Job description

Volunteering opportunity: teaching and inspiring children on climate action

Climate Ed is a charity which offers volunteer-led workshops about climate change and carbon literacy to primary schools across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can deliver our workshop programme. This role provides volunteers with a chance to take action against climate change and inspire the next generation.

Our programme is fully-resourced, great fun to deliver, and we provide training to each of our volunteers. This training includes the chance to observe a workshop being delivered and a 1-1 online session to ensure our volunteers are confident and fully prepared to deliver their first workshops. No teaching experience is necessary but passion for, and some foundational knowledge about, climate change is helpful.

Our workshop programmes our delivered over a 5 week period in term time. Each individual workshop lasts up to 1 hour and is delivered during the school day. We have partner schools eager to receive the programme all across Birmingham and beyond so volunteers will have a choice of locations to volunteer at.

This role is advertised as part of TPP's Free Giving Back Services. This volunteer advertisement copy has been supplied to TPP and applicants apply direct to the organisation. Please contact the organisation directly if you have any questions about this volunteer role.
