As we navigate a period of exciting growth and development, we are committed to strengthening our internal structures and financial systems to support our expanding reach.

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced accountant who is enthusiastic about sharing their expertise and who has a passion for mentoring the next generation of financial professionals. This unique volunteer opportunity involves guiding our team of dedicated accountants and bookkeepers, all of whom are currently pursuing their PhDs and gaining practical experience through work placements with our charity.

Responsibilities:

· Provide mentorship and guidance to our finance team, supporting their professional development and learning.

· Offer expert advice on updating and enhancing our internal financial structures and systems.

· Assist with the strategic planning of financial management practices as we scale up our operations.

· Lead workshops or training sessions on advanced accounting principles and nonprofit financial compliance.

· Review and provide feedback on financial reports, budgets, and forecasting prepared by the team.

· Ensure our financial practices align with the charitable sector’s standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

· A seasoned professional with significant experience in accounting or finance.

· A recognized accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.

· Previous experience in a mentorship or training role within the finance sector.

· Familiarity with the financial operations of nonprofit organizations is an asset.

· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

· Willingness to contribute time to supporting our team on a voluntary basis.

Why Volunteer With Us:

· Make a tangible impact by supporting a charity that is passionate about youth development and community engagement.

· Contribute to the professional growth of PhD students and work placement accountants.

· Play a pivotal role in the strategic scaling of our charity’s financial structure.

· Be part of a diverse and vibrant team that values innovation and inclusivity.

· Gain a sense of fulfilment by giving back to the community and shaping the future of a growing charity.

We are excited about the opportunity to benefit from your wisdom and guidance and are eager to provide a rewarding experience that honours the time and knowledge you are willing to share with us.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to make a significant difference at RollaDome All Skate.
