Refugee Support Devon is seeking a dedicated Treasurer to lead our financial strategy, ensuring our vital work supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Devon thrives - join us to make a lasting impact!
What will you be doing?
The Treasurer oversees Refugee Support Devon's financial affairs, ensuring that effective financial measures, controls, and procedures are in place. They regularly report to the Board on the organization's financial health. The Treasurer will be supported by a part-time Finance Manager, bookkeeping and accounting services, and other staff and trustees.
What are we looking for?
- A finance professional - A knowledge of charity finance is an advantage. Otherwise an enthusiasm to learn, drawing from sound commercial experience and an understanding of SMEs.
- A strategic thinker with an ability to balance risk and opportunity.
- Clear communicator with the ability to bring the financial information alive to non-finance specialists.
- Willing to play an active role in areas such as forecasting, setting budgets, liaising with auditors
