We're on the search for someone with a heart of gold, who is compassionate and has a passion for making a difference to peoples lives, joining our exciting new and inspiring start-up charity, called SUNSHINE. You will be joining our new charity as our TREASURER and FINANCE DIRECTOR, where you will champion our new start-up, set up and manage our financial aspects and helping us to set the foundations and to get our brand new charity off the ground, registered and ready to launch our services to the public.

Our mission is bold yet simple: to foster connections, enhance their wellbeing and to help transform lives. 

As our TREASURER and FINANCE DIRECTOR, you will be responsible for the following;

1. Financial Management: Ensure proper tracking of income and expenses, prepare budgets, and monitor cash flow. You will also handle bookkeeping tasks, especially as we are a start-up and micro/small charity.

2. Compliance: Ensure SUNSHINE adheres to legal and regulatory requirements, such as filing annual accounts and reports with the Charity Commission, HMRC and dealing with banking needs and requirements.

3. Strategic Input: Contribute to financial planning and advise the board on financial implications of decisions, helping to align resources with SUNSINE's goals.

4. Fundraising Oversight: Assist in managing funds raised and ensure they are used in accordance with donor intentions and SUNSHINE's objectives.

5. Reporting: Regularly presenting financial updates to the board and stakeholders is a key part of the role.

6. Governance: As a trustee, the Treasurer shares responsibility for the overall governance and direction of the charity.
