Trustee Board Vacancy – Deputy Chair

We have over 50 years’ experience of community engagement, service provision, partnership, collaboration, and strategic representation.
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Trustee with a strong background in governance to join our forward thinking Board as Deputy Chair. The Deputy Chair takes on responsibilities delegated to them by the Chair and deputises for them during any absence. They will work closely with the Chair to establish a constructive relationship, share responsibilities and act as a substitute for the Chair whenever required. ICC are looking for a proactive and inspiring individual with a proven track record in charity governance.
The successful applicant will have the range of skills needed to ensure the organisation complies with its governing document and all legislative requirements. A connection with our diverse Irish communities is desirable. As a member of ICC Trustee Board, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to the purpose and values of the organisation and offer the skills you have towards our common goal.
The Time Commitment ICC requires all Trustees to attend 6 Trustee Board meetings each year and to participate in the same number of Committee meetings. Meetings usually take place in the evening; via MS Teams with two in person meetings (May and November). There are occasional ‘away days’ and further duties, but the main responsibility outside formal meetings is to give support via email exchange. This role is subject to a DBS check
