Job description

Do you have a passion for supporting people with mental health issues? Do you have 2 hours a month to spare to support a small charity in Nottingham? 

Improving Lives Notts (known as Improving Lives) support people experiencing multiple disadvantage. Put simply, we support people with long term mental health issues to believe that life can change for the better.

We're looking for a committed and passionate individual to join our Board of Trustees. It is a friendly and experienced group, who govern the charity and support the CEO and Operations Manager to run the organisation. We're looking for people with a broad range of experience on our Board, but it would be advantageous to have marketing and / or fundraising experience.

Some aspects of the role include:

  • Preparing for Board Meetings by reading all Board Documents sent prior to the meeting
  • Provide guidance when required, to support CEO and Operations Manager
  • Contribute to Improving Lives' review of Strategic Plan, as required
  • Review policies and give feedback during Board Meetings
