About the role:
The Young Women’s Mentor Advocate will work with young women aged 15-24 to provide specialist 1:1 support to those referred into the service. The service is designed to be a “whole system” response to women and girls in the Criminal Justice System, so a key part of the role will include building relationships with statutory and VCS agencies, to support and encourage more young women to access the Minerva service, as well as setting up specialist referral pathways for young women in the community.
About You:
To be successful as the Young Women’s Keyworker you will:
Bring an in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the Criminal Justice System. Have a strong understanding of the context and challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic violence, mental health, and sexual health.
Bring a significant experience of working with young women experiencing issues related to offending and experience of community engagement, advocacy and support work with young people and have proven practical experience of using motivational interviewing and coaching techniques with young women and girls, using a woman-centred approach to build trust and rapport. You will demonstrate the ability to work in partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, developing and maintaining strong constructive working relationships.

What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a programme of owned products, activities and events, in addition to third-party challenges. Alongside our two owned events, March for Men and the Grand Depart Classic, we also recruit teams in events such as the TCS London Marathon, Great North Run and the London Landmarks Half Marathon.
In this role, you’ll project manage a number of third-party events which take place across the UK, including our teams at the Brighton Marathon, Edinburgh Marathon Festival and Great North Run. You’ll also be tasked with identifying new opportunities across the UK in the charity events market.
This role will cover all aspects from setting budgets, creating a marketing plan, building the supporter communications, organising event logistics, delivering event weekend support, followed by remittance and thanking to ensure we maximise the funds raised from these events. Alongside this, you’ll work with other teams within Prostate Cancer UK to support the full calendar of events and take the lead with supporting our volunteers at our events.
Working with our Communications teams, you’ll ensure that we make the most of every opportunity, from promoting the events to warm and new audiences, identifying and building relationships with the strongest case studies, to ensuring a high proportion of event participants continue to support us after completing their event.

We’re looking for a dedicated person to join our established, experienced and high-performing Events and Community Fundraising team, that has ambitious plans to grow income to £16M+ by 2030. As a team, we work hard to combine our strengths and motivate each other and share a passion for success. You’ll be joining an experienced and supportive team that will help you grow your strengths and support your development.
You’ll have experience of working in a sporting events team with a background of assisting or leading with the delivery of large-scale events, covering aspects such as marketing, communications and event delivery. Ideally with a solid fundraising background to enable you to hit the ground running. You’ll also have excellent communication skills and can motivate and inspire for our cause. Strong organisational skills will be combined with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and work to tight deadlines.
You’ll have the energy and passion to provide crucial input to this sector-leading team. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Leading People Operations: embedding excellent policies and processes, and advisory support
- Provide leadership of the the day-to-day People and Culture team at the Charity, including direct management of the People and Culture Manager, Volunteer Development Manager, and Learning and Engagement Manager.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including engaging Champions Groups e.g. EDI Champions, to make The Charity a great place to work
- Provide senior leadership advisory support to Heads of Teams peers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure we have the right skills and culture to enable our strategic priorities
- Provide advice, guidance and support to leaders and manager on employment law, people policies and practices, and manage complex employee relations matters as required

Our small team of team & volunteers are involved in organising and delivering tasks which facilitate a speedy hospital discharge and make homes safer to avoid admission – including fitting keysafes, moving furniture, shopping, giving advice and coordinating with health & social teams.

- Taking referrals into the service and adding to the CRM / database.
- Updating CRM / database and gathering information for the team to support clients.
- Coordinating Nightingale staff and volunteers to ensure tasks essential for a safe discharge are complete.
- Ensure the individual receives the support/services they need taking a holistic approach – working and communicating with staff, referrers, clients, family members, carers, social workers, hospitals and other Age UK Richmond and voluntary sector services.
We are looking for an individual with excellent administration and IT skills with experience in a health or social care related field being highly desirable. A proactive, enthusiastic and highly organised approach is also essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become the first Administration Officer for the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland. Purpose of the role
This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on leadership role in shaping the future of WERS as we implement our 2025-2030 Strategy.
Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will oversee operational delivery, ensuring that WERS’ frontline services and community programmes are effective, well-coordinated and responsive to the needs of refugees and people seeking asylum. You will provide line management to the team members, ensuring they are supported to deliver high-quality services that make a real difference.
At WERS, we believe that real change happens when communities lead the way. This new role will also focus on expanding refugee leadership and developing a regional model for our Advisory Panel, empowering members to shape local and national policies while building a structured network across the North East of England. Through mentorship, training and leadership development, you will create clear pathways for refugees to step into leadership roles, ensuring their voices are at the heart of decision-making.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Corporate Fundraising Officer who has excellent prospecting skills, a track record of providing exceptional account management to corporates across various locations and financial acumen when it comes to KPIS and reporting.

