We need volunteers to join our crew of Pompey Pirates and Portsea Sailors at one of our imaginative learning spaces!
Are you or someone you know available for a few hours during the week?
Our Pompey Pirates and Portsea Sailors are children in the local community who have fallen behind their peers with their reading and writing and are often lacking the communication and language skills to express themselves. This can be for a variety of reasons including learning English as a second language. Our volunteers make such a difference by building their confidence and ensuring they receive the support and encouragement to thrive.
No previous experience in teaching is needed. All we ask is that you have a good level of literacy and can build a positive rapport with young people. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
