(Depending on areas of experience you may be appointed as Head of Finance & Governance, or the role may be split into two, one for Finance and one for Governance)
Responsibilities:
- To lead a department of volunteers and to ensure the department functions are operating successfully
- To provide strategic management
- To ensure all relevant policies, procedures and processes are in place in relation to finance and governance
- To support the registration of the organization as a charity
- To oversee fundraising
- To provide strategic support and line management to operational management within the department
- To oversee, manage, support and where needed be directly involved in finance and governance work
Requirements:
- To have a background in management in Finance or Governance but ideally both
- To be IT literate and be able to use online task management tools
- To have a strong understanding of financial compliance
- To be confident in a strategic management role
