About Legasee
Legasee is a charity dedicated to preserving the experiences of military veterans through recorded interviews. These stories capture the rich and diverse histories of individuals who have shaped significant events. By providing short written summaries of these interviews, you’ll help us create a fully searchable archive that empowers schools, universities, researchers, and the public to connect with these incredible narratives.

About the Role  
As a Content Writing Volunteer, you’ll play a crucial role in enhancing the Legasee Archive by creating engaging and informative descriptions of veterans. Drawing on their recorded interviews and transcripts, you’ll provide a snapshot of who they are, when they served, and the key themes of their interview. Your work will make the archive more searchable, user-friendly, and valuable as an educational resource.  

What You’ll Do

• Watch veteran interviews and review transcripts to understand their story.  
• Write concise and accurate descriptions that highlight the veteran’s service, experiences, and contributions (150-200 words).  
• Ensure all content is written with respect and sensitivity to the veterans’ voices.  

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent written English and the ability to summarise information effectively.  
• An interest in history and a passion for preserving personal stories.  
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Commitment and Support:
We ask for a commitment of about 4 hours per week, but we can be flexible to fit around your other commitments. You’ll receive full guidance and support, including a comprehensive content writing guide and access to our volunteer coordinator.
