Job description

Community: St Mary’s Church, Todmorden (and/ potentially St Peter's Walsden and/or St Michael's Cornholme)

Role title: Sunday School Volunteer (other roles available)

Main purpose: Support families to join and participate in activities.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist children with fun, engaging activities such as play/craft
  • Plan ahead, agreed programme and rota to ensure consistent Sunday school /Monday play involvement.
  • Engage with families

When and where you will be doing it:

  • St Mary’s Todmorden, step free with induction loop 11am-12.15pm Sundays and/or Walsden 9.45- 10.30am Mondays (however often as you can)

The Church of England is committed to promoting a safe environment and culture.

The individual appointed to this role will be expected to work within policies and procedures and complete required training including Safeguarding.

Enhanced child and adult Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check required.

Support available: Induction, training, DBS check, regular check in
