SUNSHINE is on the lookout for extraordinary individuals to join our Charity Start-Up Committee as volunteers and help bring our inspiring mission to life!

ABOUT US:

At SUNSHINE, we’re driven by the belief that connection transforms lives. As a grassroots initiative, our aim is to combat loneliness and social isolation through innovative community projects. We’re determined to bring people together, spark joy, and build a future where everyone feels they truly belong.

YOUR ROLE AS A COMMITTEE MEMBER:

As part of our start-up committee, you’ll play a pivotal role in setting the foundations of SUNSHINE. Together, we’ll get the charity registered, established, and ready to launch its life-changing services.

Key areas you'll contribute to include:

• Strategic Planning: Shape SUNSHINE’s vision, mission, and operational strategy.

• Networking & Advocacy: Help build partnerships, engage with stakeholders, and expand our reach.

• Fundraising & Finances: Support fundraising efforts to ensure our sustainability and oversee financial planning.

• Governance: Ensure that SUNSHINE operates ethically and legally, maintaining best practices.

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential challenges as we develop our services.

• Charity Set Up: To assist in the set up of SUNSHINE, including leading on the registration with the charity commission, setting up HMRC accounts and other tasks that will support the set up and launch of SUNSHINE. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

We’re looking for dynamic individuals with:

• A passion for community, connection, and making a tangible difference.

• Expertise in any of the following: governance, fundraising, marketing, project management, finance, HR or other relevant area for a start-up charity.

• Enthusiasm for shaping a start-up and the flexibility to navigate the evolving needs of a new charity.

• A willingness to collaborate as part of a dedicated and compassionate team.
