Citizens Advice Lewisham (CAL) is an independent charity and a member of the national Citizens Advice organisation. They deliver free, impartial and confidential advice to those who live, work or study in the London borough of Lewisham. They provide advice to some of the most vulnerable groups in our area, and help to gain access to justice, prevent homelessness, tackle discrimination, resolve debt problems, and maximise incomes. They are currently seeking a Chair to join their dynamic charity board and replace their current chair who is coming to the end of their term.

 

As Chair of the Trustee Board you will apply your exceptional skills and knowledge to develop successful Board strategy, working effectively with the dedicated Board and Chief Executive, and make a difference to the lives of people in the local community.

 

We are actively seeking candidates with the following:

·       Experience of strategic leadership at a senior level

·       Previous board experience gained from the public, private or non-profit sector

·       Strong ambassadorial and stakeholder engagement skills

·       Networking and partnership skills (desirable)

·       Ability to fulfil the time commitment of 2 days a month

·       A passion for the work of Citizens Advice Lewisham