As Head of Community Research and Impact you will lead a small but skilled team, delivering across our community research, impact and evaluation and communications functions. You will take a leading role in shaping and delivering our strategic vision for community-led research. Our approach to research aims to rebalance the role and power that communities have in deciding how research is informed, delivered and used to improve lives for Lambeth residents. This role will champion collaborative research practices, foster meaningful partnerships, and ensure our work drives tangible, positive change for the communities we serve.
High Trees has built a strong foundation for its community-led research work over the past few years and has developed two flagship community research partnerships: Lambeth Peer Action Collective and Lambeth Community Research Network. We are now seeking an exceptional individual to significantly expand our work in this area to further build local evidence of community need, to work with communities to identify solutions and appropriate responses to local challenges and to advocate for change to policy and practice where needed.
To be successful in this role you will need to be able to develop new research projects which incorporate meaningful community involvement and have the potential to lead to positive change. You will take the lead on the design of new research programmes, sourcing funding to support these programmes and ensuring research projects are completed to a high standard, including the production of high-quality research outputs.
You will also lead the development of infrastructure around community-led research in Lambeth. Through the Lambeth Community Research Network, voluntary and community organisations will be able to access training, resources and networking opportunities that will enable them to build their capacity in developing and delivering new community-led research projects. The network will also create new opportunities for research collaborations between academics, public sector bodies and voluntary and community sector organisations.
As Head of Service, another key function of your role is the leadership and oversight of High Trees Monitoring & Evaluation and Communications, including of our partnerships. This allows us to ensure we continue to deliver services that have the impact we intend, and that this impact is evidenced and communicated to our key stakeholders.
You will bring an understanding of how work and projects should be designed, delivered, and evaluated to ensure they continue to respond to community needs and priorities. You will also instinctively understand the challenges faced by VCS organisations and communities alike, whether gained from a track record of working in the sector or a related field. Outline of service:
Gaddum and Manchester Mind have come together to provide a new and innovative service which will support people to leave inpatient mental health settings and return to their community with the support they need to recover and remain well.
As a team, we will deliver psycho-social interventions, advocacy, housing and welfare rights advice and peer support. There will also be tailored support to young people (those under the age of 25). All we do is underpinned by listening and ensuring people feel heard – because we know that when people are listened to, they recover. The team will be working with colleagues within the mental health, primary care, inpatient and community sectors.
Job summary:
Reporting to the team manager, this post is one of two Coordinators. The manager and two coordinators will be jointly responsible for 12 staff working in a diverse range of roles, and who work for Gaddum or Manchester Mind (the two organisations who partner together to deliver this service).
Employed within Gaddum’s element of the service, you will manage a team of 3 support workers and 2 peer support workers, supporting their casework and professional development. Working as a team, you will develop this new innovative service and ensure it delivers highly effective, safe and quality interventions to the people of Manchester.
Your team will work with people prior to discharge from mental health hospital and then support the person to get the care they need so they can recover in the community. People will feel connected within their communities – to services, friends and family. You may carry a small caseload (3 cases maximum) dependent on your capacity and development needs.
The aim of our service is to:
• Repatriate: when people are sent to an out of area placement (OAPs), advocate to get them back to Greater Manchester so they can recover closer to their community.
• Discharge: Supporting people when they’re ready to be discharged from inpatient mental health services to get back to the community and recover.
• Prevent re-admissions: Work with people, post-discharge, to ensure they continue to get the support they need to make informed choices, stay well and ultimately thrive.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide high quality support and supervision to your team. Provide casework support; identifying when cases need progression, onward referrals and changes in levels of support.
• Develop and review risk assessments and support the team to manage risk.
• Work with VCSE, primary care, local authority and communities to identify available services for people to access.
• Working with statutory sector systems, identify areas of system pressure and, with support, seek to add capacity.
• Ensure service resources are accurately maintained.
• Dependent on capacity you may manage a small caseload (maximum 3 cases) to support your casework knowledge in this area.
• To work in a person-centred, trauma informed and culturally appropriate way that enables people to effectively engage with services and make sustainable links in with their communities.
• To use your knowledge of community care, policies, legislation and statutory services to get people the support they need to recover and stay well.
• Where appropriate, independently visit people in inpatient and community settings across Greater Manchester.
• Occasionally visit people out of the Greater Manchester area who need to return to their community in Manchester (all travel expenses will be paid and non-commute travel time will be part of your working day).
• Build relationships with key professionals to ensure individuals and our service achieve their goals (e.g. inpatient staff, social care, CMHTs, community services etc).
• Work with the Operations Manager, system colleagues (internally and externally) to develop a supportive and productive referral route into and out of the service.
• Support the development, delivery and review of the service, responding professionally to changes as we improve and evolve our working practice collaboratively.
• Respond appropriately to Safeguarding concerns raised by colleagues and escalate in line with Gaddum/ Manchester Mind’s safeguarding policies and procedures and best practice. Working as a team:
• To integrate effectively with colleagues at Manchester Mind, taking a “one team approach” to deliver a seamless service, understanding the different roles in the team and recognising each other's strengths.
• To support Manchester Mind Coordinator via peer support.
• Work closely and integrate with external teams to support clinical, local authority and other system colleagues to ensure a “one team” approach to packages of care and support.
Reporting and monitoring:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes using agreed case management systems, following standard operating procedures.
• Ensure the reporting, recording and monitoring of your team is accurate and complete.
• Support people to engage in our service through coproduction, engagement events and feedback forms, improving these processes as needs be.
• Contribute to reporting, evaluation and “deep dives” as required.
• Identify the unmet needs of people and report these back to management.
• Review complaints to the service and action appropriately.
• Ensure best practice Information Governance approaches are in place to maintain the best data management systems possible – ensuring compliance with the Information Commissioner’s Office and Gaddum’s Information Governance Framework.
