If so, our new community-based charity, SUNSHINE, is seeking a dedicated, committed, and loyal volunteer to join us as a Volunteer Programme Coordinator. We aim to make a significant impact on the lives of people aged 18 and above who are experiencing loneliness and social isolation in London, with plans to expand beyond the London area.

Role Overview:

As our Volunteer Programme Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in recruiting, training, and inducting volunteers into SUNSHINE. Your efforts will ensure we have an amazing pool of volunteers who are ready to support our cause and help us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recruit, interview, and select new volunteers.

• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes to prepare volunteers for their roles.

• Conduct induction sessions to integrate new volunteers into our team and culture.

• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and motivated.

• Coordinate volunteer activities and schedules, ensuring efficient and effective deployment.

• Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, and identify opportunities for improvement and development.

• Support SUNSHINE in other areas to ensure the smooth running of our new start up charity.
