Job description

The Rights Practice, a registered UK charity, works to advance human rights in Asia with a
particular focus on China and Hong Kong.   With China playing an ever greater role on the world stage and coming under increasing scrutiny, human rights organisations like ours have a vital role to play. We are looking for new Trustees to join our Board and help us navigate a very challenging environment.

Trustees help provide strategic direction and oversight. They help ensure our work delivers our charitable purpose to advance human rights, in the best interests of our beneficiaries.

Our current Board has a wide range of experience. China expertise is not essential. We would welcome interest from individuals with comparative expertise in other regions of the world and experience in other areas such as international law, human resources and fundraising.

We encourage diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from all, including young candidates who fulfil the requirements of the role.

Trustees usually meet quarterly in the early evening. Please note this is an unpaid position. For further information, please see the detailed role description attached.
