Urban Youth is a brand new dynamic youth work organisation based in London, dedicated to creating exciting and meaningful opportunities for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. We aim to build life skills and provide experiences that help young people discover themselves and the world around them. Driven by a passion for making a difference, we offer positive and engaging activities and interventions to help young people reach their full potential.
We need volunteers to join our Volunteering Team in the following roles;
1. Volunteer Coordinator
- Role: Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of volunteers.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement volunteer recruitment strategies.
- Conduct volunteer orientation and training sessions.
- Match volunteers with appropriate roles based on their skills and interests.
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to volunteers.
- Skills Needed: Strong organisational and communication skills, leadership, and experience in volunteer management.
2. Volunteer Recruitment Specialist
- Role: Focus on attracting and recruiting new volunteers.
- Responsibilities:
- Create and distribute promotional materials to attract volunteers.
- Attend community events and fairs to recruit volunteers.
- Conduct interviews and screenings of potential volunteers.
- Skills Needed: Marketing and communication skills, networking abilities, and experience in recruitment.
3. Volunteer Training and Development Coordinator
- Role: Design and deliver training programmes for volunteers.
- Responsibilities:
- Develop training materials and programmes to equip volunteers with necessary skills.
- Conduct regular training sessions and workshops.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and make improvements.
- Skills Needed: Training and development experience, strong presentation skills, and the ability to assess training needs.
4. Volunteer Engagement Officer
- Role: Ensure volunteers feel valued and engaged.
- Responsibilities:
- Organise recognition events and activities to appreciate volunteers.
- Gather feedback from volunteers to improve their experience.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment for volunteers.
- Skills Needed: Interpersonal skills, creativity, and experience in volunteer engagement.
