Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to support our busy Business Support team in Camden with the smooth running of the our new Head Office. We are looking for reliable volunteers who would like to grow their administrative experience in a dynamic charity working in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Sector.

About the role

In this role, volunteers will:

  • Provide assistance at reception/in admin office answering ensuring all telephone calls are answered in and messages are relayed to relevant member of staff or manager
  • To ensure that the central office is kept tidy and organised, and free of obstructions and compliant with health and safety.
  • Ensure that staff and visitor sign in
  • Directing staff and visitors to rooms/activities within Greenland Place
  • Notifying staff that visitors have arrived for appointments/meetings
  • Support staff with administrative paperwork, inclusive of printing, copying, laminating, posting etc.
  • Assist in managing the info inbox.
  • Assist in inducting new staff around the office.

Training includes CPD accredited courses, and the opportunity to apply to complete the level 3 Understanding Domestic Abuse Award (DAPA), which is recognized by the Home Office.

Please note that our volunteer opportunities are open to women only (exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1), and that these volunteer roles are exempt from the rehabilitation of offenders act 1974 and subject to enhanced DBS checks where applicable.
