data gathering and sharing. 

• Provide the day-to-day administration of Refugee Employment Network’s projects, membership, events and jobs board.

6. Communications and Impact: 

• Create clear and compelling communication through the website, newsletters, and social media platforms. 

• Create case studies and social media content that shows the impact of our work, raises the profile of the Refugee Employment Network and showcases network members work in advancing refugee employment in the UK

• Collect and analyse data to develop impact reports demonstrating the effectiveness of REN’s work.

Outline of service:

Gaddum and Manchester Mind have come together to provide a new and innovative service which will support people to leave inpatient mental health settings and return to their community with the support they need to recover and remain well.

As a team, we will deliver psycho-social interventions, advocacy, housing and welfare rights advice and peer support. There will also be tailored support to young people (those under the age of 25). All we do is underpinned by listening and ensuring people feel heard – because we know that when people are listened to, they recover. The team will be working with colleagues within the mental health, primary care, inpatient and community sectors.
 

Job summary:

Reporting to the team manager, this post is one of two Coordinators. The manager and two coordinators will be jointly responsible for 12 staff working in a diverse range of roles, and who work for Gaddum or Manchester Mind (the two organisations who partner together to deliver this service).

Employed within Gaddum’s element of the service, you will manage a team of 3 support workers and 2 peer support workers, supporting their casework and professional development. Working as a team, you will develop this new innovative service and ensure it delivers highly effective, safe and quality interventions to the people of Manchester.

Your team will work with people prior to discharge from mental health hospital and then support the person to get the care they need so they can recover in the community. People will feel connected within their communities – to services, friends and family. You may carry a small caseload (3 cases maximum) dependent on your capacity and development needs.

The aim of our service is to:

• Repatriate: when people are sent to an out of area placement (OAPs), advocate to get them back to Greater Manchester so they can recover closer to their community.

• Discharge: Supporting people when they’re ready to be discharged from inpatient mental health services to get back to the community and recover.

• Prevent re-admissions: Work with people, post-discharge, to ensure they continue to get the support they need to make informed choices, stay well and ultimately thrive.
 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide high quality support and supervision to your team. Provide casework support; identifying when cases need progression, onward referrals and changes in levels of support.

• Develop and review risk assessments and support the team to manage risk.

• Work with VCSE, primary care, local authority and communities to identify available services for people to access.

• Working with statutory sector systems, identify areas of system pressure and, with support, seek to add capacity.

• Ensure service resources are accurately maintained.

• Dependent on capacity you may manage a small caseload (maximum 3 cases) to support your casework knowledge in this area.

• To work in a person-centred, trauma informed and culturally appropriate way that enables people to effectively engage with services and make sustainable links in with their communities.

• To use your knowledge of community care, policies, legislation and statutory services to get people the support they need to recover and stay well.

• Where appropriate, independently visit people in inpatient and community settings across Greater Manchester.

• Occasionally visit people out of the Greater Manchester area who need to return to their community in Manchester (all travel expenses will be paid and non-commute travel time will be part of your working day).

• Build relationships with key professionals to ensure individuals and our service achieve their goals (e.g. inpatient staff, social care, CMHTs, community services etc).

• Work with the Operations Manager, system colleagues (internally and externally) to develop a supportive and productive referral route into and out of the service.

• Support the development, delivery and review of the service, responding professionally to changes as we improve and evolve our working practice collaboratively.

• Respond appropriately to Safeguarding concerns raised by colleagues and escalate in line with Gaddum/ Manchester Mind’s safeguarding policies and procedures and best practice. Working as a team:

• To integrate effectively with colleagues at Manchester Mind, taking a “one team approach” to deliver a seamless service, understanding the different roles in the team and recognising each other's strengths.

• To support Manchester Mind Coordinator via peer support.

• Work closely and integrate with external teams to support clinical, local authority and other system colleagues to ensure a “one team” approach to packages of care and support. 
 

Reporting and monitoring:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes using agreed case management systems, following standard operating procedures.

• Ensure the reporting, recording and monitoring of your team is accurate and complete.

• Support people to engage in our service through coproduction, engagement events and feedback forms, improving these processes as needs be.

• Contribute to reporting, evaluation and “deep dives” as required.

• Identify the unmet needs of people and report these back to management.

• Review complaints to the service and action appropriately.

• Ensure best practice Information Governance approaches are in place to maintain the best data management systems possible – ensuring compliance with the Information Commissioner’s Office and Gaddum’s Information Governance Framework.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Corporate Fundraising Officer who has excellent prospecting skills, a track record of providing exceptional account management to corporates across various locations and financial acumen when it comes to KPIS and reporting.

Preferably the successful candidate will have experience of setting, working to and achieving financial targets within deadlines and budgets, experience of managing relationships at varying levels and the ability to write persuasive and compelling copy together with presentations and pitches.

The post holder will be required to manage the day-to-day pipeline of prospects, identify appropriate opportunities, ensure all reporting and project evaluation is met and steward corporates to ensure long term support.

The candidate will also be responsible for supporting a number of colleagues (who also have their own targets locally) with achieving fundraising success in their area and maximising the potential of those relationships when there is scope for a national, centrally held partnership.
